1. Fatah conflicted over terror?
Riv ,   Israel   (03.31.06)
Please. Fatah has incubated, insulated and harbored terror. When someone points to facts otherwise, the lead statement in this article is false and proves to whitewash the actual truth. In reality more Jews have been slaughtered by the military wing of Fatah, Al-aqsa then Hamas and Islamic Jihad all put together. The orchestration of such evil was done under the nose of Fatah and without their cooperation terror could not take place. Truth is they are all one in the same for their leaders have proven by doing nothing to stop terror that they themselves are terrorists. Fatah/al-asqsa stays off the list of terror organizations simply because then there could not be talk of a Palestinian state, idiotic lying road map and lying quartet for peace....so-called humanitarian aid. They stay off the list of terror organizations solely to appease the Arab street and their terrorist hugging dictatorial leaders.
2. yeah fatah, keep doing like that... but
Gil & Gadi ,   Special Unit, IDF   (03.31.06)
we won't be the ones to suffer. your families will lose their homes, you will learn what "hell" realy means and how it looks like. you will think the sky is falling down and you will crouch under rocks like rats and we will crush you with our feets because of your terror acts. you are attacking, we are defending. you lose. everytime. my garantee.

4. Collectively responsible
Hiram ,   Tel Aviv   (03.31.06)
Regardless of which gang is behind what attack, one thing remains visible : the unwillingness of the "new" prime minister of " Palestine" to curb terrorists. Nothing new there ! Short of curbing the terrorists calling themselves " freedom fighters" Mr Hanniyeh opens the door for IDF to take action, whilst the rest of the nation ( Including arab nations ) are simply watching . I have not seen so many protests from so called members of the "arab unity". More than ever, Palestine remains a Palestino-Palestinian problem. Unilateral disengagement would deprive terrorist like Mollah Hanniyeh of their bread and butter ( hatred of the Jews and their economic success) Should the disengagement continue, this would force Palestinian authorities to focus on domestic issues....far more important which , if not taken care of, would become a real timebomb. However it would also help showing the world what kind of " prime Minister" the terror masterminder Haniyeh really is !
5. What a joke !
Hiram ,   tel aviv   (03.31.06)
Looks like Palestinian terrorist find IDF not efficient enough, so they take to their guns to see who will become the Godfather ! So predictable ! Si childish ! So feudal !and the world is watching...and laughs .... A shootout erupted between rival Palestinian factions Friday shortly after a top commander from a terrorist group was killed in a mysterious explosion, wounding at least two people, witnesses said. The clashes were between members of the Popular Resistance Committees, a tiny violent group, and members of the large Fatah movement. A spokesman for the resistance committees accused the Fatah-dominated Preventive Security Service of starting the clash. (AP)
6. is there anything good about the arabs?
Betsy   (03.31.06)
can anyone tell me something good, something redeeming, about palestinians? some worthy contribution to humankind...or something, anything, even, "I know a palestinian and he/she is a terrific person, honest, upright"? surely there is something? I believe that if left to themselves they would destroy each other. they have the Jews to hate and that probably saves them. without some external nation to hate, they'd wipe themselves out. I understand why they need the brutal leaders who typically rule them. It doesn't look as though they respond very well to being treated with respect and kindness.
7. Hiram, why should they stop the terror if it works?

mike ,   usa   (03.31.06)
and in the end the palestinians will be the ones who pay the higher price, as they always do.
11. Is there anything good about the Arabs?
Rachel ,   Heart of the Valley   (03.31.06)
Betsy, I hope that is a rhetorical and not a serious question. Of course there are honest, upright, and terrific Palestinians, just as there are in any group of people (witness the parents whose child was shot, in error, by IDF soldiers and who donated his organs; an Israeli was among the beneficiaries). Any of us who refrains from hating and blaming and chooses to is capable of contributing to humankind. Their society is sick, as was German society under Hitler and Russian society under Stalin, but both societies made major contributions to the world prior to that time. As did the Arabs during their Golden Age in the past. You can be sure those who prefer peace and tolerance to hatred are too intimidated to speak up, just as the good Germans and Russians were. It is very sad.
12. #8 And what can you do?
(03.31.06)
Honour killings, religious fanatism, suicide bombers, murder of defenseless civilians, dictatorship, corruption, all this inspite of the fact "Palestine" gets nearly 7 billion $ in aid each year, through various branches and has a clear golden path paved for its independence, but you Arabs will probably never change.
13. Some conflict!
Jonathan and Mollie ,   Pennsylvania   (04.01.06)
The only conflicts among the groups that make up Fatah are tactical. The difference is only between when and where to blow up Israelis, not whether Israelis should be blown up. There is no conflict over breaking agreements or the ultimate aim of killing innocent Jewsand destroying Israel. Its sort of like the disagreement that Hitler's generals had over where the Allied invasion would occur--at Calais or Normandy or what was the most effective way to kill the most Jews in the least amount of time.
14. Betsy, and decency
Sam ,   Alquds, Palestine   (04.01.06)
Well Betsy, I thought a lot of the last sentence in your "input" here, and I figured out you must have meant the Israeli way of treating the Palestinians, since you were asking about anything good about the Palestinians. I guess killing people in their villages, raping their wives and then driving them out of their land (1.2 Millions of them) in 1948 is the most kind, decent thing to do. I guess also that occupying the rest of the land in 1967, and adding more hundreds of thousands of people to the list of refugees goes also under the title "kind and decent behaviour". Putting people behind a 12 meter wall is another show of decency, and depriving them of their rights is the best show of kindness. Should I go further???

18. Sam Form "Palestine"
DR ,   Florida, USA   (04.05.06)
Your rants are all the same, but you still deny the facts and realities of your troubled culture. It is you, the Palestinians, that teach your children to kill and die in the name of Allah? Am I wrong? It is you who fire rockets into neighborhoods and schools, am I wrong? It is you who voted for a terror group to lead your people and Hamas has stated over and over again that it wants to destroy Israel and rid the Middle East of all Jews, Am I wrong? But yet you expect Israel to show restraint and be kind to your savage leaders and terrorists...get real! Israel will do whatever it has to to survive. It is surrounded by fanatic regimes that want to destroy it. Keep whining thoug, maybe some fools will buy your bullshit. The rest of us will ive in the REAL world where people can tell the difference between right and wrong.
