The Hunting down of the terrorists was one of the factors of me going to Israeli in the 70's and staying there serving there. and almost dying there,,,, seeing this film and reliving that time amd memory is making me want more and more to return home to Israel.. The film falters a few times. and there is a little pandering involved. BUT if any of you remember the film about this that had Micheal York in it then you ee that they followed it almost to the letter! (Sorry name of film forgotten)

I'm not seeing this piece of trash. Yeah, right, Golda really wrung her hands over this supposed dilema of hunting murderers.....the victims were the athletes. Speilberg is a rightous Jew, though. With Schinder's List and the Shoa project and all, but he missed the right path on this one.

I'm Jewish and to me this film was a real eye opener. Those who think this movie equates teorrists with Mossad are blind and missing the point. This movie is about as anti-terrorism as it gets. But it also understands what happens next and is concerned with long term effects. Please don't call this movie that is filled with some much love forIsrael and humanity as a whole trash. Don't let right wing and left wing media sway you from seeing it. See i for yourself and make up your own mind.

From the Israeli point of view, terrorists must be hunted down for what they did. According to that, Palestinians should hunt down those terrorists who perpetrated massacres like dir yaseen, kafr kasem , tantoura and many other villages and cities in the 48 territories. Didn’t the Israelies start the first wave of terrorism when they occupied Palestine? This makes most of the Israelis terrorists. Isn’t it?? I think Spielberg was right terrorism lead to counter terrorism. When you came to this land and started to massacre the indigenous people, you should've expected that some of the survivors would retaliate. Give them back what you took from them and let them go back to their homes.

Spielberg's righteousness is limited to Jewish Holocaust victims. He seems to have a problem with Jews vs. terrorists. And that is a BIG problem for me.

I'll never understand how the modern left has latched on to moral equivalence in general, I guess the decline of values and morals due to disassociation from history, Gd, etc in these last few decades.. But the results are frightening to me, a young Jew! This is one spielberg flick I won't be adding to my collection.

Mrs. Weinberg has said it all. Steven Spielberg and his screenwriter, Tony Kushner, have distorted history in order to put forth their obscene beliefs. In the case of Kushner, a known Jewish hater of Israel, his motives are apparent. Kushner has lamented the establishment of Israel and his fictionalized account of the lead Mossad agent abandoning Israel for the good life in Brooklyn is what this wretched freak would like to see---Israelis leave Israel. Spielberg's motives are more difficult to understand. His work on the Shoah project shows that he loves dead Jews and defenseless Jews. His views on Israel are definitely Peace Now and politically correct. However, he has not been seen as anti-Israel. He may be one of those misguided left-winger who does not understand that there is a difference between self-defense and terrorism.

The Jews of Hollywood have abandoned Israel. When the whole world came out against Israel during a UN-sponsored conference in Durban, South Africa, the Jews of Hollywood were silent. When the schools, buses and restaurants in Israel were blowing up in the street of Tel Aviv or Haifa the Jews of Hollywood were silent. No, this movie is not sickening. No, it's not anti-Israeli. It is filled with love for the country and and worry about it's future. It an uncomonly intelligent film which apparently is enough for people to hjate it, All other Widows , applauded Spielberg by the way. That should tell something right there. But was this mentiond? My response is so what if another movie had this ending (scene?). The facts are the facts. Mr. Kushner is a vicious critic of Israel who has wished that Israel never came into existence. In light of Kushner's writings, what is one to make of the Mossad agent abandoning Israel to live in Brooklyn? Mr. Cooper answers by citing another movie. Gee, how insightful. In addition, the movie is based on a work of fraud, Spielberg never consulted Israelis involved in the aftermath of Munich, and he falsified Golda Meir's words. Unfortunately, all Mr. Cooper can do is insult the critics of the movie because he is too intellectually lazy to understand exactly what this movie is about.

Exactly where does #6, "Sam" get his history? From Hamas or is it that noted historian Adolph Arafat or Arafat's cousin, the nazi Grand Mufti? Being "Jewish myself" is NOT much of an an excuse for accepting the BS larded into a rather weak film, which is conversely filled with rather decent acting talent. Much evil done by those who were "Jewish by the way". The main point of the film was the fiction of moral equality between those who murder (and murder without any moral, civil, national or legal sanction, considering the point in time that the situational events took place) and those who hunt and take governmentally sanctioned action to bring justice to those murderers. (israel's policy is the equivenent of a warrant). Selection of an vocal, hostile and avowed anti-Zionist (Tony Kushner)to script the film and the obvious overt selective amnesia of the facts of the actual events severely taint the film and with it, Speilberg himself. Sort of like having Julius Streicher do a weedend edition puff piece in Der Strumer, lauding the good works of the Jewish community of Berlin. A false start from the beginning. The false Rodney King bleats are appearant and would it not be interesting to see a protrayal of events as they occured, juxtoposed with class writing, albeit without a fictional hunting license of Israel and Jews as "perps" and the real Bad Guy's (excuse me. The Black Septembarists) as victims.
