These reports are plausible because if the U.S. and NATO just allow Iran to go nuclear, they're certifiably insane, and while I don't think highly of them, I still don' t think they're that far gone. We only get 13 percent of our oil from the Middle East. With that in mind, it's totally conceivable that Bush would attack ,especially since he knows he F**ked up, when he didn't deal with North Korea soon enough. If this becomes a decision about what Iran could do ,once it had control of Middle East oil fields, by nuclear intimidation, that will factor into the equation. The threat of one of their terrorist friends getting a weapon, and using it on the United States, or Israel, is a consideration. Do you really think it would be in the best interest of the United States, or the World ,if Iran touched off a nuclear bomb in Israel? Israel would retaliate blowing up all these oil Guru's countries. And they have my permission to do so! The point being, even if the United States doesn't get much of its oil from the Middle East, everyone else does. If the Middle East goes up in smoke, everyone is gonna be scrambling for oil. Is that in anyones best interest? Not really. Israeli genocide isn't either. North Korea is a threat only if they hand off weapons to rogue countries. I haven't seen to many North Koreans strapping suicide bombs on themselves lately. When they do, I'll consider them more of a threat. Iran is indeed planning on developing nuclear weapons and bombs. And Bin Laden and Al Zarqawi are waiting to be their first customers. We have also to worry about N. Korea. I think Iran is going to face a terrible air and missile attck by a allied force of both USA and Israel. Recently the talks of Iran's president is vigorous. Iran should know that if USA and Israel come to attack them, neither Russia nor EU will come to save them as they knew it from Iraq's experience. If Iran wants to progress in future they should be more tactical and clever, otherwise they are taking a risk to be destroyed entirely. Don, you are absolutely correct. I had a Math professor in college who was from Iran. He defected from his country after he was sent here to go to college to learn how to build a Nuclear bomb. After learning how to do so he became convinced that it was insanity and so he defected and refused to go back. What better evidence do you need regarding Iran's true goals...Everyone should read Paul Williams' book "The Al-Queda Connection" and Jerome Corsi's "Atomic Iran". If you do so you too will be convinced of our need to attack Iran and wipe these peoples' ability to wage war.
