He didn't say anything significant whatsoever.
2. 'Our model is Muhammad'
Imbar ,   Golan forever   (02.16.06)
Muhammad with ham and cheese or Muhammad with pink panties? I have seen what this Muhammad represents from beheadings, to hijackings, to kidnappings to bus bombings to hiding in mosques and churches to rioting to down right hate to hiding behind woman and children and everything in between. I have searched for one word in the not so holy Koran which even comes close to the word Jerusalem and came up empty handed. Who is the theif I ask you? I have tried to see things as Bush does when he calls Abbas a man of Peace all the way to making me believe Islam is a noble religion where only a few wish to hijack it and with that I came up empty handed. A a Jew who craves peace from the depth of my heart.....I have witnessed and felt the fruits of Arab/Muslim hate, injustice, incitement and prejudice so PLEASE DO NOT PREACH MUHAMMAD TO ME!!! It is pure unadulterated bullshit. The more we search for even a bit of redemption in the people of Muhammad the more I come up with 0 and a sad heart. In the case of Muhammad and his people hope does not spring eternal. My dog just took a crap. You look at that crap and no matter how hard you try to envision it as something else, in the end it is just as it is......crap. When you think of trying to find any redeeming qualities in the people of Muhammad, remember my little parable.

the Hamas platform is based on a fictional character invented to justify military conquest and domination

5. Abdel for PM!
Josh ,   Jerusalem   (02.16.06)
He sounds like a very open-minded man, ready to abollish terrorism and discuss the fair partition of this country... if it's OK by Allah.
6. Ironic
Shai ,   Israel   (02.16.06)
It's ironic that he brings up Pharoah and lumps the Israelis in with the Egyptians as if we are oppressing THEM! The opposite is the case. With only a few exceptions, certainly far less than could elect a government to make the exception the rule, the Israelis are far and away the ONLY ones in this conflict actually interested in living in peace side by side, and ONLY the Israelis have made irreversable moves toward preparing their population to compromise for the sake of Peace. By now, the reward and result of our efforts are known. It was a waste of precious life, as our "sacrifices for peace" only served to undermine our national unity, and for what, so we could listen to this slob lecture us? Feh. The words of the Palestinian terrorists are nonsense. Just as the Islamic world is being deceived into believing that their success at humiliating and terrorizing the Western World is a sign of divine pleasure, so believed Pharoah when he denied the Jews the right to leave Egypt for the Land of Israel. So believed Hitler when he swept Europe unopposed. So it was with Haman as well, as we'll recall during the upcoming Purim holiday. Yet, all underwent huge and humiliating defeats. "Hafuch al hafuch", or "reversal on reversal". The word used in the Torah regarding the actions of G-d leading to Pharoah's defeat is one that means he was "toyed with". G-d made the Jews appear weak and Pharoah appear strong. G-d led Pharoah, in the first known sting operation, to believe himself to be an invincible god so that his fall would be all the more notable and painful, and the Strength of G-d through the success of the Jews all the more notable and pleasureable. And the same will happen now with Hamas, Al Qaeda, Hizbollah, Iran and the rest of them. They are being toyed with, so that their final fall will be all the more humiliating and notable. That day will be precious. Their thinking they are untouchable is simply part of the pattern. They couch it in fine terms, as though they are doing all their effort for Allah, and for the "Palestinian People", but they're doing it for themselves, and to assuage their feelings of inferiority. They are prideful, spiteful and hateful people, who can't let bygones be bygones, who can't take a slight and stand strong. They're whining teenaged ruffians with a cultural pout. I for one am looking forward to watching them and their supporters fall, and fall hard.
7. Fact check
Issa ,   New York, USA   (02.16.06)
The claim that Mohammad never existed is totally incorrect. Regardless of whether you believe in his teachings or the full story/stories of Islam (i.e., that the Qur'an is revealed, that all of the events claimed to have happened in his life actually happened, etc.), is another matter. But he is a real historical figure. Moreover, reducing any religion down to such simplistic terms (inventing a figure to justify military conquest and discrimination), is excruciatingly simplistic. Yes, religions and their development are complex matters. All religions do involve strong elements of politics, control, and oppression. But they also involve sincere beliefs and other complex motivations. This is as true of Christianity, Judaism, and Hiduism as it is of Islam.
8. LOCK UP YOUR 9 YEAR OLD DAUGHTERS
alan ,   south africa   (02.16.06)
9. Hope
Josh ,   Jerusalem   (02.16.06)
It really saddens me, angers me, actually really pisses me off when I see a head of a terrorist organization, in a "legitimate" government, in charge of millions of people, calling Israel's prime minister one of the biggest persecutors of the Jewish people... and then we give them more money. When is this country going to learn that terrorists aren't going to suddenly drop their guns if we draw a few lines on the map? Take Mr. Duaik for example. He is a leader of Hamas (dedicated to the total destruction of Israel, written in their covenant). His beliefs are very deeply rooted religious beliefs. More land's not going to help! Israel needs to get rid of terrorism. That means getting rid of Hamas leaders like him, not legitimizing them. In the age of enlightenment, people started realizing that there was a possibility to improve society, prosper and grow. They found that rational thinking can initiate change that could benefit mankind. From Napoleon until today, it has been proven that people's yearning for liberty and freedom can not be repressed... as long as the people want it enough (Jews and Muslims).
10. the koran
Betsy   (02.16.06)
during my search for G-d, I studied most of the world's religions (except for my own-Judaism). I remember that the koran mentions no reward for women, only for men. also, the koran had the least depth of anything else around. I found what I was looking for in Judaism. considering the mentality of our enemy, expecting them to respect Judaism is like wanting a dog to appreciate nuclear physics. the Bible does say though, that God will do to us what He was planning to do to them. Jews needed/need to kick them completely out of Israel, no negotiations with them, make no covenants with them, rid Israel of them. That will happen. God will destroy them.
11. To #2 and #3 Mohammed vs. others

14. prophesy
Betsy   (02.16.06)
more than once prophesy refers to the "mute abomination." not just any ole abomination, the writings are very specific so that there can be no misunderstanding. all the mosques emit a call to "so-called" prayer. the dome of the rock is mute. islam imposes many abominations on Israel. the mute one (standing in the Holy place) is unique. one of the places it is mentioned is at the end of the Book of Daniel, referring to the End. the mute abomination will stand there until destruction is decreed. the enemy will either be completely destroyed, or they will all bow down to the God of Israel. either way is ok with me.
15. #10
Yasir ,   US   (02.16.06)
71. “ And the believer men and the believer women, they are guardians to one another; they enjoin good and forbid evil and they perform the prayer and they pay the alms (zakāt), and they obey Allah and His Messenger. It is they on whom Allah will bestow His Mercy. Verily Allah is the Mighty, the Wise. ” Sura 009-verse071 Any many other verses specify that all believers (men and women-specifies women in the Arabic text) will be rewarded.
16. #11
Yasir ,   US   (02.16.06)
The thousand prophets before Mohammed (pbuh) were sent with the same message and they saved people. Quran says: "We make no distinction between one another of His Messengers"

18. Gaza Boy for a trillion time
Gabrielle Goldwater ,   Geneva Switzerland   (02.16.06)
No matter how much you have your terrorist leaders brainwash you Your Palestine is a MYTH and will remain a MYTH. Palestine has never existed . . . as an autonomous entity. There is no language known as Palestinian. There is no distinct Palestinian culture. There has never been a land known as Palestine governed by Palestinians. Palestinians are Arabs, indistinguishable from Jordanians (another recent invention), Syrians, Lebanese, Iraqis, etc. Keep in mind that the Arabs control 99.9 percent of the Middle East lands. Israel represents one-tenth of one percent of the landmass. But that's too much for the Arabs. They want it all. And that is ultimately what the fighting in Israel is about today . . . No matter how many land concessions the Israelis make, it will never be enough. It has never been the name of a nation or state. It is a geographical term, used to designate the region at those times in history when there is no nation or state there. The word itself derives from "Peleshet", a name that appears frequently in the Bible and has come into English as "Philistine". The Philistines were mediterranean people originating from Asia Minor and Greek localities. They did not speak Arabic. They had no connection, ethnic, linguistic or historical with Arabia or Arabs. The name "Falastin" that Arabs today use for "Palestine" is not an Arabic name. It is the Arab pronunciation of the Greco-Roman "Palastina"; which is derived from the Peleshet, (root Pelesh) which was a general term meaning "dividers", "penetrators" or "invaders". The use of the term "Palestinian" for an Arab ethnic group is a modern political creation which has no basis in fact - and had never had any international or academic credibility before 1967.
19. You Do Your Worst
Mike Bloom ,   Modiin, Israel   (02.16.06)
Many Muslims, have used tthe name of Mohammad as an excuse to commit some of the most terrible and violent crimes known to mankind. Hamas's agenda is to murder as many Jews as possible, and terrorise the Jewish people in Israel, as it has tried to do so many times. Israelis yearn for peace with their neighbours, but now the Palestininians have voted for a fanatic and murderous regime, full of such enormous hatred , Israel should take the advice of the great Winston Churchill, from his famous speech delivered 14th July 1941 "We ask no favours of the enemy. We seek from them no compunction. On the contrary, if tonight our people were asked to cast their vote whether a convention should be entered into to stop the bombing of cities, the overwhelming majority would cry, "No, we will mete out to them the measure, and more than the measure, that they have meted out to us." The people with one voice would say: "You have committed every crime under the sun. Where you have been the least resisted there you have been the most brutal. It was you who began the indiscriminate bombing. We will have no truce or parley with you, or the grisly gang who work your wicked will. You do your worst - and we will do our best."
20. To 11
Shai ,   Israel   (02.16.06)
Well, one of our worst creations was the Palestinians. If it weren't for us, you never would have existed as anything more than a rural backwater of Amman. Most of you would probably have immigrated to France or England by now. Face it. If your conflict were with anybody other than Jews, nobody'd give a damn about you because you have contributed nothing but disaster to the world. As far as your 1.2 billion followers, we Jews make up in quality what we lack in quantity. I wouldn't expect anybody who's religion steals our prophets (Moses, Abraham, Isaac, David, Samuel, etc.), who were Jews more than 2000 years before anybody thought to invent Islam, and suddenly Mohammed shows up and presto chango POOF, he turns them into fine Muslims and that's what they've suddenly always been. To give Jews credit for any of their many accomplishments is unspurprisingly difficult for you. You think it's unfair that after a couple hundred years here Jews come back after a couple thousand and you feel indignant. INDIGNANT? Well, what about displacing our entire religion with your newfangled one? Heck, maybe you have 1.2 billion followers because you're selling easy answers cheap, Mohammed? Maybe because it's so easy to mumble a few words and become a Muslim? Heck, even guys who are dead for a few millenia can become Muslim, so how hard can it be? But maybe the answers are hard to face, Mohammed, and that's why you Muslims achieve so little since Arabs invented Algebra - you don't face facts. You just go on and on with your stories about how your numbers prove something and rest on laurels that you had no part in making. What part did you play in making 1.2 billion Muslims, such that you have anything to brag about, Mohamed? Nothing. Your people are so completely delusional that you can't accept that this is a historically Jewish Land, you can't accept that the Temple stood on the place you call Haram al Sharif, you make up stories about you guys being descended from Philistines and Caananites based on mere shreds of evidence irrespective of the fact that most evidence suggests the opposite, you steal our prophets and then self-righteously blame us for stealing the recipe for felafel, and worse than that, you blame your sorry situation on everybody but yourselves. So not only can't you dish out credit to those who earn it, you can't dish out blame to those who earn it.
21. Lets wait for economic results...
hiram ,   tel aviv   (02.16.06)
Odds are against improvements of economic conditions under religious leadership....in the same fashion that Iran has been ruined in spite of being a rich country,Gaza will continue plunging into economic distress...untill the palestinian people take it on their own to clean it up......and kick out the zealots !
22. AND OUR MODEL WILL BE NAQBA
Naqba Naqsa ,   Israel   (02.16.06)
You're going down, chump.
23. #10 (Betsy) Islam = Quran (written law)+Sunnah(Oral law)
Miss Muslima ,   London England UK   (02.16.06)
Betsy, There are rewards for women. You went searching in the Quran but to understand the Quran you need the Sunnah (Hadith's). Quran = Word of God Sunnah(Hadith's) = Oral law. This is what the Prophet tells us the Quran means as revealed to him by God. If you read the Quran without understanding the history behind each verse you will misunderstand it's meanings, as some verses are confined (applicable to a certain situation) and others are absolute.
24. #15. on the subject of women...
Lou ,   Long Island   (02.16.06)
Speaking of women. Do you call honor killings a reward? A man rapes your sister and rather then deal with the rapist you kill your sister. And what about those genital mutilations on little girls in the name of Islam? You are brainwashed. Your Koran to which you preach makes sure of that.
25. Miss Muslima: Why do you only come to Jewish sites

29. #24: No honor killing in Islam
Yasir ,   US   (02.17.06)
There is no such thing in Islam, what happens in muslim countries happens due to traditions not due to teaching of the religion. Killing a woman in Islam is just as bad as killing a man. If you want to judge a religion based on what some retards are doing then go ahead, no one is going to stop you, but you know that you're not being fair. I can come up with a lot of "isolated" incidents happening in Israel by some Jews about how they treat their women but I know Judaism just as well as I know Islam that's why I don't blame it on Judaism, I blame it on misconception on these peoples part.
