61. Israel needs all the support we can get!!
Dr RJP ,   Florida, USA   (02.24.06)
Despite the fact that their support for Israel is not the same thing as support for Jews, we welcome it regardless of their past transgressions. Their love for Israel is genuine, and who else besides Jews feel that way? Yes, they do believe that all Jews need to be returned to Israel before Jesus comes back. As far as converting Jews, the majority do not feel that is the way to hasten the return of Jesus.

Better late than never - unity brings strength - wonder why this merging wasn't done sooner since we're now at the 13th hour - but am so happy to see it being done. Let it be effective support and comfort for our Jewish brethren.

Jews do not need the support of Christians. They only need to rely on their Elohim for protection. As far as Christians, however, it is their duty to help Israel in any way they can. For those who bless Israel are blessed and those who curse Israel are cursed. Shalom my Jewish brother

Michael ,   Dallas, America   (02.24.06)
Chris said America's religious right 'mutually hate' others. Chris then condemns me helping with Aids in Africa, or giving to a fund raisor for homosexuals with Aids? Or helping hispanics learn english, or repairing a home for the poor? So easily the sway of ignorance sweeps across a mind so foggy grey. Maybe he condemns my prayer for the peace of Israel? Maybe he condemns my Uncle helping poor in Haiti? Or my cousin in Ukraine? Talking points of rhetoric with no truth and of little value to the real conversation. They pull people apart and denounce any truth. Chris is being intolerant. Anyone who does not share his values are shunned and labeled as 'haters'. It's easy to pigeonhole people. Truth is evangelical leaders operate worldwide saving children lives, giving more medication, water, food, comfort, aid and shelter than any organization in the world. At no time do they ask 1) had an abortion? 2) homosexual? 3) believe in evolution? 4) believe our children have a right to hear about our leaders Judeo-Christian history and values? They never demanded Pakistani's convert, Indonesians accept Christ or that Nawlin's people repent of their sins. 285B dollars go thru charity anually in America, much of it from evangelical leaders organizations. To libel Evangelical groups without giving forth this truth shows ignorance or bias. Pro-life of a baby's right is not hatred of the mother. Christians believe in forgiveness and love. In fact, it is the very CORE of our beliefs. Pro-Marriage, Man/Woman means firm beliefs in God's Word. Christ followed the Father's teaching from Genesis in this issue - so too Evangelicals. Prior to accepting Christ, I hated many people for ignorant reasons and labeled people much like Chris. And I was very ignorant at the time. Past homosexuals lead groups like Exodus reaching out to those leaving the homosexuality lifestyle. Interestingly, vitriolic slurs are thrown at those leaving the abnormal lifestyle. Dare anyone say it was a mistake or a wrong decision in life and they are condemned unforgivingly by those still in it like they were 'betrayed'. Chris confuses teaching of believers who accepted the Tenach and the Gospel. He hears what he wants to hear and tosses precepts of the Love of Christ into the trash because they do not serve his political purpose. Evangelicals from my experience pray for Israel, for its peace because they believe in the Salvation of God and Christ taught Salvation if of the Jews. If this is wrong, then we should tell 35 million to help Iran? God has a purpose for all things, even you Chris. I pray you open your heart a little. We're not all haters like you say.
65. Support of Israel not unusual among Christians in US
TB ,   Knoxville, TN USA   (02.24.06)
I found the article interesting but not surprising. American evangelical Christians have been praying for Israel and God's Chosen for decades. We Christians intercede for Jews and the peace of Israel on a regular basis. I know of no single evangelical Christian who does not support Israel. I actually saw a bumper sticker the other day on a car that said "Real Christians Support Israel".
66. #46 - Religion as Science
Chris ,   Toronto   (02.24.06)
”Neither Creation nor Molecules-to-Man Evolution belong in a science classroom because neither of them is Science--observable, repeatable, measurable. The most they can claim to be is a historical account of unobserved, unrepeatable, unmeasurable events in history.” Wrong, Wrong, and Wrong. Here it is. This is exactly how extreme Christians have subverted the theory of evolution to the level of creationism. “Darwinian evolution is just a theory” is the common claim. They can’t tell the difference between a theory and Scientific Theory. A theory is, in common use, a hunch or an idea, a possible explanation for some observation. But the scientific definition of theory is "a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world that can incorporate facts, laws, inferences, and test hypotheses." A scientific theory is very strongly supported statement about the natural world that has survived all tests thus far. Science has many useful theories -- like Einstein's theory of relativity or the germ theory of infectious disease. These are accepted as true, because their predictions come true, but they don't have to be comprehensive or perfect. The recent discovery of mad cow disease, for example, overturned parts of germ theory, but not the core: Microbes can cause disease. The contention that evolution should be taught as a "theory, not as a fact" confuses the common use of these words with the scientific use. In science, theories do not turn into facts through the accumulation of evidence. Rather, theories are the end points of science. They are understandings that develop from extensive observation, experimentation, and creative reflection. They incorporate a large body of scientific facts, laws, tested hypotheses, and logical inferences. In this sense, evolution is one of the strongest and most useful scientific theories we have. In other words, for scientists "theory" and "fact" do not stand in opposition, but rather exist in a reciprocal relationship – for example, it is a "fact" that every apple ever dropped on earth (under normal, controlled conditions) has been observed to fall towards the center of the planet in a straight line, and the "theory" which explains these observations is the current theory of gravitation. In this same sense evolution is an observed fact and the modern synthesis is currently the most powerful theory explaining evolution. Many of the criticisms that creationists commonly direct against the theory of evolution reflect a misunderstanding of what evolution actually is. Evolution is basically defined as a change in the gene pool of a species over time. There are myriad examples of this phenomenon, such as bacteria that develop resistance to drugs or insects that develop resistance to pesticides over a short period of time. The emergence of new species has also been observed both in the laboratory and in nature, especially among fruit flies. And even if we did not have these direct observations, the theory of evolution has enabled us to make predictions regarding the fossils of species that have now disappeared, and in terms of both comparative anatomy and geographic distribution, these predictions have proven accurate in a multitude of cases.
67. #46 - Religion as Science cont’d
Chris ,   Toronto   (02.24.06)
Scientifically, Darwinian evolution is indeed a theory, but it's one of the best-documented theories in science. It could be disproved, but you would need strong evidence before most biologists would question the core: Organisms change over time in response to differential survival in their environment. In science, an observation that has been repeatedly confirmed and for all practical purposes is accepted as "true." Truth in science, however, is never final, and what is accepted as a fact today may be modified or even discarded tomorrow. Evolution is science, but "intelligent design," despite the claims of its advocates, is regarded as non-science by nearly all scientists. Intelligent design makes no scientifically useful predictions, and returns directly to its starting point: Life is complicated. ID amounts to throwing up your hands and saying that since evolution cannot explain the biological complexity, a supremely intelligent being must be responsible. The fact that you can even put them into the same category either speaks to your intellectual dishonesty or ignorance of scientific theory. I’m voting for the latter, based on the “incident in the Garden” comment. I suggest that you actually read academic materials or go back to high school biology, instead of reading Genesis as a replacement.

Is your skull so thick that you can't understand the many post here by christians that we the christians do not want Israel of Jerusalem. It belongs to G-d. He will designate the future of his land. Not you. Give thanks for what G-d has given back to the jews and don't fight the people who are willing and able to stand by you for your safety in the holy lands. We beleive that It is the will of G-d for us to stand by you in these troublesome times. Not that the jews have not had troublesome times for the past thousands of years but don't slap the hand that is reaching out to you in brotherly love with out motive as you want to believe. Would you slap your brother or sister or mother for lending you a hand of help because they love you when they see you hurting or in need . same with the christians, we are here to be along side you when you are in need. would your brother or sister or mother have a motive in helping you. No for they love you and want what is right a good for you. Same here . Why on G-ds green earth would we want Israel of Jerusalem????? only for the jews. G-d would not bless us if we had it he will only bless you his chosen in that land and that is how we want it to be. You are our brethern and we want to see G-d to continue too. bless you for it blesses us. I hope you get your thinking on straight for you are so wrong and I am sorry for you to be so mixed up. we are not the enemy...

If the shoe fits, jf.... Besides, did "I" call you unsaved, or did I not just simply quote the Bible?... ..besides jf... we all claassify each other... you call me and other believers crazy, amongst other quite venomous and intolerant names, and we call you and other unbelievers "unsaved", as the bible teaches... what was your point again? Regardless of your wishes jf, there is such thing as absolute truth. Right and wrong are black and white, there is no grey, whether you subscribe to moral relativism or not... My point was that if we (born-again believers) wish to support Israel and outrJewish brothers and sisters, against what seems to be unbelievale hostility from the whole world, what business is it of yours anyway, and why should you be offended? In fact, should I not be offended that you are offended? why does everyone these days take "offense" so quickly, and at seemingly every opportunity these days? Does your declared objection to our efforts imply then, that you in fact support the muslim terrorists around the world, and the muslim murder of innocents in the name of their god allah? The Bible stands alone in the world jf, and it has never been broken in over 2000 years, or weakened, or found wanting, etc...... there must be a reason for that... perhaps you jf, should open your mind and heart, and start asking serious questions of yourself, the world, and where you would "really" like to go in the end, and just exactly why, gosh-darn it, do all those hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of crazy 2000 year old and 3000 year old prophecies seem to be manifesting themselves at exactly this time in history, and all at the exact same time, and in the exact manner, to the most finite detail??? With love jf, and in Jesus' name, your friend.

we see each day. Look at what some write here. We believe in the G-d of Israel, and not in some Jesus Christ emotion Jesus was born a Jew and died a Jew - he was nothing else. The Christians put him on a pedestal to form their new religion some 300 years after the man died. It is amazing - since suddenly sooo many Christians we have never seen on Ynet before are rushing like e bee hive to the website When Ynet reports about Hamas and terrorism- we see only the few Christians a handful - that always comes here Odd - don't teach Jews/Israelis any lessons here. We don't need that. Respect Israel as a Sovereign State Support is not taking over - its is standing respectfully beside with your help. Decicions will be made by Israel and by Jews. Don't overpower as you do here

Gabrielle Goldwater ,   Geneva Switzerland   (02.24.06)
Joshua was just another man. A simple Jew - who died as a Jew There are many Christian websites that are more fitting for Christians to talk about Jesus than here. Respect Jews here. For us Jews: JESUS DID NOT FULFILL THE MESSIANIC PROPHECIES What is the Messiah supposed to accomplish? The Bible says that he will: A. Build the Third Temple (Ezekiel 37:26-28). B. Gather all Jews back to the Land of Israel (Isaiah 43:5-6). C. Usher in an era of world peace, and end all hatred, oppression, suffering and disease. As it says: "Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall man learn war anymore." (Isaiah 2:4) D. Spread universal knowledge of the God of Israel, which will unite humanity as one. As it says: "God will be King over all the world -- on that day, God will be One and His Name will be One" (Zechariah 14:9). The historical fact is that Jesus fulfilled none of these messianic prophecies. <<<<<< Christians counter that Jesus will fulfill these in the Second Coming, but Jewish sources show that the Messiah will fulfill the prophecies outright, and no concept of a second coming exists. JESUS DID NOT EMBODY THE PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS OF MESSIAH A. MESSIAH AS PROPHET Jesus was not a prophet. Prophecy can only exist in Israel when the land is inhabited by a majority of world Jewry. During the time of Ezra (circa 300 BCE), when the majority of Jews refused to move from Babylon to Israel, prophecy ended upon the death of the last prophets -- Haggai, Zechariah and Malachi. Jesus appeared on the scene approximately 350 years after prophecy had ended. B. DESCENDENT OF DAVID The Messiah must be descended on his father's side from King David (see Genesis 49:10 and Isaiah 11:1). According to the Christian claim that Jesus was the product of a virgin birth, he had no father -- and thus could not have possibly fulfilled the messianic requirement of being descended on his father's side from King David! C. TORAH OBSERVANCE The Messiah will lead the Jewish people to full Torah observance. The Torah states that all mitzvot remain binding forever, and anyone coming to change the Torah is immediately identified as a false prophet. (Deut. 13:1-4) Throughout the New Testament, Jesus contradicts the Torah and states that its commandments are no longer applicable. (see John 1:45 and 9:16, Acts 3:22 and 7:37) JEWISH BELIEF IS BASED SOLELY ON NATIONAL REVELATION Of the 15,000 religions in human history, only Judaism bases its belief on national revelation -- i.e. God speaking to the entire nation. If God is going to start a religion, it makes sense He'll tell everyone, not just one person. Judaism, unique among all of the world's major religions, does not rely on "claims of miracles" as the basis for its religion. In fact, the Bible says that God sometimes grants the power of "miracles" to charlatans, in order to test Jewish loyalty to the Torah (Deut. 13:4). Maimonides states (Foundations of Torah, ch. 8): The Jews did not believe in Moses, our teacher, because of the miracles he performed. Whenever anyone's belief is based on seeing miracles, he has lingering doubts, because it is possible the miracles were performed through magic or sorcery. All of the miracles performed by Moses in the desert were because they were necessary, and not as proof of his prophecy. What then was the basis of [Jewish] belief? The Revelation at Mount Sinai, which we saw with our own eyes and heard with our own ears, not dependent on the testimony of others... as it says, “Face to face, God spoke with you...” The Torah also states: “God did not make this covenant with our fathers, but with us -- who are all here alive today." (Deut. 5:3) Judaism is not miracles. It is the personal eyewitness experience of every man, woman and child, standing at Mount Sinai 3,300 years ago.
77. We respect your religion - RESPECT OURS - Judaism
Gabrielle Goldwater ,   Geneva Switzerland   (02.24.06)
CHRISTIANITY CONTRADICTS JEWISH THEOLOGY The following theological points apply primarily to the Roman Catholic Church, the largest Christian denomination, and the one most familiar to the Western world. A. GOD AS THREE? The Catholic idea of Trinity breaks God into three separate beings: The Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost (Matthew 28:19). Contrast this to the Shema, the basis of Jewish belief: "Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is ONE" (Deut. 6:4). Jews declare the Shema every day, while writing it on doorposts (Mezuzah), and binding it to the hand and head (Tefillin). This statement of God's One-ness is the first words a Jewish child is taught to say, and the last words uttered before a Jew dies. In Jewish law, worship of a three-part god is considered idolatry -- one of the three cardinal sins that a Jew should rather give up his life than transgress. This explains why during the Inquisitions and throughout history, Jews gave up their lives rather than convert. B. MAN AS GOD? Christians believe that God came down to earth in human form, as Jesus said: "I and the Father are one" (John 10:30). Maimonides devotes most of the "Guide for the Perplexed" to the fundamental idea that God is incorporeal, meaning that He assumes no physical form. God is Eternal, above time. He is Infinite, beyond space. He cannot be born, and cannot die. Saying that God assumes human form makes God small, diminishing both His unity and His divinity. As the Torah says: "God is not a mortal" (Numbers 23:19). Judaism says that the Messiah will be born of human parents, and possess normal physical attributes like other people. He will not be a demi-god, and will not possess supernatural qualities. In fact, an individual is alive in every generation with the capacity to step into the role of the Messiah. (see Maimonides - Laws of Kings 11:3) C. INTERMEDIARY FOR PRAYER? The Catholic belief is that prayer must be directed through an intermediary -- i.e. confessing one's sins to a priest. Jesus himself is an intermediary, as Jesus said: "No man cometh unto the Father but by me." In Judaism, prayer is a totally private matter, between each individual and God. As the Bible says: "God is near to all who call unto Him" (Psalms 145:18). Further, the Ten Commandments state: "You shall have no other gods BEFORE ME," meaning that it is forbidden to set up a mediator between God and man. (see Maimonides - Laws of Idolatry ch. 1) D. INVOLVEMENT IN THE PHYSICAL WORLD Catholic doctrine often treats the physical world as an evil to be avoided. Mary, the holiest woman, is portrayed as a virgin. Priests and nuns are celibate. And monasteries are in remote, secluded locations. By contrast, Judaism believes that God created the physical world not to frustrate us, but for our pleasure. Jewish spirituality comes through grappling with the mundane world in a way that uplifts and elevates. Intimacy in the proper context is one of the holiest acts we can perform. The Talmud says if a person has the opportunity to taste a new fruit and refuses to do so, he will have to account for that in the World to Come. Jewish rabbinical schools teach how to live amidst the bustle of commercial activity. Jews don't retreat from life, we elevate it.
78. Jews, Christians...both hated by the world
M J Dean ,   Tillamook OR USA   (02.24.06)
Wow, there's a lot of anger in the world, including here in these postings. Those who complain the loudest about Christians' "motives" can't understand our faith. I can't explain in a short post, but love comes from knowing the One who created us. The only way we can really KNOW Him is to read what He has to say to us!! Have you read any of the Jewish Books, or are you relying on what others have said "about" it? Worship three "gods?" No. As a Christian, I worship the One Who has revealed Himself through Scripture...not through traditions or what a priest, rabbi or TV evangelist might say. Even the word ELOHEIM, while One, reveals that He is more than One...it's plural. Messiah didn't fulfill Scripture? Again, you must READ what G-D has said! Messiah would come before the destruction of the Temple? YES! (Daniel 9:26) A messiah in every generation? No. (Where do you find that in Scripture?) He didn't rebuild the Temple? Finish reading the Books before you dismiss what Christians believe and why we believe it! There is only One Messiah but two comings. At the end of the time called the Day of Jacob's trouble, He will return and finally be accepted by His Jewish brethren. Messiah has two roles...the Suffering Servant (already fulfilled), the Coming King (at the end of the world-wide, soon-coming battle). His death (Isaiah 53, Psalm 22) was to atone for our sins--just as the Passover lambs saved our people from physical death and slavery in Egypt, the real Pascal Lamb saves us from eternal death (separation from G-D) and frees us from slavery to sin...we have eternal life! (The good news is, this Pascal Lamb, whose Name means G-D with us, has the power to rise again...and like Him, He will also raise us again.) But, just like our people of 3500 years ago, we have a choice...do we do as G-D has said and rely on His plan (3500 years ago, it was to put the blood on the doorposts of our homes, thus saving us from death...)? Or do we ignore the saving power in the lamb's shed blood? Please, before you respond in anger to my post, please ask the G-D of the Scriptures, the One who revealed Himself via Jewish writers who revealed the Jewish Messiah, to show you His truth as you read Isaiah 53. His Word also says that Jewish eyes and ears would be closed (Isaiah's message in many chapters!), but then they will open, and they will look upon Him whom they have pierced (Zechariah 12:10). Please, don't believe or disbelieve what I say without actually knowing what the Scriptures say--read what G-D has actually spoken, through the Prophets. Get a concordance and look up what you can't find...rely on Him to lead you, not that rabbi, priest or TV. My heart is aching for those who never care to read what G-D has actually said. Evangelical Christians are so often ridiculed by those simply don't know what they are talking about. I challenge you to read all of what G-D has said before you want to discuss the identity of the Messiah or who G-D is. The Torah is wonderful, but I challenge you to keep reading on through the Prophets...oh, it's useless, isn't it, to ask such a thing. May the Pascal Lamb someday become more than an ancient tradition to you. MJ
79. An interesting tangent we've taken
Jay ,   Boise   (02.24.06)
Is it only me or is it interesting to see that the topic of this article has basically been left behind and has diverged into a tangent where Christians are defending their positions and Jews are discrediting them, (see any post by Gabrielle). Does anyone else see this little thread of postings as a microcosm of the much larger stage of life? The Christian position has been well documented, and the Jewish position has equally been well defined. Is this not the same relationship that we have all read about in the Word, or in other words, does this not seem like a timeless, circular debate? What you see proof of in these posts is exactly what Jesus said would be. It is not a debate over who is right or wrong. Are Gabrielle and others wrong in their assertation? Not when you consider that the bible tells us that their sentiment is exactly the way it MUST be until God reveals Himself again (see Ezekiel 38-40). Can a leopard change its spots? No, and neither can the majority Jewish position or the Christian position be anything other than what they are until God makes it so. The Jews will undoubtedly not support this notion, but when you look at all the responses to this thread, it should encourage a Christian from the standpoint that it is validation of your faith in Christ. This microcosm of sentiment has been very well illustrated many times in the bible. But lest we ALL should forget, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose”. Jews and Christians alike love the same and ONLY God, we have more in common than we do differences. Instead of focusing on our differences we really should start focusing our attention on those madmen that run hamas, Syria, and that homicidal maniac in Iran. Sorry for rambling on!!

I've seen this type of thing before. Networked evangelicals attacking a site believing their overwhelming number of posts empower them to give wit(less)ness. One of these not only called me "unsaved" but insinuated that I was a "terrorist" since I abhor their methods. This just proves my point once again and in their own words; that if you are not one of them or distance yourself from them, then you are the enemy, or a terrorist. Imagine what horrific things they would be saying and doing if the focus was not on Wahhabism.

MJ Dean ,   Tillamook OR USA   (02.25.06)
Manny, your letter is sad. You probably haven't read ANY of the Scriptures. The Land doesn't belong to Christians...God gave it to the Jews...and that includes me, a believer in the Jewish Messiah, a believer with some of that Jewish blood. He's given you so much and you're probably not even aware of what all He has planned to give to you, simply for a little word, "Yes, I'll follow You." All He asks is for you to search Him out, turn around and follow Him...and how can you do that if you follow a rabbi...or no one? A Jew doesn't "convert." Discover the Jewish Messiah and you discover your Creator and Savior. Please, I challenge you to read the Book of Isaiah and discover Him there on the pages. Your ancestors are mine. Why can I or any Jew be a Buddhist, an atheist, agonistic, or "free thinker" and that is still "okay..." but for me to discover, on the pages of the Books of the Prophets, the Jewish Messiah, and that is somehow NOT okay? May you someday, also, become a "kook..." for the Creator of your very soul. I'm not after it...I just care about it, Manny...very, very much. The Messiah of Israel cares about it, too, even more. I also challenge you to find a Book of John, written by a Jew who lived 2000 years ago. Read it before you say I, or any other "kook," is after your soul. and yes, I offer friendship, simply because I genuinely love you. Those who call themselves Christian and don't love the Jews are simply not true believers. MJ

The Holy Lands belongs to neither the Jews or the Charismatic Christians. It belongs to God. He placed the jews in his land. They are his chosen and his brethern. YOu need to do your homework before you say the charismatics want the holy lands. remember we want be here to occupy it anyway. We are going to be raptured away...If you are going to state what we believe then be accurate. you are just guessing or repeating what you have heard. When christ returns at the rapture the christians will be taken away. that is christian jews or gentiles. He will return later with the saints and do battle with those that have come against Israel and the antichrist which the jews have excepted as their false messiah. Christ will set up his kingdom in jerusalem and rule from the Temple Mt. the jews will recognize him as the one they rejected as their messiah. Those that have survived the horrors of the anti-christ will fall down and worship him for at that time every knee will bow before him and realize that he is the messiah that is promise to the jews and gentiles . The only difference is we see it now and they will realize it later. Saving souls is Gods bussiness. He gives every man the freedom to choose whom he will serve. The choice is yours. we each answer for our own soul. We christians are not out here getting brownie points for winning souls. We rejoice when ones comes to him as he does but we don't do any arm twisting as you like to infer . You see we rejoice for that is just one more person that will not spend eternity in hell. We love our fellow man with the love of G-d. I know that is hard for a person to understand that has not walked that path and excepted the joys of serving and loving him. Serving G-d is such a blessed life that I can't imagine living with out him . I wouldn't want too. I am happy you are happy here on earth without him for you want be so in eternity. A life with out christ here on earth now means an eternity in hell. something to think about. The wonders of heaven are far beyond mans mere imagination. Eyes have not seen nor ears heard the wonders that he has prepared for those that chose to follow him. I understand that offering this information to you is for naught for you chose to serve yourself and you are your own god. You serve the god of this world. But now is the time of salvation and that offer will be with drawn one day and it will be to late to decide. I am happy to be a kook if that is what it takes to be a follower of christ. I do not wish to ever see one jew die. ever.. God will continue to deal with the jew as he has from the beginning. He will deal with his people and his throne on earth...I just suggest you know what you are talking about before you make accusations against christians. What do you call yourself? The day is coming soon when G-d will divide the sheep from the goats. where will you be standing? To the jews I would say we love you with as unconditional love. We don't want what G-d gave you. We want you to survive the enemy that surrounds you and we will stand and fight with you. one day there will not be a jew or a christian or this or that we will all be brothers in the kingdom of G-d If we chose to follow him.

Manny Gold , Brooklyn NY >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Manny, if these so-called Christians you say believe it's going to take the "rapture" for them to have possession of the Holy Land, and if you don't believe that the rapture is ever going to happen anyway, then it doesn't appear that you have anything to worry about where that's concerned, do you? So why get upset? :-) Manny, I don't know who has told you this, but as a "Charismatic Christian" myself, I can tell you that I don't believe those things nor do I know anyone else who does. Maybe there *are* people out there who believe that, but not anyone we've ever known or met. Many "Christians" lost their lives in WWII fighting a monster who was killing the Jews like animals. My own father spent more than two years over there, fighting in the U.S. Army. Not only was he not interested in "killing Jews", he was hoping to save their lives, and he risked his own to be a part of that effort. Christians within the Fourth Reich DIED due to protecting, hiding, and feeding Jews, and then being discovered. Yes, there were some horrible things done to the Jewish people in centuries past by people who called themselves "Christian"...but by their very actions against G-d's chosen people, they proved they were NOT Christians. They were "Christians" in name only, and I believe they will stand in judgement before G-d to answer for what they did to ALL of His children. Our hearts hurt for ALL of our Jewish brethren when they are persecuted and killed, just as we hurt as our Christian brothers go through the same thing. And we hurt for those who persecute and kill us for they are living without knowing the Love and Blessing of the Creator, the very One who made them and gave them life. And that's a horrible way to live. I leave you with the words of a song I wrote a year or so ago: Shalom, Yerushalayim, Shalom! May Shalom be within your walls. Shalom, Yerushalayim, Shalom! May Shalom be within your walls. May Shalom be within your government; May Shalom be within your homes. May Shalom be within your businesses, Shalom, Shalom, Shalom May Shalom be within your home, your family and your heart, Manny.

JF. In this string you have stated the following: 1- Do not be fooled by these Evangelicals. ==> implying we are liers and trying to trick people 2- They are as horrible as the wahhabi and as crazy ==> implying me are both murderers and "Crazy" 3- They are not real christians as in the sense of who Christ was. ==> stating that we are liars, cheats, frauds, fakes (because we don't change the Bible) 4- Not only do they really hate real jews, they hate most real christians ==> implying that we hate everyone, which is actually your stance 5- I've observed these people up close and I can tell you they believe that Jesus was a christian, jesus will come back and kill all non-christians, and jesus will build a christian church on the Holy Mount. ==> you are obviously unread - this is your own opinion of what we are, but completely incorrect 6- Have you noticed how they have flooded this site? Like a bunch of bees.......beware the sting ==> again with the derogatory attacks 7- P.S. some of them think jesus is american. some of them even think jesus lived in america for a while. ==> again, your own words in an effort to make us look simple, retarded, wackos, etc... 8- P.S.S Israel does not need people with mental health issues. ==> again with the unprovoked ad-hominim attacks on Christians 9- call the clinic, who left the doors unlocked at the 700 Club asylum? ==> again with teh implications that we have sub-normal intelligence, and beneath being allowed to hold an opinion 10- I've seen this type of thing before. ==> don't you mean that my questioning of your position (which you obviously didn't like), asked if you were an "insurgent", or "militant" or "freedom fighter"? Why did you jump to "terrorist", when you don't apply the same word to those muslims murdering Jews? AND wasn't it an absolutely unbelievably unacceptable thing I did by repeating a phrase from the bible which indicated you were unsaved? obviously this is going "over-the-line", despite your continuous ranting and venomous diatribes - you seemed to be extremely offended by being called "un-saved" - thats amusing. 11- Imagine what horrific things they would be saying and doing if the focus was not on Wahhabism. ==> you are implying that we shake due to islam, but would be more vocal if it were anything else.. unfotunately, you are only voicing your own fears, as Christians go to there death every day for the name of Jesus Christ - it would appear yto be your mainstream secular backbones who are instead, vocal against everything other than islam, and qieutly subdued with fear when it involves islam. This post was to discuss Chistrian support of Israel, unfortunately, I have seen your type once to often before, who take extreme pleasure in attacking and assualting any mention of Christianity for your own seemingly twisted pleasure and personal distaste... I would say it due to the fact they you are well aware of Gods existance, but refuse to answer to a higher power. We have posted tyo you in love, which you promptly respond with venom, spit, and irrational anger... yet again I say that I have only highlighted your own actions and words, which you would prefer to have kept in the dark... you twist everything said to you in some vain attempt to make it mean what you want it to mean... however, in my last hand out to you, I say that we love you, and pray for your soul jf.. May Jesus open your eyes my friend.

As racially discriminate as jr and Gabrielle are. Why should one U.S. christian die trying to help them.
87. HAGEE TEACHING DUAL COVENANT
G. Klein ,   USA   (02.26.06)
John Hagee, San Antonio, "preacher" teaches dual covenant theology" that is the Jew is saved through Old Testament Covenant." Don't believe it? Run a Google search on Hagee and dual covenant. BEWARE!! "christians" are paying to send Jews back to Israel to possible destruction-according to scripture. They do this to hasten the rapture. This is madness. Jews must first make aliyah (return to/immigration) to God first (be saved) then aliyah to the Word, and finally aliyah to the land (Israel). Same for any beliver--in that order. Christian and saved Jews must know if they return to Israel, they face certain dangers detailed in scripture. Hagee can't be doing any service to the unsaved Jew...except leading astray heading this new "loving Israel" "unbrella." Christians, you are grafted into the commonwealth of Israel (Ephesians 2:12). Therefore, you are Israel (not replacement theology--you've not replaced Israel), rather the believing remant that came out of Bablyon was the Israel. The nation of Israel---is the modern day state of Israel---who unless they are believers in Messiah Yeshua, they are not "Israel." Beward of Hagee's deception. Check it out on Google. G. Klein

Sorry to have to say this. But a self respecting Jew would never encourage other Jews to watch/join a christian group. You fail to understand or even learn of your own proud heritage. A year in Yeshiva in ISRAEL would make you think differently. Meantime. leave Jews alone to follow their G-d given faith.
89. G.Klein is correct
Jack ,   Canada   (02.26.06)
I have watched John Hagee for years. And while I generally like the man and feel he is truly interested in helping Israel, he does indeed preach two different (quite unbiblical) methods of salvation, one for the Born-Again believers and a separate and different one for the Jews. He is quite wrong, and I'm not sure where he gets this from... However, it shouldn't (in my eyes) detract from the good work he is trying to do with this umbrella group, as this is bigger than one man. Cheers.

jf ,   nashville   (02.26.06)
It's always sad to see one of you ranting but when obfuscation just degrades to rambling we become bored with you. P.S. Giving us the blessings of a heretic is about as insulting as would be pissing on the Pope to a Catholic. But then,of course, you meant to be...
