The demonstrators should read what the Torah has to say about social justice: protecting the weak in the community - the widow, defenseless babies and children, the sick. But what the Torah has to say seems to be irrelevant to fanatics . It's the same mentality that allows those in power to sleep well at night while women are abused and/or denied their "get" , to be released from a bad marriage. But , never fear - such people won't commit SERIOUS crimes like eating kitniot on Pesach if it isn't their minhag even if it means they have to starve and they will always be dressed modestly

Where is the mother in all of this? Did he beat his wife to death too? Shaken, beaten- the same thing, a child died from un-natural circumstances. I'm sure the torah says something against a father beating his newborn son to death. Sick.

We must do more to educate young parents & teach them good parenting skills.

There has been many postings about this baby. None of us were there and know the truth. All we know for sure is that a Jewish baby is dead and his father has been accused of murder. It is time to stop the lashon-hora now. ENOUGH!

Inood and all the religions , does not make people intelligent. The name of god is misused. So much for Jewish values. God gave the Jews the possibility to make the distinction between good and evil. Non of us were on Mount Sinai with Moses so how do we know if the story is true? non of us seen God so how do we know if he exists? non of us lived during the biblical time so how do we know if the story is truth. So now "he swayed him a little, its all from god"!? Any parent who doesnt know better than to shake, sway, or swing an infant has no business taking care of a baby, much less being a parent. Its a known fact that all of these actions can cause irreversible damage to a baby. And why in the world are the religious protecting him?

Here one is innocent until proven guilty---what is the law in Israel, I don't know. But most of the posters here have already tried him, found him guilty, and executed him. Your venom adds nothing constructive to a very sad situation.
