Cinthya , I have been in Israel3 times in my life;one of them working in a kibutzz,for a couple of months, as a volunteer.My grandfather emigrated to Israel in 1950 and died there.My aunty is there and I have many other relatives in Israel.I myself intent to make an aliá as soon as possible. Well,all of these said,may I ask you something?Do you have a solution for Israel,or do you thing living in eternal hate and frightened,as you said,is the best way?Do you think this way we ,or the the Israelis,will get some where?Maybe a changing in our minds could be a solution.I am not saying it is a solution for sure,but what I know is that the way things and thoughts function up to now are not effective att all.I am suggesting adding love to our thoughts.Maybe love and generosity are a good way,even though people to whom we give it ,doest't deserve it.But ,who knows...they can change. Because the Israelis understand their enemy. Their eyes are wide open. They have experience making peace with enemies prepared to honor a peace agreement. This is not true with the Palestinians who allow terrorists to lead them in their Islamic crusade for the destruction of Israel. It's hard not to hate people who send homicide bombers to kill you while at the same time, not let hate overcome you. The Israelis I know do a remarkable job maintaining this balance. Israel has no choice other than to do what it takes to protect itself. The security fence is essential along with other pro-active security measures.
