Our design agency produced the stickers from a concept I came up with. There's been a terrific response among London's Jews (and indeed Jews from Illinois, New York, Tel Aviv and other UK cities). Having followed the talkback, I'm amazed that people are against criticising Livingstone. He is accountable to all people in London and his recent comments on Jews are outrageous. In short, it is not OK for Livingstone to make derogatory remarks about any of London's citizens. I have no problem at all in people supporting Livingstone, and clearly there are many who do, but that's not the point of this campaign. We're using our democaritc right to protest, a right that was earned by our parents and grandparents who fought against tyranny. There is indeed a difference between the two. But at every opportunity, Ken has attacked Jewish individuals and Jewish groups. Furthermore, Ken is not simply critical of Israeli policies; he has called for Israel's dismantlement. He has not called for the dismantlement of even the most violent terrorist regimes in Sudan, Syria, Burma or Iran. The thing that distinguishes Israel from these mass-murdering, minority-run states is that these states are not Jewish. A final ironic point: Mr. Livingstone thinks that certain Jews should go back where they came from, but he doesn't know where that is. He apparently thinks Jews come from Iran. Poor confused bigot.
