31. His parents were Jews and today Arabs would kill them
elianna ,   Jerusalem   (12.25.05)
It is about time that the Israeli gov't woke up and stopped allowing the BBC reporters like this one in the country.
32. to kate # 25
aa ,   london   (12.25.05)
thank you for helping me notice that my english is not good enough for the jews in london , but the world is still waiting for an appoligy first for killing jesus and then for torturing the palestinians ...
33. Some Israeli newspapers are just as anti-Israeli
neri ,   nyc, usa   (12.25.05)
Reading certain Israeli newspapers on the net, I would say that they are just as anti-Israeli and negative as the BBC. I think the BBC writers take their cues from some of the Israeli paper!
34. Why waste time with such a fool
Tommy   (12.25.05)
I think that this Matthew Price should go back to London He is talking b...sh... Why even take notice of what he says he is a fool.
35. On Taxes
Steve ,   USA   (12.25.05)
B"H I have no reason to believe these sorts of tourists would have been offered a spot in the manger, today. After all, they had no money to support the PA terror apparatus with. They would not have money with which to pay taxes, because that money was used for limousines of the rich officials who oppress the general population. Perhaps their hey would be considered "stolen lands", or Joseph would have been excluded from even entering without facing misiles because he was a Jewish husband, outlawed from the Oslo territory because he would have been considered an illegal sojourner by the Arabs there. It could be that he would have been treated to the welcome that the IDF soldiers received, perhaps an early hanging and tossing session by "innocent and poor" people who were just expressing their frustration because they do not like the country they live in. In short, I think the roadblocks would be the least of their problems.
36. #32 -aa
Uzziel   (12.25.05)
We don´t need to apologise for the death of Yeshua because he was murdered by the Romans. Neither do we need to apologise "torturing palestinians" because the jewish people are the only and real Palestinians. As for the arab immigrants; they are free to leave Israel anytime they want, specially if their living conditions are so bad as they claim.
37. A further response to "aa"
Kate ,   London   (12.25.05)
"thank you for helping me notice that my english is not good enough for the jews in london" I do realise that it is difficult for someone like you to understand, coming as you do from a culture which treats Jews as third-class citizens, but the Jews of Britain have the same rights as everyone else. Speaking as a citizen whose family has lived in this country for nearly two centuries, I think it's absolutely outrageous that someone as illiterate and racist as yourself has been allowed to live in the UK. "but the world is still waiting for an appoligy first for killing jesus and then for torturing the palestinians" The very minute Muslims apologise for, inter alia: Prophet Muhammad's sexual abuse of children and his perfidy towards and mass-murder of Jews, their treatment of Jews as dhimmis, the theft of Israel from her rightful Jewish owners, the expulsion of 750,000 Jews and the theft of all their property, innumerable suicide bombings, numerous attempts to wipe out Israel, virulent Jew-hatred.
38. BBC = Biased, Bigotted Coverage.
Tahl ,   Israel   (12.25.05)
39. roadblocks
gabriel eskel ,   maoz zion   (12.25.05)
Israel was occupied by Rome at that time. There might have been roadblocks at the time as well. But no muslims, who now occupies Bethlehem and who hate both Jews anh Christians
40. BBC reporter in Bethlehem
Gershon ,   London   (12.25.05)
I think you're all making a mountain out of a molehill. Sure, the BBC is more pro-Arab than pro-Israeli, but this is their Xmas season ( the silly season ) when they always visit the Holy Land. So, Matthew Price was just doing his job and pandering to the anti-Israeli bias where anything, no matter how innocent can be exploited against the Jewish State. Blame the BBC, blame the Christian upbringing of this reporter, blame the pro-Palestinian propaganda, but don't cry wolf too much.
41. A response to "Gershon" on "crying wolf"
Kate ,   London   (12.25.05)
"Gershon" writes: "Blame the BBC, blame the Christian upbringing of this reporter, blame the pro-Palestinian propaganda, but don't cry wolf too much." The notion that Jews are "crying wolf "or make making a "mountain out of a molehill" about a blatantly anti-Semitic piece produced by the most anti-Israeli media organisation on the planet outside of the Muslim world says an awful lot about your own prejudices and blindness. This has nothing to do with some "silly season" which is just a figment of your imagination and everything to do with the BBC's ongoing war against the State of Israel (a war that is taking place against a backdrop of the largest increase in anti-Semitism in the UK since World War II - an increase which last year was the highest in Europe)
42. Blame the Palestinian Terrorists and the Eurabian appeasers
David Landman ,   Natick, USA   (12.25.05)
It alot better to slow people moving than allow terrorists to continue committing crimes against humanity. Why doesnt the BBC report on how the peace fence saves lives?
43. to Kate
(12.25.05)
you are just a horible person ... full of hate and complexes ... i can bett that you are an isolated person with no friends and may be no job and hobbies , why you leave the subject of the report and attack a person for his bad English or his imegration reason or before you attacked the parents of Maechel Steiner is this the way you use when you don't find what to say ? ... this shows that you are just hatress nothing else .... find your self a hobby or learn how to be polite when you talk to other people even if their opinions does not suit you ... i can bett that you have no husband , no friend , no family ... and if you will not find what to hate you will hate even your self .... your personality is NULL ...
44. Didn't the Arabs already take over Bethlehem....
Mugs ,   Corpus Christi, TX   (12.25.05)
...and trash the Church of the Nativity a few years back? Yeah, those guys love the heck out of Jesus and his followers! Seems that Syrians didn't exactly make it easy to visit Jerusalem either. I remember on my trip there seeing the tombstones (Jewish of course) they used to repave the roads. Maybe the geniuses at the BBC missed these little facts?
45. jesus is to blame for the fence!
yiftah ,   israel   (12.25.05)
ok. here's something fun to contemplate: if jesus had not been born, there would be no Islam, because there would be no offshoot religions that deviated from judaism. if there was no islam, there would be no suicide bombers. if there would be no suicide bombers, there would be no fence. so in conclusion: jesus is to blame for the fence. <>
46. To 43
Gabrielle Goldwater ,   Geneva, Switzerland   (12.25.05)
The day you have the guts to put a name to your Left to Lenin nonsense, you can give an opinion You are just a coward ...... Kate was totally right
47. A non-jewish is a 5th class sub-human in this state
Salameh ,   Gaza, Palestine   (12.25.05)
While the hardim jews spit on christian clergy day in and day out in the old city of Jerusalem (not a single israeli politician apologized for it so far), if a jewish goat is hurt in alaska, they come out cry anti-semitism. Chrtistians in this land are ARABs whom are prosecuted by the zionist state just like their muslim ARAB brothers and sisters. The zionist rule over this land turned it into a racist closed militant area like never before in history. Muslims ruled this land for 1400 years and our christian brothers couldn't be any safer. The keys of the Nativity church are entrusted to the Dajani family, a muslim family, by the collective accord fo ALL christian dominations, while when your fellow crusaders came over they spilled our blood, muslims and christians alike !! The zionist state now locks every corner of bethelhem and turns it into a prison, while ANY christian from kafr eldeek, let alone beit jala, CAN'T cross to Jersualem to pray in his holy places just like his muslim brothers thanks to the zionists !! While Arabs can not marry from Arabs from the west bank, Jordan or Egypt according to the zionist laws, a jewish from houndarus or siberia can come, dwell, marry and live on our land and again by the zionist laws. Welcome to the racism-in-action state of the 21st century
48. Kates New friend :0)
richard Hitchings ,   methil   (12.25.05)
I want it to be recorded that Kate is my new best friend....and ...furthermore I support her every opinion....
49. the BBC and little Englaanders
richard Hitchings ,   methil   (12.25.05)
So.... the BBC at it again.... Spouting Pro England propoganda....We Here in Scotland just view "The News" as a daily propaganda machine to enhance the English and Pro Arab Views... For Real News come to Scotland to read "The Broons" or "Oor Willie"
50. A response to #43
Kate ,   London   (12.25.05)
"aa," you are so very obvious. From your totally over-the-top and emotionally puerile response to my posts, I can see that I've just hit more than one nail on the head. I know what I wrote hurt you deeply, but unfortunately the truth so frequently does. You still didn't haven't answered my question about your status in the UK. You're not hiding something are you?
51. Salameh strikes gold
Kate ,   London   (12.25.05)
"Welcome to the racism-in-action state of the 21st century" That would be the most appropriate motto for every Muslim nation in the Middle East. Can you say "Dhimmitude," little Salameh from Gaza (the land with greenhouses that no-one knows how to operate)?
52. MERRY XMAS AND HAPPY CHANNUKKA TO YNET READERS

54. 51 Kate of london
Goy ,   Goyland   (12.26.05)
Can you say "Goy" and "Goyim" O' sweet little Kate ??? To say the least Dhimi is not a racist expression like Goy is. Merry Chritmas ... Kissy ..... Kissy
55. Goy .. doesn't know what really goy says
Gabrielle Goldwater ,   Geneva Switzerland   (12.26.05)
Goy is NOT a racist expression what so ever... You better get the meaning right non-Jewish nations -- other nations -- are called "goyim" and a member of these nations is called a "goy". Any gentile is therefore called a "goy". It is not a derogatory term, but merely a descriptive term. "Goy" is Hebrew for nation. The first use of Goy (plural, Goyim [גוים]) in the Hebrew Bible Hebrew Bible refers to the common portions of the Jewish and Christian canons. Its use is favored by most academic Biblical scholars as a bias-free term that is preferred to both Tanakh and Old Testament when discussing the text in academic writing. (For instance, see section 4.3 of The SBL Handbook of Style from the Society of Biblical Literature .) Hebrew here may refer to either the Hebrew language or the Hebrew people (also known as the Jews who always retained use of the Hebrew language as a spoken language in Israel, or as the language of prayer and study in the diaspora) or both. in Genesis 10:1, in reference to non-Israelite Israelite is a member of the Twelve Tribes of Israel, descended from the twelve sons of the Biblical patriarch Jacob who was renamed Israel by God in the book of Genesis, 32:28. The Israelites were a group of Hebrews, as described in the Hebrew Bible. There are modern historical debates about the origins of the Hebrews/Israelites. Its first use in reference to Israelites is in Genesis 12:2, where Abraham Abraham (אַבְרָהָם "Father/Leader of many", Standard Hebrew Avraham, Tiberian Hebrew ʾAḇrāhām; Arabic ابراهيم Ibrāhīm) is the patriarch of Judaism, recognized by Christianity, and a very important prophet in Islam. The story of his life is told in the Book of Genesis and in the Quran. is promised that his descendants will form a goy gadol or great nation. The word (in its various forms) is used over 550 times in the Hebrew Bible; in the earlier books it more often refers to the Israelites, but in the later books it more often refers to non-Israelite nations. As a result, in Hebrew and Yiddish goy has come to refer to a member of the Gentile The word Gentile (from the Latin "Gentilis" -a translation of the Hebrew: Nochri/נכרי) has several meanings. In the most common modern use it refers to a non-Jew. The word is derived from the Latin term gens (meaning "clan" or a "group of families") and it is often employed in the plural. In late Latin gentilis meant "pagan", and the term gentile has sometimes been used in the past as a synonym for "heathen" or "pagan"; this usage is archaic.
56. Kate's second new friend - she's great
barry ,   tokyo   (12.26.05)
I think Kate is passionate about speaking the truth. Unfortunately, most people in the world - especially in modern England are ignorant. This is understandable when one factors in the difficulty of these people in dealing with their evaporating status as a meaningful nation. The way their hooligans parade around the world ranting about their WW2 and their empire is a symptom if not a clear reflection of their irreversible decline hence the BBC's obsession in America and Israel bashing - any nation that dares to succeed is considered an enemy. Stay tuned for more China bashing to cmome now that the Chinese have surpassed the UK as the world´s 5 largest economy. Soon Turkey will take over England. Ha Ha! Nothing significant has been achieved in the UK over the last three decades except by Thatcher ( a pro-US/ Israeli prime minister) and on a minor scale, R. Branson. For the rest, nothing but a bunch of whiners....
57. Salameh from gaza
karim ,   Morocco   (12.26.05)
Our thoughts are with you and your people who have been suffering for more than 50 years. Merry christmas to your fellow Palestinian christians. They truely need the support of the Muslim majority at this crucial time. It is heartbreaking to see what this Israeli government has been doing to millions of your people, with no shame or impunity. We are just helpess, all we can do is to continue condemning this injustice and inform people all over the world about it.
58. maybe arabs stop blowing themselves up

60. Dear Karim
Leo ,   Australia   (12.26.05)
Is this what you mean by support from the muslim community: "International Human Rights Attorney Justus Weiner has researched the plight of Palestinian Christians for more than eight years. His findings were recently published by the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs. Weiner said Palestinian Christians are now living in fear because persecution against them is increasing. "I think the situation has been on a steep downhill for at least 12 years,” said Weiner, “since Israel withdrew from the Palestinian populated areas of the West Bank and Gaza …they fear for their own lives, they fear for their own family, they fear for the future of their community."
