31. #25 Face your bloody history for a change
Ann ,   USA   (01.24.06)
The first Holocaust was committed in Medina, Arabia when a Jewish tribe was exterminated and why don't you take a wild guess who perpetrated that crime? Also, does the name of Grand Mufti of Jerusalem ring the bell? Take a look at this picture: http://www.jerusalem-archives.org/period3/3-25.html He was non other but a proud Palestianian Arab.
32. Arabs Not involved in the Holocaust?
Digital Heretic   (01.24.06)
Then, who, exactly was the Grand Mufti? That is his picture with Hitler was it not? Arabs were next? I'm sorry, but how is that possibly a credible statement? Were the Arabs upsettng German apple carts by simply exisiting? You and our local Hitler youth, Steiner should have have coffee sometime and discuss other ways to spread Jewish hatred. No one here is buying it.
33. Bah. Ann beat me to it....
Digital Heretic   (01.24.06)
Good work Ann
34. Ray, ignore the fanaticks!
Ami ,   Chicago   (01.24.06)
Just ignore the idiots. They hate and that's iut. If they didn't have each other to hate, they wouldn't have anything to do with themselves. It is amazing to me how I cannot find one intelligent comment about your column. Clearly, these writers are just venting because their views have no merits elsehwere. I do not agree with everything you write and I am sure you don't agree with everything I believe. But I do believe that your vierws make more sense than what I hear from others here. Don't stop. You are, as YnetNews says, "A Ray of Hope." The more you tell the truth, the harder your words will be attacked, like other wrters here. Ami
36. #29, Yosef: Are you a Hamas supporter
(01.25.06)
You sound like a Hamas supporter who is trying to write critical pieces that are disguised in sheep's clothing. Hanania criticizes Hamas and you say he is "the enemy?"
37. Right about the Israel / Hamas connection
Dorothy Friend ,   Tel Aviv   (01.25.06)
And the US did the same thing in Afganistan -- helping the Taliban because they were a religious organization fighting the Godless Commies! And now we're all paying for those mistakes.
38. I stand by my views on Hamas
Ray Hanania ,   Chicago IL USA   (01.26.06)
I think it's clear that Hamas has won a major victory in Democratic elections ... it's a tragedy and a blow to peace. But, I blame the United States for tying the hands of the PA: freezing its funding, closing its offices, restricting it's officials here in the US. And then throwing money like bribes at the last minute to help the PA when it only made the PA look less and less like an independent and strong entity. I also blame Israeli extremists who have been so good at punishing ALL Palestinians for the actions of Hamas while NEVER accepting their own role in the conflict or the suffering they heap on Palestinians. They helped start Hamas by Giving Sheik Yassin the license to build his religious-driven fanaticism in the late 1970s, and they continued to help Hamas by never distinguishing between Hamas and the PA. Now we see a difference because it is too late. Tragedy in the making. It is amazing, isn't it, that Israel has killed all of Hamas' leaders and they STILL HAVE SUCCEEDED in standing up to Israel, winning like this. It proves that Israel cannot defeat the Palestinians and maybe the real loser int he collapse of Camp David was not the Palestinians who "failed to accept the most generous offer," but the Israelis who were not generous enough and now find themselves faced with a future of even greater conflict. But I am sure the wild voices who criticize my view will be celebrating almost rejoicing belie ving that a worsened conflict means they have a better chance of winning. That thinking will kill us all. Ray Hanania www.hanania.com
39. Ray, I know some people like that
Dorothy Friend ,   Tel Aviv   (01.26.06)
They are absolutely joyous over Sharon's illness and the Hamas victory. They see those events as speeding up the coming of the Messiah. They aren't interested in living in Israel -- they want that Last Battle, and the World to Come!
40. Ray, Ray, Ray, you are a TEXTBOOK case:
CZ ,   NYC   (01.26.06)
"I think it's clear that Hamas has won a major victory in Democratic elections ... it's a tragedy and a blow to peace.... " "But, I blame the United States for tying the hands of the PA ..." "I also blame Israeli extremists ..." Ray, you are very typical. Keep blaming everybody and anybody BUT the Palestinians for their electing Hamas, a murderous group of thugs dedicated to their fantasy of the destruction of Israel.
41. Ray, you (conspicuosly?) forgot to mention something:
edan ,   israel   (01.26.06)
Why did the U.S. and Israel stop giving financial aid to Fatah...? Two main Reasons -1) They realized that Fatah was corrupt (to put it mildy), and 2) They made no efforts at all (they said they would) to fight violence and terrorism. They also (and this ties in with reason #1) did practically nothing for the poorer palestinians. So really, if someone is to blame it is only Fatah. Them and the Palestinian people, of course, who voted for a "party" they know full well is a terrorist group.
42. #2 Mohammed
DR ,   Florida, USA   (02.10.06)
You speak like a true terrorist!!! Taking over the world and converting everyone to islam sounds like the Nazi attitude to me. It will never happen , of course, b/c Islam is the most backwards religion in the world. It was actually made up after Christianity and Judaism had already existed, so to follow a book that some stupid men wrote (which I think the Bible is the same) sounds crazy to me!!! You need to see the Western world as we see it and then you will understand why it is better. Until then, you will wallow in your crazy dreams and fantasies about world domination etc. Kind of crazy!!!
