Moti ,   Ra anana   (03.05.06)
Hey, you should not get excited. Roger Waters is an outspoken enemy of the state of Israel. He is one of the first celebrities to take a stand against the fence. Boycott the concert and the man. http://www.waronwant.org/?lid=8424
2. #1 : Maybe but...
TC ,   Haifa   (03.05.06)
You should not mix politics and arts! As emphasized in this report, it will certainly be one of the greatest concert in the history of our country. So you can stay with your boycott stuff if you want but you will miss something huge for sure.
3. to boycott or not
dee ,   israel   (03.05.06)
you can boycott him if u want i wont ive been waiting for this opportunity for a long long time
4. RW is good, but Messiah Nah!
Michael U ,   SF,California   (03.05.06)
I have seen Pink Floyd and Roger Waters solo acts. While I personally believe Pink Floyd is a better act, I have respect for Roger Waters too. On the other hand, RW is percieved as a egotistical, opinionated, and left-wing character. I don't agree with his world view at all. He is obviously a socialist, one who has little trust in the government. I also feel the majority of RW music is very, very deep and depressing. Not like the Grateful Dead, a band which I have seen over 40 times in 10 years. Roger Waters, though good, is not the greatest rock band in the world. Since he is obviously anti-Israel, what is he doing going to Israel? I am afraid he is going to say or do something which is embarassing to the Jewish nation, and as a result I would support any boycot of his show. I agree with poster #2, you should not mix politics and arts, something which Roger Waters does every day... Michael U
5. Waters IS amazing
Digital Heretic   (03.06.06)
Agreed you can't mix politics and music...otherwise there wouldn't be many musicians I could listen to.
6. Guy Benyovitch...
Leo ,   Australia   (03.06.06)
...another fine example of an Israeli mashocist. The entire nation of Israel is just full of them. That aside - I've never read such hyperbole before. His music doesn't really stand out - certainly nothing to cry over. All this fanfare over nothing
7. Messiah Has a Great Sense of Humor...But Don't Mock Him
Craig Crawford ,   Laguna Niguel   (03.06.06)
The Bible warns God would be patient while the 'good news' of the Messiah spread around the world to the nations ('goyim') ... but then ... the Bible warns when Israel has been brought back into her Land (in unbelief) and when "the fullness of the Gentiles is complete" God will judge all those who mock His Holy Name and His Messiah (who was first sent forth to save lost sinners, both Jew and Gentile, as promised to Abraham) ... "Behold, the Lord [Jesus-Yeshua, the Messiah] comes with ten thousands [millions] of His saints, to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.’" (Jude 1:14-15)       "Thus says the LORD of hosts:         Behold, disaster shall go forth from nation to nation ... And at that day the slain of the LORD shall be from one end of the Earth         even to the other end of the Earth . . ." [Nobody will escape God's wrath after the Rapture] (Jer 25:27-38) "The Son of Man [Jesus-Yeshua] will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness [sin], and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth." (Matt 13:41-42) "So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come forth, separate the wicked from among the just, and cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth." (Matt 13:49-50 ... This is Jesus, the Messiah, Himself speaking in these last two verses!!!) Jesus-Yeshua, the Messiah warns,   "You are either with me or against me." [There is no 'in between.'] (Matt 12:30) "It is appointed for men to die once, but AFTER this the judgement." (Hebrews: 9:27) Grace and Shalom, www.theprophecies.com www.alphanewsdaily.com
8. Spare us the Jesus cr*p
Michael U ,   SF,CA,USA   (03.06.06)
Craig, The Moshiach is not Jesus. Was never, and will never be. It is easy for xtians to misread and mistranslate psalms. But the fact of the matter is the Moshiach was not Jesus {at least not to those who believe in the Lord, creator of the universe}. Ask any rabbi, any knowledgeable Jew... The moshiach is coming, prepare for the messianic age... Michael U
9. Prophecise of Messiah ... and of you ... to #9
Craig Crawford ,   Laguna Niguel USA   (03.07.06)
You are fulfilling Ezekiel 36:17-23. You should study the prophecies of the Messiah. Here are just a FEW of the prophecies FROM THE TANAKH ... "Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel" (Isaiah 7:14) [Immanuel means "God is with us"] (Note: The Hebrew word used can be translated both 'virgin' and 'young maiden' ... however, when the 72 Jewish priests translated the word into Greek for the 'Septuagint' around 270 BC they used the Greek word which can only mean 'virgin' ... for in Greek there is a different word for 'young maiden.' Messiah would be born in Bethlehem . . . After stepping forth from Eternity ("from old, from everlasting") "But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are little among the thousands of Judah, Yet out of you shall come forth to Me The One to be ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting." (The Bible warns here Messiah would step forth from Eternity.) (Micah 5:2) The Messiah would ride triumphantly into Jerusalem . . . riding on a donkey "Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion [Israel]! Behold, your King [Messiah] is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, yet He is lowly and riding on a donkey." (Zechariah 9:9) The Messiah would be despised by the world and rejected by Israel (and by you) ... "The Redeemer of Israel, their Holy One, To Him whom man (the world) despises, To Him whom the nation (Israel) abhors." (Isaiah 49:7) (You are fulfilling this prophecy) He would be Crucified . . . "My God, My God, why have You forsaken me?" (Psalm 22:1 . . . also see Matt 27:46) Note: With these words from the Cross, Jesus-Yeshua was pointing the Jewish leaders to Psalm 22. The Jewish leaders who were gathered around the Cross knew the Scriptures well. Psalm 22 is a detailed prophecy foretelling the death of the Messiah on the Cross. The Messiah would be quickly Resurrected (raised from the dead) . . . "For You will not leave my soul in Sheol [Hell], Nor will You allow Your Holy One [the Messiah] to see corruption [decompose]." (Ps 16:10) The Jewish Messiah [Christ] would be a savior to all peoples, including Jews and non-Jews alike . . . thus fulfilling the Abrahamic Covenant "I will also give You as a light to the Gentiles, That You should be My salvation [saving people from Hell] to the ends of the Earth." (Isaiah 49:6) And here, Messiah held the Jewish people responsible FOR NOT KNOWING THE PROPHECIES. This is why the Temple was destroyed and the people were scattered and dispersed around the world . . . Jesus-Yeshua, the Messiah, reveals this prophecy and then tells Israel WHY . . . "Now as He [Jesus] drew near, He saw the city [Jerusalem] and wept over it, saying, ‘If you had known, even you [the children of Israel], especially in this your day, [this day Daniel prophesied about] the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. For days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side, and level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and they will not leave in you [the Temple] one stone upon another, because you did not know the time of your visitation.’" (Luke 19:41-44) Thus, 38 years after Jesus-Yeshua was crucified, Jerusalem was brutally destroyed when Titus Vespasian with the Roman Legions DID build a siege wall around the city and tore down the Temple, stone by stone, EXACTLY as Jesus had prophesied ... Now, are those rabbis you speak of the ones who say God approves of abortion and homosexuality, and that He is 'happy' the Jews in Gaza have been forsaken? (See Zeph 2:1-7) www.alphanewsdaily.com www.theprophecies.com
10. #9 just proved my point
Michael U ,   SF,CA,USA   (03.07.06)
Craig, You just proved my point. You and your ministers have so obviously misinterpreted the prophecies... Come on... You even point out how the word virgin is a mistranslation of 'young girl'.... According to Torah there is no need for someone to sacrifice himself for the sins of others... Where from within Jewish belief does this come from? Not from judaism but from Pagan religions. Also, nowehere is it written that the Moshiach who will bring peace to the world will be a demigod like your Jesus... Nowhere is it written that Moshiach is going to die for the sins of people and come back. It is most certainly written that Moshiach will usher in an era of peace and prosperity being the messianic era. Jesus did not do this, and your religions insistance on Jesus as Moshiach is most certainly mistaken. We are not denying the coming of Moshiach, we are denying that Jesus was the Moshiach prophecied in the Torah. Simple as that. Jesus was not, nor will he ever be messiah. When someone who accomplishes the goals of Moshiach arrives, we the righteous and pious will most certainly recognize his arrival and run to greet him. there is no reason to deny if the moshiach comes, but to fool yourself into believing he came 2000 years ago and look around and see that the prophecies have not been fufilled, I will never believe that Jesus was moshiach, nor do I believe he was divine, nor do I believe he acted properly. So much for that...

16. What do you feel when U listen 2 waters?
Marc   (05.16.06)
Music like PF's feeds your soul, religion, messiahs, politics, feeds ON your soul, that's why we should go & feed, cause who really cares (apart from music historians or those for whom arguing is more fun than listening together to music) today what RW thinks, that Ben Gurion didn't like the Beatles or that Madonna does Kaballah. Just dig the music or not, Let's stay with the essence of it: the vibes.
17. Broadcast on TV?
Mimi ,   Ramat Gan   (06.22.06)
Is the show to be seen on TV in Israel? (Shame on the political Roger Waters, he is much too ignorant and a fool!)
