2. Amen + Correct Situation
Rafi   (02.17.06)
So that the Russians, Iranians and others do not sell the PA terrorist weapons and transport them to Gaza, Israel must take back the Philadelphia Strip in Gaza. They enemy has said they want to remove Israel from the planet so simpley do not give them a chance to do it.
3. Now, will the guilty be called upon to answer for the deed?
AK   (02.17.06)
The cost of "disengagement " is huge and those responsible for it do not even begin to acept responsibility. Instead they treat the Israelis to Amona disgrace. Will israelis wake up in time?
4. Thank you for exposing the disengagement disaster
Lori LowenthalMarcus ,   Philadelphia, PA USA   (02.19.06)
It is amazing that people are still talking about why the disengagement was the right thing to do - Sherman pierces every argument they put forward. And yet people still need to believe in fairytales - it happened with Oslo, it happened with Arafat, it happened with Abbas, and now it's going to happen with Hamas. How long before the world - including Israel - starts celebrating the pathetic little crumbs of "reform" Hamas is prepared to offer up? Not very.
5. Stop oppressing the Palestinians!

6. oh the joys of disengagement
Hilda ,   USA   (02.19.06)
Did anyone except the new Kadima party believe that anything good would come of it? Are you satisfied now that it was a big mistake. Time to rectify it. No more disengagement No more give away without anything in return. No more promises no more making Israelis homeless to benefit Hams and the terrorists. Time to really safeguard Israelis but getting rid of the Arabs. No I don;t mean killing them. I mean deporting them and sending them to the Arab countries from whence they czme.
7. Gaza Pullout
Al Ramy ,   USA   (02.20.06)
The fact that no Israelis lost their lives inn Gaza since October 05 is more than sufficent reason to be out of that nasty strip of land. The cost of keeping 9000 settlers with their subsidized lifestyle, available mainly to the wealthy who live in Israel, was unsustainable. Nearly 10,000 soldiers protected less civilians at an unusual costs. The figures never added up. I attended several of the groundbreaking ceremonies in the 70's than, I thought that the Israeli political machine was totally off the wall. I never changed my mind. Gaza is not place for a Jew. Those who insist on going there, cannot expect the State of Israel to fight for them. Al Ramy, Los Angeles
8. Gaza as a test...
Jeffrey Levine ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (02.23.06)
I weote before that we (Jews) should use Gaza as a test bed for our decisions in the West Bank. Obvioulsy the test has failed miserably. Nothing positive, to Israel, has come from the disengagement. Therefore we should change our plan for the West Bank and instead of removing Jews, we need to remove the Arabs! Why don't we move the West Bank Arabs to the Gaza Strip. Then we annex the entire West Bak and start building cities and seeking settlers. Why should we Jews continue to put the needs of the "Palestinian" Arabs ahead of our own? The circumstances in Gaza can easily be extrapolated to the West Bank. We must admit that Gaza is a failure and not to be repeated in the West Bank. Jeffrey drexoert@comcast.net
9. major policy failure
moshe ,   jerusalem   (03.11.06)
Prof Sherman provides a brilliant analysis. Why Kadima hasn't learned the lessons is incredible. Is it ideological blindness or psychotic denial?
