The basic style of the US military helmet today was taken from the Germans. And the German army is using the old style US helmet.

As being Dutch and Jewish (orthodox) I can honestly say that this helmet was only made to annoy and tease the Germans, is has nothing to do with us Jews!! The sentiment that exists in games between Holland and Germany (from a Dutch point of view) is still one of getting back at them because of what happened in the war. As an example: when Holland beat the Germans in the semi finals of the European Championship of 1988, one Dutch player wiped his ass with a T-shirt of the German national team! So this has nothing to do with anti Semitism and/or Muslims! I hope that us Dutch Jews (and off course the rest of the Dutch people) will see a victorious Holland this summer taking the World Championship for the first time (and sticking it to the Germans!)

The helmets will not be allowed within the soccer games, since they are hurting people because of the resemblence with the nazi helmet. I am Dutch and feel ashamed. This is holland at it's worst. Rude, harsh, untactfull, noisy, dumm, ignorant, naive, stiff, hard,always looking to make money, going with the flow whatever it me be coming from, and so on SAME HERE, SORRY .

I'd be more worried about your local swat team wearing those same style helmets!

Lighten up, this is obviously a micky take against the Germans and not meant to upset people, we're all aware how many Millions suffered. Any way the helmets don't have Nazi symbols and were used by the German military in WWI before their infamous association.
