1. The love us after they murder us
Avi ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (03.14.06)
We have been on a number of tours to similar places with Jewish Historical Seminars, including a wonderful 10 days in Southern and Central Spain. What gets up my nose is that fact that only after they have defamed, murdered and expelled us, they want us to return as honoured, paying guests. In Eastern Europe the blood is hardly dry and the relatives of the murdered are still alive. There, the locals organize Yiddish theatre and klezmer bands, without Jews. It's sick. One other talkback point is that the total destruction of the Jewish Communities in Spain, especially Barcelona in 1391 (1492 was the expulsion, the end began 100 years earlier) was preceded by many years of sustained delgitimisation of the Jews by the Church, the aristocracy, as well as many turncoat, apostate Jews. When I listen today to all the do-gooding Jews who want to out do the Arabs and other Anti Zionists with their hatred and venom of anything to do with Israel, I can see a close historical parallel. Vicious self criticism (of someone else), especially if you are Jew, is a sure fire entry ticket to the "chattering classes". This does not absolve us who live in Israel of criticism, but those who question our very "right of existence" are treading a well worn historical path. Only this time, we, the Jews, the downtrodden, have decided to take our own destiny our hands. The whole point about national self determination is that you take it. It is not bestowed on you by a bunch of impotent academic do gooders with the historical perspective of a second hand car salesman.

4. About jewish involing in Catalonia
Rubèn ,   Barcelona, Catalonia   (03.15.06)
The legend of Catalonia foundation is full of jewish involving: the legend of Otger Cataló and The Nine Barons. The Templars Orde was founded by a Catalan from Castellar de N'Hug (Castle of Hug): Hug de Pinos (french ones try to steal catalanity of Hug de Pinos and say that was Hug de Pyrens -absolutely false and no documents thatn prove it as in catalan option -documented-). Also the jewish payed the expedition to America in XIV century (before Columbus -also jew- (highly documented but silenced by Spaniard oficial history because they don't study the Iberian Peninsula objectively, they part on the premise "Unity Of Spain First" (that it means to be in wrong and imposing castilian way of life and language to other nations and regions in the Peninsule, and parting about this they build his own history trying to justify such unity ignoring and dening historial facts unquestionables that destroy "its official -but false- History. Don't you remember anything this? -the denial of historical facts-?

There are Jews everywhere because for almost 2000 years we were denied our home. You morons would like to perpetuate that tradition, but we have no intention of leaving this time. Choke on it!
8. Spain reviving Jewish past
enzo ,   london,uk   (03.16.06)
Everybody keeps identifying Sephardic Jews with the Jews of the Iberian peninsula! Well, I have had enough of this. Everybody seems to ignore that the largest island in the Mediterranean, i.e. Sicily, was, in those days, part of the Spanish Empire. The Jewish community in the island was one of the largest and happiest and oldest in the world. 200.000 Jews were expelled in those tragic days from Messina and Palermo harbours (beginning of 1493). After 500 years, you can still find hundreds of families, with their Jewish names, in villages all over Southern Calabria. Please, please remember the Sicilian Jews from time to time.

I didnt know such a community existed...and certainly not such a large number of our people.Jews have always suffered one way or another in Europe. It seems that the terror is always with us, only the perpetrators change! Even the Jews of Rhodes Island in the 1940's were murdered.Thats another Med Island.
