Just as wearing certain types of clothing doesn't make one observant, neither do the actions of a small minority being drunk on Purim give anyone a justification to smear all observant Jews. Not all observant Jews are freeloaders as some would like to believe - most us work, support our families, and support institutions in Israel that help all Jews.
