1. What are they fighting for?
Shai ,   Israel   (04.07.06)
They don't want to live in a Jewish democratic state, which contrary to their view of what democracy is, the majority decided we want to be. On the contrary, it's not democratic to evade our desire to be such, simply to appease those who want a bi-national state. It's what we want, and just like Iraq is entitled to devise a democracy that meets their needs, and Palestinians one that meets theirs, we are entitled to do so for a Jewish democratic state. Nobody says everybody has to be a democracy the same exact way America is. THe bi-national state is two states, one arab and the other Jewish, side by side living in peace. Are they fighting to keep their social security payments? Makes one wonder, because this proposal of Liberman's should be a blessing for them. They'd retain their rights to work here, yet they can be governed by their own in accordance with their own values. They'd pay taxes (or not, because the Arab cities are notorious for not paying taxes, especially municipal taxes, which is why the level of services there is lower than cities where they do pay) and reap what they sow. Contrary to what Rajah Agbaria said, "neither Lieberman nor the Labor party or Olmert will be able to remove us from our homeland", this is not about moving anybody, just changing the boundary so that they can be ruled by Arabs and not by us. Arab MK's have proven in every Knesset from day one that they reject the idea of a Jewish state, and they've repeated it again in this article. They should just admit the facts and move on. Now that the % of Arabs voting for parties with this stance is increasing, what better time is there to give them what they want?
2. not to wory your homicidal Hamite mind
Ben Temalion ,   Shiloh, MO USA   (04.07.06)
leibeman, landau, sharanky will love to cede Jewish land to homicidal hamites.
3. threats
peter ,   amsterdam, NL   (04.07.06)
[quote]According to Agbaria, the solution lies in establishing "one, bi-national country for Jews and Arabs. That will solve[sic!] the Lieberman problem." "We're not packing. Lieberman will be packing and returning to Russia," Agbaria added. "We know the end of all those who backed a transfer (of Arabs.) We know the end of Zeevi, and it's not that I'm a fortune teller."[unquote] I dislike Avigdor Lieberman but people like Rajah Agbara I loathe.
4. lieberman hates Jews
Ben Temalion ,   Shiloh, MO USA   (04.07.06)
as if one who negotitiate the land is a Jew. WE now have you Jew haters who would cede the land sewn with Jewish blood
5. According to the law Hadash shouldnt be allowed to run
Caligula's Horse ,   Solomon's Stables   (04.07.06)
The laws of Israel specificly say that Israel is a JEWISH Democracy and that any party who wants to remove the Jewish part of it or the Democratic part should be disqualified! I'm filing a complaint to Bagatz.
6. Lieberman, a Danger to Arab – Jewish Harmony
Shimon Z. Klein ,   Bat Chefer, Israel   (04.07.06)
It would be a very sad day for democracy in Israel if Avigdor Lieberman’s Yisrael Beiteinu Party were accepted into the coalition. It seems as if Kadima is trying to form a coalition at all costs. If this extreme right wing party does join the coalition it will have to modify its manifesto on transfer in order to become acceptable to all the coalition partners. If not, it would be a sad day for Israel when the ideas of transfer of Arabs become legitimate by Labor remaining in the coalition.
7. Islamofascists
Ronnie ,   Israel   (04.07.06)
The threat to end Liberman like Zeevi should be taken seriously.
8. I just read of a death threat!!!!!
(04.07.06)
Where is the justice and democracy in that?
9. ARAB MK Bishara called SEVERAL TIMES for INTIFADA
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (04.07.06)
AGAINST ISRAEL. The rabid Jew-hate of ethnically cleansing 10,000 Gaza and north Samaria Jews violated Article 80 of the United Nations Charter, broke Israel's Basic Human Rights Law and Clause 9 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Loyal Jews, including children, are brutally beaten and jailed. Jewish taxpayers who pay Arab MK Bishara's salary are FORCED TO FINANCE TREASON! Arab Israelis who are openly genocidal to Jews and support the violent overthrow of Israel are members of Israel's government! No other nation on earth allows such treason. Will Jews revolt against their forced financing of treason and Arab MK hate incitement to a second holocaust of Jews? From article on the violent Arab Muslim Israeli riots in 2000 'Let's investigate everything' by Yaron London, 10/2/05 http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3150205,00.html The report offers a history of Arab demonstrations and protests that over time have become evermore extreme. The report also mentions several individuals that contributed, through words and through silence, to the progression from legitimate protest into a violent, destructive riot. Leaders of the Islamic Movement, wrote the Or Commission, fanned the flames by accusing Israel of planning to destroy the Islamic holy sites on the Temple Mount, and openly sympathizing with Hizbullah and al-Qaeda. MK Azmi Bishara (National Democratic Assembly) has said the Shiite militia should be a role model for the struggle with Israel, and has called several times for an intifada against Israel. Arab-Israeli leaders should be investigated The Or Commission- including one Arab justice and another member considered an important expert in Arab culture - rejected Bishara's evasive comments, and had this to say about the part Israeli Arab leaders played in the October, 2000 riots: Individuals such as the leaders of the Supreme Israeli Arab Monitoring Committee, the Islamic Movement, and Knesset Members Tibi, Bishara, Dehamshe and Zahalka were full partners to the outbreak of riots in October, 2000, and therefore also bear responsibility for the deaths of 13 of their brethren." The following is part of an article from jerusalempost.com, Sept. 25 2005 'Column One: Israel's disengaged establishment' by Caroline Glick: "...recall what happened five years ago. Following months of increased violence and extremism in the Arab-Israeli sector incited directly by the Palestinian Authority, the Israeli Islamic Movement and the Arab members of Knesset, violent riots seized the Arab sector of Israel in October 2000. During the week of riots, Arab Israelis threw rocks and Molotov cocktails at Israeli civilian cars throughout the country. Israeli motorists were dragged out of their cars on Highway 65 along Wadi Ara and beaten. An Israeli motorist was murdered when Arabs from Jasser a-Zarka threw a rock at his windshield as he drove down the coastal highway..."
10. Place a 24 hour GUARD around Lieberman
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (04.07.06)
He must not be murdered by the Arabs as Zeevi was. Islamo-Fascists are not satisfied with half of Israel that appeasing, suicidal Israelis want to give Israel's implacable enemies. Islamo-Fascists are using diplomacy and violence for the Islamic conquest of all Israel.
11. GO LIBERMAN!! OUT WITH THE ARABS!!
(04.07.06)
12. To 6
Shai ,   Israel   (04.07.06)
The harmony you speak of won't happen. We've waited 60 years for it. We wrote it into the Declaration of Independence. It's time to recognize that if we're going to be neighbors, "harmony" is best served if it's to be had at all by them ruling themselves, us ruling ourselves.
13. Sign an oath of loyalty
Chaya ,   Bat Yam   (04.07.06)
If not, their citizenship should be revoked - that goes for Haridim as well.
14. #6 - transfer of arabs
Yossi ,   Canada   (04.07.06)
Every time transferring arabs out of Israel is approached, there is a mass outcry of what? Why are we under this illusion that the transfer of arabs is unacceptable. Jews have been transferred out of 20 of 22 arab countries. But that was OK.. Jews have been transferred out of most European countries. But that was OK. It seems that Israel must play by a different set of rules than the rest of the world. To hell with that. The arabs will never let us live in peace. Israel won the wars - ALL OF THEM. It is way past time that we reap the rewards of victory. It is time Israel DEMANDS surrender from the defeated. No compromise - from now on Isael must dictate real terms. Victor to defeated.
15. 13 showing stupidity far all of us to witness...
(04.07.06)
You are comparing arabs who could care less about the Jewish people and want us dead to G-d fearign Jews that are living a life and keeping close to Jewish tradition...tyhey are the reason why we are all here in the first place. Without them we would have a country in Zimbabway or wherever they proposed. The land of Israel (eretz Yisrael) is for the Jews...The state of Israel is for anyone who applys and gets accepted for citizenship. The State is also where most non religios would live to flee and go somewhere else.
16.  Agbaria threatens Lieberman
Caroline ,   Israel   (04.07.06)
Mr Agbaria does not agree with Mr Lieberman's proposals of exchanging lands. He declares that he supports the idea of one Palestinian state for Arabs and another bi-national country for Arabs and Jews together. How generous he is! While he is apparently ready to live in bi-national state until the Arabs claim union with their brothers from the nearby Palestinian State and accomplish their dream of destroying all of us, he did not ask if the Israeli Jews will even consider such an absurd idea one day. Mr Lieberman's proposal is based on the fact that the great majority of Israeli muslim arabs call themselves "Muslims and Palestinians" first, while the word "Israeli" comes only when it goes about social security, allocations and freedom of speech. No, neither Ethiopian Jews nor Mr Lieberman will not pack to return to their country of origin because they are proud to be Israelis and are not waving another flag than Israeli at any place and on any occasion, contrarily to the Arab people from Lod, Umm-el-Fahm, etc. Look what colours they honour - the flag of Palestine on the Israeli land. And since this is what they want, Mr Lieberman said aloud what many of us think: good riddance! Agbaria is not a fortune teller, but an Arab leader within the muslim community where leaders are obeyed without asking questions. A leader emitting threats is dangerous. Will the law enforcing authorities watch Mr Agbaria more closely after the threatened Mr Lieberman by passing a parallel with the fate of the late Minister Zeevi? Hopefully they will.
17. To Ben Temalion
Caroline ,   Israel   (04.07.06)
What are you talking about? You completely misunderstand the whole idea because of your hatred to the people coming to Israel from the Eastern Europe. If you are such a patriot, where are you? We are not telling you who to vote and who to support over there in the USA. So say something constructive or shut up.
18. homeland?
sa ,   us   (04.07.06)
Another local Arab leader, Rajah Agbaria, says "neither Lieberman nor the Labor party or Olmert will be able to remove us from our homeland." - - - - - No one said anything about removing you from your homes like they did to the poor people of the gush katif, all they want to do is make Arab towns part of Palestine and Jewish towns part of Israel….. oh I forgot Israel is to good to you they give you all kinds of benefits, while if the place where you live becomes Palestine you will get nothing. So here’s some good advice tell your brothers on the other side to stop homicide bombs and firing rockets or you’ll be on the other side of the fence real soon. Be afraid very afraid !!! haha
19. creeping fascism -- end it NOW
b katznelson   (04.07.06)
a wise woman and a holocoust survivor taught me that one should always fight the smallest and most banal injustices... fascism did not arise out of great acts or great atrocities but the constant step by step assault on basic human principles of dignity, fairness and democracy. Stop Lieberman NOW before he drags us step by step into an abyss of barbarism.
20. and this is democraric??
al ,   NYC   (04.07.06)
"We know the end of Zeevi, and it's not that I'm a fortune teller," he concluded, referring to former rightist Tourism Minister Rehavam Zeevi, who was murdered by Palestinian terrorists at a Jerusalem hotel.
21. #13 i see there is no lack of dumb people
mk ,   nj   (04.07.06)
22. So what do you propose ?
Hiram Al Masry ,   Tel Aviv   (04.07.06)
What should be be done in an ideal Israel when dealing with Mr Lieberman questionable approach to life ?? Waiting to read from you ....!!!
23. 22
(04.07.06)
Give him the same opportunity you probably give Hamas...let him join governerment and maybe he'll become more moderate...Wow, am I saying this...g-d forbid. We should follow the Benny alon plan and tranfer all arabs, palastinian and Israeli to jordan...where the real palistine is. That is the only way to peace...it happened in many other countries like India and Pakistan...lets do it here.
24. Umm al-Fahem Arabs....shut the hell up
Yonatan ,   Israel   (04.07.06)
Lieberman is PART of the gov't, but your hamas IS the gov't. Did we hear scream to your brothers to remove hamas? Noooooooooooo.....yea, i thought so. Hopefully Lieberman will get Israel to do what is right with you.....build the wall around you and transfer you the control of hamas!!!
25. Photos
AK   (04.07.06)
How come in Ynet's photos Hamas terrorists look statesmanlike and Lieberman looks deranged -- caught at a weird angle.
26. #6 Klein, but transfer of Jews is legitimate?
AK   (04.07.06)
27. #21 I agree with #13
AK   (04.07.06)
Citizens should be loyal to their state. An oath of loyalty is not too much to ask of people who have a long history of subversion.
28. liberman
pilpelet ,   h israel   (04.07.06)
he dose hate arabs and if i was an arab israelie i would also proterst. like it or not agree with in or no every one is looking out for them selves
29. Democracy
jason white ,   afula,israel   (04.07.06)
The arabs of um el fa-ham sure know what democracy is.What do they mean by banning leiberman like Kahane. That is RABBI Kahane! How about we ban the arab parties from politics. They are against our zionist state. This is our land. When we get a govt. with guts and they say leave. You will leave!
30. Olmert & Mazuz Must Call for Agbaria's Arrest
Adina kutnicki ,   US   (04.07.06)
Agbaria should watch his tongue. He is clearly threatening Lieberman with the same fate as Zeevi. Seems to me that the Israeli authorities should post haste arrest him for incitement to murder. They never miss an opportunity to detain Jewish nationalists for crimes of 'ideological' natures, whereas this is not only ideological in nature, but a call for Lieberman's murder! The cold hard truth of the matter is that the Arabs in Israel think democracy means Islamic rule in Israel. Will the supposed rightwing in Israel be cowed by these treasonous Arab 'leaders'?
