31. Don't underestimate the enemies
Dotti ,   USA   (03.01.06)
They may come as capricious and unbalanced but they know what they want while the Jews don't. The Arabs want either the Jews dead or have the Jews working for the Arabs in a Mislim state serving the Arabs and making them prosper. Actually, that is what the Jews already do in Israel. They have created for the Arabs unparalleled educational opportunities, world-renowned medical centers where the Arabs are treated. welfare benefits, etc. etc. No wonder they use every possible loophole to snick into Israel rather than an Arab state.
32. Admission: there is no Palestinian Government
Steve ,   USA   (03.02.06)
B"H A government exists outside of the parties that are elected to it. Its commitments stand as representation for the whole. Here, I see that Abu Nasser is not wanting a state that has continuity, but rather a regime change where his group is in charge. This is anarchy and not a government. Quote: He said, "When we were in power, we were obliged to be more sensitive and more obedient to the instructions and policies of our leadership. Now that we lost the elections, why should we obey the leaders and just who do we obey? The Hamas?"
33. To Drew in Arizona re: Nahal
oleh hadash ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (03.02.06)
Drew - if you make aliyah in August you won't get into the IDF as early as November, Israeli bureacracy doesn't work like that. I will be going into Nahal in November. It's a hardcore infantry unit, so be sure it's what you want. If you haven't already, check out the www.mahal2000.com website for advice.
34. IF IDF DOESN'T CRUSH IT FAST-JEWSH HAMAS WILL-REMEMBER AMONA
WARNING YOU NOW   (03.02.06)
35. another orgy of hatred & destruction, accomplishing nothing
howard ,   pacific coast usa   (03.02.06)
The 2nd intifadah destroyed the Palestinian economy & political system and left the Pals hostages of regimes like Syria's. Before I-2: Barak offered 90% of the WB and all of Gaza, and a deal on Jerusalem, as his opening position. After I-2: Pals have lost nearly all of that. Before I-2: corrupt but growing economy, thousands of jobs in Israel, new projects getting started, Arab & other countries considering investments in real projects. After I-2: Pal economy is the basket case of the Middle East. HAMAS begging charity from brother Arabs & Muslims (LET them drain Iran's coffers).
36. New Intifdah
Maria ,   Ottawa, Ontario   (03.02.06)
Where there will be starving oppressed, colonized or otherwise hopeless people, there will be a revolution, an intifadha, russian, french, palestinian, haitian... The worse the economic conditions, the more likely they are to explode, historically, ie boxer rebellion
37. #36
Jane   (03.03.06)
The Jews were historically oppressed. We were never hopeless, even in the face of death, nor did we explode. We were poor, but we never rioted. We were killed, but we never became became like our killers. There is no justification for maniacal behavior. There are only maniacs.
