Why, in th same way Egypt is independent - and Jordan, and the Lebanon... Didn't you know? Don't you care? Or don't you care enough to know that Egypt is a net receiver of more US aid than Israel? That Jordan and the Lebanon and, in the past, Syria - all, all have recieved aid from the US in order to prevent them from attacking Israel. But never worry... At one and the same time, Independent Israel exports much needed aerospace technology, defense technology, weapons development, IT research and technology to the US. I haven't noticed that Egypt, Jordan, the Lebanon and Syria do likewise - but hey, maybe they're just not indpendent enough...

What Israel gets from the USA she is very grateful for but let me tell you a fact that every Senator and every Congressman in America knows and you apparently do not. What America receives in return is tenfold, no hundredfold. What do you think, they are all stupid and in the business of alms distribution or they all suffer from some mental disability and write checks all day long and the President( do not crack any jokes about Bush) and all his men are a bunch of idiots.
