the reason that hamas was voted in is because arafat was corrupt and put all the palestins money in a swiss bank account for sua to live palestine free in france. he isited hatetred in arabik and peace in english. he realised he was dying and he wanted to go down in history as the leader who brought peace to the region, dont get me wrong i still think with all whats gone down we had a better chance then when rabin and araft were alive for peace than we have to-day. but to say the ball is in our court wrong the palestinans have to find a government that really want to help there people and not there ego, bank account, polictical status , what ever, and so far there not doing it. i do feel we need to allow medcine and food through and im sure hamas will fall but things get better no.what will all thouse out of work terrorists do besides blowing us up thay will do there best to destroy the next government, and i dont know if their exists anyone with balls to destroy them first.
32. Israeli Arabs or Hamas?
Steve ,   USA   (05.10.06)
B"H The Israeli Arabs have reportedly arranged for some 200 Tonnes of food for their brothers and sisters living eastward. Hamas is not able to feed the prisoners or the regular government employees. Does it therefore not make sense that the Israeli Arabs "govern" the humanitarian aspect and Hamas downsizes those it cannot feed? There are Arabs to talk to. These Arabs are the ones Israel has given citizenship to, so it has been talking for awhile! I am sure some sort of deal can be struck in the Kenesset where THESE Arabs can positively influence the situation while Hamas putters and sputters. It must be Kenesset coordinated. Otherwise, how can 200 Tonnes of food just slip the boarder. Also, I am not thinking that the average Arab in Israel is rich enough to afford that kind of food, so there must be some sort of government intervention here through these people, if the Israeli army is not willing to impose an adminstration of law and order.
33. #27 Mr. Cohen, very interesting plus my advice.
Ron ,   LA   (05.10.06)
Mr. Cohen, very interesting. I have thought and came to some conclusions about your solution. Please look at my previous posting # 6 . It looks like you can benefit from my advice to Hanania. http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3242459,00.html
34. forget the dead!
SAMUEL BLAIR ,   BOCA RATON USA   (05.10.06)
mr. Hanania doesn't seem to pay and respect to the thousands of dead israelis and soldiers killed in all the arab invasions. from before 1947. there were wars and all the wars were won by israel. as general jackson said in 1831,"to the victor belong the spoils". after world war 1 land changed hands. after world war 11 land changed hands. after the 1967 war land changed hands. and that must remain as is. the palestinians must be educated that when you lose a war land changes hands! it is obvious the arabs do not know this. and it is past the time to let them know they have no land. it all belongs to israel. the usa never gave the indians a state! the indians were all put into reservatins. in israel it is called "camps" the main trouble with israel is that they never had anyone who was able to run a country! they should hire kissinger to help them run israel. today they have one of the worst prime ministers that ever ran the country. another "bush" sharon left israel a terrible mess. gaxa is today a powerfu fort with thousands of young arabs training how to use the lates in military arms the tanks will be there soon. the world and the israellis must be shown they are the most powerful military force in the entire middle east. in the air, on the sea and the best army. why sould they give back even one inch of israel. it belongs to the people of israel. oh, yes, let us not forget ....the nuclear bomb!!! Personallyy, if i were the p.m. there would not be a terror group in the area. and there wjould peace and prosperity in the land of israe. and experienced enough to run a country!

But now that he's dead you want to put him on a pedastal. " Ron sez: Arafat was homosexual, now Ray want to put him on paederast(al)

Michael   (05.10.06)
You said israel should only punish those responsible for terrorists activity. Israel would very much like to limit clooateral damage, but there must be courage shown by the man on the street to say enough and not shelter these guys. The regular palestinian has to have courage and tell these criminals not in my neighborhood. Until that happens no technology in the world can prevent collateral damage.
38. Who frightens more
(05.10.06)
I don't know who scares me more, a Palestinians who in his columns advocates for peace and justice, or a man in LA who continually barks hatred and anger and division. Which is best for Israel, an enemy we can make peace with or someone who is Jewish who clearly has no place for peace in his heart. Maybe this RON IN LA wants more violence because he profits from it? Your writings are nauseating and the hypocrisy you assert in Hanania's columns drown everything you write. You should get a life Ron, one with a little less hatred and maybe reason and common sense. Your bitterness is turning into viciousness.
39. Read the columns Ron
Michael   (05.10.06)
Most know you to be a Likud extremist. That's fine. But you ignore the columns, Ron by working so hard and wasting your time to debunk them. You can't debunk peace. I don't expect Ray Hanania to be pro-Israel. He is Palestinian, "moron" to use the phrase in his previous column. He is writing about how two people who do not get along CAN TRY to find peace. Headlines differences, phrasing differences, or not. You are typical Ron of someone who is leading us down a life of continued misery and fear. Imagine living with the threat of violence all the time. Look at the bigger picture and stop trying to trash peace and promote hatred, Ron. You are annoying to everyone here except the disciples who join you in cheering on your hatred. Michael

Actually, Ray's columns consist of a lattice of hypocritical elements. They actually make Yair Lapid's columns look worthwhile in comparison.

#39 Look at the bigger picture...autographed Arafat... Most know you to be a Likud extremist.>>>How many, 84.7%, how do you know, Hnooonia? Why don’t you just ask? Crossed your mind?<<< That's fine. But you ignore the columns, Ron by working so hard and wasting your time to debunk them>>>Thanks for compliment, I’ll take it, have great collection of praises and compliments. Thank you so much for valuing my time..<<<. You can't debunk peace. >>> Hnooonia this is not about your columns and “humor”, you working for your wife’s groceries, not for Ron and others, Hnooonia<<< I don't expect Ray Hanania to be pro-Israel. He is Palestinian, "moron" to use the phrase in his previous column. He is writing about how two people who do not get along CAN TRY to find peace. Headlines differences, phrasing differences, or not. >>> I except him to be honest about his opinions like his friends from Hamas, not to pretend to be mother Theresa with Yasser’s knife behind the back. I prefer honest Hamasnik to fake peacenik<<< You are typical Ron>>> Correct . I am Ron and proud of it<<< of someone who is leading us down a life of continued misery and fear.>>> you can continue to live in cold and windy Chicago, anyway who wants fear and misery, when we have LA?<<< Imagine living with the threat of violence all the time. >>> Is your wife violent? Sorry.<<< Look at the bigger picture>>autographed Arafat on your wall?<<< and stop trying to trash peace and promote hatred, Ron. You are annoying to everyone here>>>100% no less?<<< except the disciples who join you in cheering on your hatred. >>> Hnooonia, you forgot to tell about my racism and hate. Please remember for the next time, so we don’t forget, Hnoooni<<<
44. Peace--to Ray
Hilda ,   USA   (05.11.06)
Ray, You know as well as I that Israel has been ready for 58 years to make peace with its Arab neighbors. Just let them be sincere. None of this Hundai business b ecause you may well know but won;t admit that it is only a ruse to get Israel to make a peace disarm and then Hamas will strike when Israel is "sleeping" and destroy it. In the meantime they are playing that old game good Arab/bad Arab. No me I didn;t do it. When Fatah was in then it ws was Hamas. Now that Hamas is in then it is Al Aksa Brigade ot some other cockamanie group. But you and I both know they are all the same.. Different names from day to day but same terrorists.
45. HooRay, finally writing about important things again!
Yehuda ,   USA   (05.11.06)
Ray, its encouraging to hear your overall spirit in this article. While I share your spirit I think that you need to change your opinions about the following: 1. You keep on going back to Arafat and Rabin. Unfortunately their efforts failed so let's not repeat that again and let's not dwell in failures. 2. I don't understand why Arafat is such a hero to you. He sucked so much money out of Palestinian hands to Suha. It was terrible. Anyway, now for my call to action. We should build a site where every Israeli and Palestinian can come and vote for what they think the final agreement should be. We're talking about 5 major components of which only two are show stoppers (Jerusalem and Right of Return). If nearly 10 million people state clearly what they think should happen then we may come up with a final deal. I truely don't believe that Israel will be the party opposing a pragmatic and fair solution.

51. Don, er, Alicia, er Daisy ...
(05.12.06)
Any Moron should also be able to find other columns Hanania has written. He doesn't write the headlines. Here are two more Don, er Alicia, er Daisy didn't want to mention: Palestinians and Israelis must find courage for peace San Jose Mercury News, USA - Apr 30, 2006 By Ray Hanania. ... We have no other choice. RAY HANANIA is former national president of the Palestinian American Congress. He wrote this article for Newsday. Finding the Courage to Achieve Peace Salt Lake Tribune, United States - Apr 28, 2006 By Ray Hanania. Most Palestinians and Israelis recognize that there is no military option to end their conflict. As Palestinian society ... Ah. But maybe Don, er Alicia er Daisy's purpose is to foment hatred, attacking the writer personall instead of addressing the issues. I remember something very similar to that happening in Germany back in the 1930s. Don er Alicia er Daisy would have fit in very comfortably in that period. Oh, I forgot. It might have been turned around a bit. Tragic how victims become the victimizers so easily. Keep going Ray. I LOOOOOOOVE to see you get under their skin. So many others here also enjoy it. It does take Chutzpah! A friend indeed!
52. Post all of Hanania's writings
(05.13.06)
Since someone keeps posting parts of Hanania's writings, I thought I might share what he wrote on his Message Center in response to a Palestinian email there on his web site. All of what he writes is posted on his web site, by the way, the good and the "bad." Here is what he posted there: Thanks for writing. I thinkt hat Hamas has engaged in terrorism since 1994, not just terrorism but terrorism intended to prevent peace. Now, you are telling me that theys pent the past 14 years using violence onlybecause they wanted to be inc harge to make peace? That would be hypocritical, to say the least. I supported Yasir Arafat despite the allegations of corruption because he did more than any other Palestinian to free us from Arab bondage and then elevate us to force Israel to recognzie us. He wasn't a great government leader, though and many in his Fatah organization were corrupt. I know about that Fatah corruption because when I served as President of the Palestinian American Congress the Fatah organization here in the US did everything it could to use the organization to elevate themselves and get themselves jobs. Jim Zogby even helped them do that and did everything he could to undermine me. AAI, at the time, didn't want a Palestinian organization to speak for Palestinians so they coopted us. I hope they have changed. But the people in Palestine have to STOP using the suffering as an excuse to embrace hatred and violence. We Palestinians have NEVER been against Jews. We oppose Jewish politics that says we don't have a right to live in Palestine. We have lost several wars trying to fight that premise and we are in a position where we eiuther keep fighting and KEEP LOSING because we don't have good leaders, or we accept a compromise, be honest about it, and try our best to get as much of Palestine back to form our state. I agree that Israel's leaders today are arrogant and they do engage in a subtle form of terorrism guised in "defense" ... bombing an Islamic leader with a missile and then killing 9 civilians standing nearby is the worst form of terrorism. But DON'T DENY that suicide bombing is not also a form of terrorism. It is terrorism, too. We can't denounce what they do to us if what we do to them is just as bad or sometimes worse. Palestinians are just, principled and we have truth on our side. We must stand by the truth, not lie to make the truth seem more acceptable. Speak the truth and admit what we have done. Change what we have done. Do things better. That's our future. Letting emotion drive our response to Israel's often intransigience is wrong. Ray sez: "We Palestinians have NEVER been against Jews" sk sez: Moron. I really liked this bit, though: "I supported Yasir Arafat despite the allegations of corruption because he did more than any other Palestinian to free us from Arab bondage and then elevate us to force Israel to recognzie us. He wasn't a great government leader, though and many in his Fatah organization were corrupt." Hnoooooonia is actually likening Arafat (a.k.a. Abd al-Rahman abd al-Bauf Arafat al-Qud al-Husseini) to Moshe (Moses)! Anyway, there is nothing "alleged" in corruption that yields a net worth of $3 billion (an estimate of Arafat's wealth).
55. Let those Palestinians who support peace
jodetoad ,   Mojave desert, USA   (05.14.06)
join together and try to influence events. What I see in the news is a glorification of violence and defiance. Much of this may be manufactured, and I realize "if it bleeds it leads", so a distant view may be pretty inaccurate. But if there really is a substantial number of Palestinians who prefer peace, they need to make their own stand, make their voices heard. Perhaps the biggest menace to the Palestinians is being swallowed up by a worship of violence. Beyond anything others can do, people live inside their own perspectives and attitudes. An attitude of resentment, hate, and defiance makes a great prison. In that it makes compromise impossible, it is also self-perpetuating. Don't mean to preach, but I have been there.
