31. Hatecrimes more serios than terrorism
zalman ,   tsfat,Israel   (02.09.06)
at first I thought the sentence was adepuate. But now I see that hate crimes are not taken seriously enough. If this had been a terrorist the sentince for stabbing three people premeditated and with no remorse intending to incite others to simiular behavior as in this case the sentence would have been much harsher. this guy got off lightly in this case and any attempt to reduce the sentence should be met with a decision to increase it as it is not really adequate to begin with. lets not get hijacked into a haredi bashing bog, because of one maniac. Yea,Yea. we all know the agenda of any fundamentalist religeous persuasion be it jewish christian or muslim ; however it could have as easily been commited by a secular chuk chuk as is usally the case in other instances in the west. Theis is a HATE CRIME pure and simple , and as such must be trated as the most serious catagory of crime, worse than terrorism which is also a hate crime.this has nothing to do with the secular -religious conflict in this country. to hijack it into this political bog of pluralism vs who own's G-d marass is a big mistake and belittles the seriousness of this crime. to treat it to make points for the Meretz agenda is an attempt to highjack the whole gay Israeli comunity against it's own interests. This brings up the whole question of the venue of GAY PRIDE 2006. The decision of where to hold it shold be dictated by the convence an benefit of all the people that are being invited from all over the world. Tel Aviv has all the hotels aned hostels, the bars , the beaches , the abundence of secular restaurants (not much in the way of treif in Jerusalem) , the baths , the night clubs etc etc. why on earth would someone want to hold a Pride celebration in Jerusalem insted of Tel Aviv. this is after all not an afternoon stroll but a week ong festival. there is very litle to attract gay peole to in Jerusalem. . all respect to mr Hagai Eldad and oprn house , this is not a vehicle to push Meritz's agenda and intercine Israeli Quarrels. Israel is one of the most gay friendly countries in the west (though there is certainly room for improvment) Hijacking all these guests into the bog of pluralism vs religion vs who owns god only incites a conflict that these people have nothing to do with and can only result in minalmally more bad feelings all around and set back the whole gay rights movement for no reason. the venue for gay pride should be dictated by the convenience and int erest of the participants. as a gay israeli I would rather see Gay Pride in Tel Aviv , thats where everyone would wind up anyway . Jerusalem Is a terrable idea. LETS HEAR IT FOR TEL AVIV, DO NOT BE LED LIKE SHEEP TO JERUSALEM. iM LISTENING /
32. re; why Jerusalem /
zalman ,   tsfat , israel   (02.09.06)
Unfortunately my message was deleted. but my essential pinbts were: In reality the sentece upon reflection was inadequate. this was a hate crime pure and simple, and as such is the most serios of crimes. more serious than terrorism which is also a form of hate crime. A terrorist who stabs three people premeditated and who (may his name be eraxed)has no remorse would receve a more se3vere sentence. It is important not to get hijacked into a haredi bashing bog as this crime could have as easily been commited by a secular chuk chuk (isreli rd neck) as is usually the case in the west. Any attempt to hve this sentenced reduced should be met with an increase (possable under israeli justice system) to emphasise the absolute seriousness of this crime. concerning the VENUE OF GAY PRIDE 2006, why on earth

Unfortunately my message was deleted. but my essential points were: In reality the sentence ,upon reflection, was inadequate. this was a hate crime pure and simple, and as such is the most serious of crimes. more serious than terrorism which is also a form of hate crime. A terrorist who stabs three people premeditated and who (may his name be erased)has no remorse would receve a more severe sentence. It is important not to get hijacked into a haredi bashing bog as this crime could have as easily been commited by a secular chuk chuk (israeli red neck) as is usually the case in the west. Any attempt to have this sentenced reduced should be met with an increase (possable under israeli justice system) to emphasise the absolute seriousness of this crime. concerning the VENUE OF GAY PRIDE 2006, why on earth would anyone want to choose jerusalem over Tel Aviv for such a festival. TA has all the hotels, hostels, bars , baths, beaches, international restaurants, and all the other atrraction to the gay croud which Jerusalem Has none. all respct to Hagai Eldad an Jerusalem open house. The Israeli Gay Community should not be hijacked by the intercene secular/religious conflict. It is totally unfair to all the guests that are being invited to Gay Pride to use them in this manner . The venue must be dictated by the convenience and facilities for the participants. gay pride is not an afternnon stroll. It is a week long festival. Israel is one of the most gay friendly countries in the west (with room for improvement) but haveing pride in Jerusalem an only cause bad feelings all around setting back the the aims of the whole movement. as a gay israeli gay man I would go to pride in TA but probably skip it in Jerusalem(BORING) LETS HEAR IT FOR PRIDE 2006 IN TEL AVIV . im listening ? ...Z t

35. GAY PRIDE 2006 TEL AVIV not Jerusalem
ZALMAN ,   tsfat Israel   (02.09.06)
I am speaking as a gay Israeli man.Why on earth would anyone want to have Gay Pride in Jerusalem and not Tel Aviv. Tel Aviv has all the hotels , hostels . bars, baths, beaches , international restaurants , etc etc. All respect to Hagai Eldad and open house ,Jerusalem has nothing to attract a gay croud. the venue of gay pride must be dictated by the interests and conveniece of all the guests you are inviting from all the world. Hijacking us all into the bog of intercene Israeli conflict of pluralism vs. relion is unfair , against our interests and counter productive. Israel is one of the most Gay friendly countries. in the west . creating bad feelings all around for no reason will set the movement for gay rights back. Meritz is not the Israeli gay community so don't hijack us. let me hear it for GAY PRIDE I2006 TEL AVIV . i'M listening ? ...Z

37. to Shimon in Sweden
charles ,   petach tikva   (11.08.06)
Living in Sweden , you are not entirely informed . Some months ago there were 2 facts regarding family violence in very religious [ ? ]family's . One case in Jerusalem where a charidi murdered his child , the Child's body was taking to a place for authopsy , and friends of the father came and stole this . they also talked about antisemitism because the police arrested one of them . A second case happened in Bne berak , in the family of a great rabbi , where the friend of his daughter was assaulted and wounded harshly . I also lived in Belgium , much more than you . Why is there less anti charidi feeling there ? Simply , in Belgium they can not dictate their way of life to others .
38. The most friendly to gay's ?
charles ,   petach tikva   (11.08.06)
Not at all . Would an openly homosexual be accepted as minister ? where is a law permitting gay weddings ? In an European country , Belgium , this is possible . There were approx. 20000 weddings celebrated last year , 2,5 % of them gay .
39. Righteousness in God's Sight
David Harvey ,   Odessa, Ukraine   (11.11.06)
I feel the young man is correct as Isaiah 5:20 said: sa 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Twelve years was a travesty of justice, Phinehas listed below in Faussetts Book of Bible Names was promoted to a priesthood for a less serious abomination of adultery and fornication, homosexuality deserves punishment from God on High. Phinehas An Egyptian name in the time of Rameses II. 1. Eleazar's son; Aaron's grandson (Exo_6:25). His mother was of Putiel's daughters. By his zeal in avenging the Lord's cause on the Simeonitc prince Zimri, and Cosbi his Midianite paramour, Phinehas turned away Jehovah's wrath, making an atonement for Israel, and was given Jehovah's covenant of peace, an everlasting priesthood (Numbers 25; Psa_106:30-31). Phinehas, with the holy instruments and trumpets to blow, accompanied the expedition which avenged Jehovah and Israel on Midian (Num_31:6, etc.). Phinehas, as ambassador with ten princes, was delegated by Israel to remonstrate with the two and a half tribes as to the altar the latter built at Jordan; these satisfied the delegates and Israel as to their intentions. Thus was Phinehas a mediator of Israel's brotherly unity, as before he had vindicated Israel's purity (Jos_22:13-34). Lastly Phinehas stood before the ark inquiring of Jehovah for Israel, "shall I go yet again ... against Benjamin my brother?" (Jdg_20:23; Jdg_20:28.) The same zeal for the purity yet brotherhood of Israel characterized him now in old age as in his youth. His zeal, i.e. the faith that prompted it, "was counted unto him for righteousness unto all generations for evermore" (compare Gen_15:6; Rom_4:3). Phinehas had an allotment in Mount Ephraim; here on a hill bearing his name his father Eleazar was buried (Jos_24:33). The closing verses, concerning Joshua's death, etc., are ascribed to Phinehas (Baba barbra, in Fabricius, 893.) Eli of Ithamar's line interrupted the succession of the line of Phinehas; Zadok resumed it under Solomon. The tomb of Phinehas is shown at Awertah, four miles S.E. of Nablus, in the center of the village, within an area overshadowed by an old vine. 2. Second son of Eli, killed with Hophni, in battle with the Philistines (1Sa_1:3); according to the prophecy: 1Sa_2:34; 1Sa_4:4; 1Sa_4:11; 1Sa_4:17; 1Sa_4:19; 1Sa_14:3. (See ELI; HOPHNI.) 3. A Levite (Ezr_8:33).
