1. The only cure: common sense
Bitter Pill ,   USA   (02.12.06)
One mankind - too many religions, is probably our problem. Betrand Russell's common sense proposals may trump Lincoln, and certainly all theologians. We should listen to reason as presented by Kant, Jefferson, Hegel, Nietzsche, Ahad Ha'am, John Rawls, Peter SInger, Emmanuel Levinas...
2. WHY THESE so called rABBIS HAVE TO INSULT ME
(02.14.06)
And of course, there is fanaticism as well within the Jewish community... WHY DOES EVERYONE WHO IS COMMENTING ON OTHER RELIGIONS AND COUNTRIES AND PEOPLES HAVE TO JUSTIFY OR VALIDATE OR SHOW THEIR FAIR CRITIZISMS BY INJECTING AN INSULT TO JUDAISM ? THIS IS THE LOWEST FORM OF JUDAISM , ALLEGIANCE TO TORAH AND TRUTH . I CANT READ PAST AND REFUSE TO READ PAST THOSE PASSAGES BECAUSE IT IS NOT AN HONEST CRITIQUE . NO ONE IS PERFECT, BUT DONT USE ME TO CRITIQUE SOMEONE ELSE. LET ME HAVE MY DIGNITY AND SELF RESPECT. I DONT NEED THESE AUTHORS, SO CALLED ''ORTHODOX RABBIS TO INSULT ME OR MY NATION ANY MORE THEN IS ALREADY ON US AND TORAH AND 'GD'.

no -one was using you to critique someone else. This is a learned man giving his OPINION. He is commenting from his perspective. He is not speaking on behalf of Jews, it's his personal viewpoint. He wasn't insulting anyone. If anything, he was saying we should be tolerant of each other. This would work in an ideal world. How could you say allegiance to the Torah and truth is the lowest form of Judaism? Yes there is fanaticism in Judaism, but that just adds fuel to the fire. As a person of peace he is saying we need to stand firm on our ideals, but to listen to others and keep open minds so that we don't become fanatics ourselves. I don't think there is anything wrong with that opinion.
