33. #32: oh, here and there...
Michael Steiner   (05.02.06)
...still very much the Wandering Jew ;-)
34. To #9
Joan ,   Haifa   (05.02.06)
Gedaliah, I think maybe you should read the headline again. Does it say "Haredim are thugs" or something similar? Of course not.
35. Haredi Rabbis?
Joan ,   Haifa   (05.02.06)
Hasn't it occurred to these learned gentlemen that they are, by advocating thuggery like this, distancing Jews from Judaism? I'd think that would be a sin even in their book.
36. #33 Steiner, good to see you back!
Efrat ,   Israel   (05.02.06)
37. Send them back to NY we dont want them or need them
(05.03.06)
All they do is sit on their asses and study all damn day They dont work to feed their 12 kids - what kind of a father doesnt work to feed his family? Over 95% dont serve in army All they do is suck money from the State What a bunch of self-righteous lazy nudniks
38. no names
sk ,   USA   (05.03.06)
Is it too much to expect Haim Levinson to offer some named sources as well as named alleged perpetrators? Can one Israeli journalist actually INVESTIGATE something, getting who, what, where, when, & how?
39. Sorry, this "secular" is not joining the 3-minute hate
sk ,   USA   (05.03.06)
Guys, again and again Israeli journalists make up news "stories" or sign their names on government press releases and call it "reporting." Therefore, when a "news" story that has no actual names and no named sources comes out, I, for one, draw no conclusion whatsoever.
40. Haredi action
John Lowry ,   Fort Bragg, CA, USA   (05.03.06)
Never before have I been tempted to call another Jew a Nazi. But this is not acceptible. If the enteprise is a nusiance to the community, zoning regulations can solve the problem peaceably.
41. TODAY.........
ALAN ,   USA   (05.03.06)
TODAY COMPUTERS TOMORROW PEOPLE ON THE BEACH ON SHABBAT
42. Extreme-right in Israël.
shai ,   T-A   (05.03.06)
We are very good at denouncing the extreme-right abroad but we should realize that we have one very powerful at home, rather two by the way, on one side, the settlers, extreme nationalists, and on the other side, the haredim, religious fanatics. And they get a lot of votes!
43. Misreporting
Jake ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (05.04.06)
I live in Jerusalem and go through the neighborhoods involved quite frequently. The story presented here simply didn't happen. This is not the first time that Ynet dramatically reports events among Hareidim that didn't happen. The Hareidi community IS concerned about misuse of the 'net and negative effects it might have on community members. And some people may indeed have gone into a cyber cafe to stop their Hareidi neighbors from using the 'net. But the report of riots and "special police force" responding is the kind of baloney reporting which this site is, unfortunately, becoming famous for. A few hard facts, instead of vague slander, would be more useful - and honest.

I'm not offended by your remarks. Your comments simply show what is in your heart. You have much hatred and bitterness against someone who means you no harm.
