can't respond to those of you who vilify islam, you have your point of view and i can't be bothered to change it. I'm british arab, muslim and grew up around my share of americans and jews, It's helped me look at the world from a number of angles. I can only engage with people who respect people. Muslims are people, and while we cannot command your respect, i hope there are some of you who can appreciate that many individuals among us deserve it. I guarantee you that if political influences and commercial interests were removed from the equation, the muslim nation, the jewish nation and the christian world can live in pax and harmony within each others' folds. Of course this is an ideallic scenario.....for now all I can do is spread my own brand of love to all the muslim, jewish and christian women that i come across :-)

I agree Kate. I also wonder where's the gratitude from the 250.000 muslims that live in Denmark (of 5 mill. inhabitants) - many (most?) on social welfare. Muslims that came as refugees and was given a home in Denmark. They were given the right to speak freely and maintain their religion. Do they thank us ? And the small country of Denmark send $40+ mill. to Gaza every year along with peacekeeping police - do they thank us ? No they burn our flag and christian symbol and threaten to kill! I have the Quran, and the bible and the torah. You know, you are so right about it. The Quran is not more hateful or less peaceful than the other holy books, but its how his followers act on it, and at this point in time a lot of Muslims are not living like peaceful and loving people and so you must understand that until Muslims do not speak up and show the rest of the world that this is not real Islam it will go on. Ayman, it's nice to hear the way you speak about all people and I speak with all too. I have Arab friends and also in other religions. We can all sit down and be friends and respect each other. I do not think It was good and nice what happened in Denmark, but the reaction of Muslims as victims who never hate and never make hateful cartoons about other religions made the rest of the world angry about this. Cheers to David, he get it right.....Once again the muslim community is showing it's true religious beliefs. Islam is a violent religion and there are centuuries of history to prove it. I have participated in my religion for 5 decades and I have yet to hear anyone associated with my religion (and many others as well) that strapped a bomb on their back with the sole purpose of blowing up and killing innocent people. Yeah...some peaceful religion Islam is......Islam respects ONLY Islam and no others.

I am sick to the teeth of bowing to Muslim pressure around the world. Europe is by and large Christian, and we should stick together, against an ever growing fanatical religion. I have more in common with Danes, Germans, Spanish, Americans etc than with any Middle East country. The Irony is (if they knew what that was) that we give them freedom of speech in our countries, yet they say they hate us.(infidels) But in their own country they don't have the same freedom.
