1. Will it provide a blinking light...
Curious Female ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (03.23.06)
...or other warning if a woman in Nida touched it previously?
2. Good for business
Barry ,   Tel Aviv   (03.23.06)
This is another wonderful example of corporate bodies trying to increase their business by adapting to more markets. Finally, Israeli businesses are waking up to successful American practices. Of course, there will be the anti-religious respondants who will claim that these companies are succumbing to religious coersion. I say in advance - go soak your heads,
3. What? No phone sex?
Avi Tuchmayer ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (03.23.06)
If they block haredi men from having phone sex, they won't have any business. Just watch - the Haredim will continue to use Bezeq so they can utilise porno phone services to their hearts desire. Just like they all have TVs hidden behind the book cases, computers hiding behind the bed, and so many of them visit prostitutes on a regular basis. Its all part of the same phenomenon
4. Good for them..
Ilan ,   Ariel   (03.23.06)
It seems that every advance in technology is seized by those berefit of all moral constraints to sell porn, lure children into abuse, and hock a worthless materialistic culture. If consumers can band together to protect their interests more power to them.
5.  Hey Avi!
Daniel   (03.23.06)
. You are the only one laughing. Do the world a favor and shoot your keyboard. Before you go out shooting off your mouth with irresponsible accusations, do some real research and find out what the issues really are. Your hatred for Charadim is true example of all that has gone wrong with this Country. The rest of the world hating us is enough, so give up your Jew hating!
6. Bigger market than anticipated?
Nathan ,   Netanya   (03.23.06)
I'm hardly haredi, but I'd buy this. Seems like a good way to protect my children inside the home.
7. Great Idea!

jason white ,   afula,israel   (03.23.06)
Daniel you made a mistake. Avi does not hate Jews. Since when have hara-dim become Jews? They go to brothels in a larger percentage than others in our society. They look at porn. I know of hara-dim that have shiksha mistresses. What about that? That is not even to mention drugs, stealing and draft-dodging.
9. to jason
Ezra ,   Canada   (03.24.06)
Ypour question : "Since when have hara-dim become Jews? " My answer : since matan Torah more than 3.000 thousand years ago My question : When did you begin hating your own people and talking like an antisemite?

Is that why they dress like polish noblemen of 300 years ago? I do not hate my people, but I am sick and tired of these hara-dim. I do not like the fact that they refuse to fly the flag of Israel at their institutions. I do not like the fact that they refuse to oberve a minute of silence for the Holocaust. The same for fallen soldiers. I do not want to listen to them call female soldiers "whores". I do not like the fact that my son and daughter served in the army and their spawn did not! I love Jews and served in the I.D.F. till age fifty. I still volunteer for the civil guard. I love JEWS,but not hara-dim. They are far from the religion. Many have become worshippers of their own rebbes and not HaShem! I care what the Torah says and not some rebbe. Since I do not think they are Jews and they do not think the rest of us are Jews. How can I hate my own people?
11. "ultra-Orthodox population."
Linda   (03.25.06)
You mean mostly men! Do men (sorry 'population') need blocks like kids to control themselves? C'mon, is did not insulting that the 'population' needs special phone, blocks en Burke's etc to control yourself? Populations who are not used to live with normal relations between men and woman like in ultra-orthodox Judaism or like in Islam get and produce frustrated people which will lead to extreme behavior or worse. G_d gave us choice between good and evil and I think that putting blocks and veils between us does not let us make the choice but let others do that for you and I think that is evil also. Let every person be free to make his/her own path in life and I think G_d will appreciate that more than be a sheep of rabbi's or mullahs
12. To # 3 - with disgust
Reuven ,   Ramat Gan   (03.26.06)
How does Avi Tuchmayer know that Hareidi men have TV's hidden behind a book case. Has he seen such an example? How does he know Hareidi men have computers behind their beds. Has he seen such a set up? How does he know Hareidi men visit prostitures on a regular basis. Has he seen them there when he has been using their services? One must assume that Avi Tuchmayer is Haredi himself to have seen all this phenomena, or is he just a rather ignorant, bigoted non-religious individual who thinks that everybody conforms to his standard of behavior.
13. Kosher Mobile phones
Arlene ,   Israel   (03.26.06)
Well said number 10
14. Right on #10
Dan ,   R"G, Israel   (03.26.06)
I also think that the Charidim are highjacking my religion. I will give an example. On Friday one is supposed to prepare for the Sabbath, I do not understand how I can see "religious" (by their uniform) drivers going over 140 kph, and if there is a slow-down they pass on the sholder, at a time that is after what the newspaper and Jerusalem City's clock claims is the beginning of the Sabbath. Preparing for the sabbath means -to me- to get in the mood, and if you are weaving between cars on Route 1, you are not getting in the mood, but racing the sun. Can these drivers actual "get in the mood' to greet the bride, by racing until the last minute. By the way, the way they drive to beat the Sabbath is also dangerous to human life.
