There is no room for argument and debate in the army. To allow this would cause a total breakdown of discipline. Discipline is seriously lacking in Israel and other countries. In Israel a law is regarded by most as a recommendation and to break the law and not get caught, is seen as an achievement. No doubt there will be those who will criticize the Chief of the General Staff and try to make political capital out of it. If you do, then please read what I have written about discipline and put yourselves among those in favor of anarchy.

The IDF didn't have this problem until the higher ups set the stage for it. With Baraks retreat from South Lebanon and Sharon's great blunder in Gaza this has sent a loud and clear message to all Isralei soldiers. Why fight against an enemy that Sharon will eventually appease with more land. Why fight an enemy whom the corrupt ,criminal politicans will release from prison to kill again. The blame lies squarely with Israel's leadership who instead of soundly defeating the enemy weaken the nation for a false peace.

There comes a time when one must cut one's losses and get on with living. We have lost over 25,000. Its enough. You want to meddle in our politics, then get yourself over, become an Israeli and vote. If not, then shut up and look at the disgusting state that your country has found itself in.
