61. According to his definition of international law
Ilan ,   Ariel   (02.08.06)
He is absolutely correct. If Israel wants to play the game according to Kofi's rules then it has to stop the preventive killings, withdraw back to the boundaries set by the partition plan in '48, and allow the Palestinian refugees back in. Anything less is a violation of international law. The absurdity is that Olmert and his brainless supporters think that Israel can partially withdraw and satisfy Kofi and the international community. It is all a lie and a lie done out of expediency.

Learn some law before you start talking nonsense. Extrajudicial killings are wrong, yes. So is firing Qasams on civilians in other country. Since Annan hasn't suggested, let alone done, an alternative, we'll let our huys in Kheyl haAvir continue with the great job they've been doing. International law doesn't mandate a return to pre-1948 borders but a return to the borders as they were at the time of Israel's recognition--the Green Line. Re refugees, wrong again. International law demands a just solution to the refugee question, not necessarily a return.
63. #62 You are still stuck on stupid
Ilan   (02.08.06)
The UN has made clear the legal rights and duties in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in a series of key widely supported resolutions, including the following: * UNGA Resolution 181 (II) concerning the Future Government of Palestine (November 29, 1947) establishes the parity of the two peoples with respect to their respective rights to establish states on the former mandated territory of Palestine, and the duty of both states to respect both minorities and the special juridical status of Jerusalem. * UNGA Resolution 194 (III) (December 11, 1948) affirms the right of Palestinians to return to their original homes and lands, and to receive compensation for any losses incurred, as well as the right of resettlement for those Palestinian refugees choosing not to return, and compensation for their losses. The UN established the UN Conciliation Commission to uphold the rights of Palestinian refugees. * UNSC Resolutions 242 and 338 (November 22, 1967 and October 22, 1973) require Israeli withdrawal from territory occupied during the 1967 and 1973 wars, and call for

So what there is different from what I had asserted in my response #62?? Also, bear in mind that only UNSC resolutions are a source of law.
65. #47 - Brotherhood?
Arie   (02.08.06)
Annan has no "lack Christian brothers." The only brothers he has are coloured green, as in DOLLARS. That's why he has been so close to the Arabs, who have funneled megabucks into the Annan family treasury!
66. UNSC only binding under Chapter 7
Ilan ,   Ariel   (02.08.06)
http://www.reference.com/browse/wiki/UN_Security_Council There are, however, a group of jurists who claim that UNSC and UN General are binding. And those who posture as moralists are giving away Ramat Eshkol and the Western Wall along with Hebron. This is what your Israel will look like: http://www.alternativenews.org/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=269&Itemid=70&lang=ISO-8859-1
67. OH ANNAN !!!
Adil Darwish ,   London   (02.08.06)
BRAVO Annan !!!!! and who will bring the to TRIAL ???? Please DON't PASS THE BACKET.
68. # 2 Kofi's klaptrap logic
Ginette Golden ,   Canada   (02.08.06)
In continuing the response of # 2, Kofi man has set policies, made several comments against Israel and Jews from day one of his appointment. Exactly who in their right mind has placed a Muslim at the top job of the UN? Surely, he was not elected. His beliefs, his views, his hatred for us Jew makes a joke of his position...it's time to retire to the farm Kofi and take some of your rocket launchers with you!
69. Response to # 23. for you all here.
Ginette Golden ,   Canada   (02.08.06)
We may be wrong "buddy" but we sign our names, we don't hide behind a screen... Take your hood off will you!
70. Response to DACON9 , NEUROLOGIST (02.08.06)
Ginette Golden ,   Canada   (02.08.06)
Dacon9, I like your style, you described my thoughts. And Carl you had better return to the safety of the psycho ward you left , and make sure on your way there to avoid the company of people (men & women alike) who appear to have a bulging tummy!
71. Jerrold Cohen #45
Chaim   (02.08.06)
Jerrold - Learn to read Hebrew and not the King James translation. " Thou Shall Not Kill" is "Thou Shall Not Murder" - justifiable killing is not prohibited by Tanach - any cursory reading of the Bible will show you that. Your government, who you support with your tax dollars, has killed more people in Iraq and Afghanistan than Israel and the Palestinians combined have ever killed, and those attacks by the US have not been as surgically calculated to avoid collateral damage to civilians as have the Israeli targeted killings of murderers who planned, organized and executed the mass murder and mass maiming of Israeli civilians. So, if you are going to claim to be a Bible scholar, at least learn to read your sources correctly and ask Kofi why he hasn't protested the targeted assassinations of Al Queda leaders (completely justified in my view) by the USA, or is it only Israel, and not your country, that is allowed to be chastized for this? I guess your solution is for Israel to declare war on Gaza and kill as many people as possible, rather than just the two culprits in this instance.
72. Reply to # 58 - Nane Wallenberg Annan
Chaim   (02.08.06)
You're right. Nane Annan is not Jewish, she is, however, distantly descended from Swedish Jews (the Benedicks banking family) through her mother (whose brother was Raoul Wallenberg).
73. KOFIKO ANNAN
DR ,   Florida, USA   (02.08.06)
Kofiko is a joke just like the rest o the UN. The US can Veto the UN at any time so his words and actions mean virtually nothing. As long as there is a decent leader in the white house who has eyes and ears and can see right from worng, the UN will be insignificant. Kofi is lucky he is not in jail right now. Everyone knows he is corrupt and that he knew about his son's dealings. KOFIKO GO HOME!!!
74. Maybe we should rockup at their homes....
(02.08.06)
.....hand them some candy and ask them very very nicely to come along to the police station, and please not to blow themsemselves up along the way because the explosion gives the chief a major headache This is war Kofi, not a civilian domestic situation. It may be a low intensity war but its still war. And if you must know they even sometimes wear fatigues. So go jump in a lake
