31. to #30 Ahmadinejad never called for genocide
Jannik ,   Denmark   (05.11.06)
What he said is that the inhabitants of Israel should leave Israel becuase its not their land, and Israel is not a legimate nation. The name is a designation of a land that is stolen. Thats the meaning of "removing Israel from the map". He said it like this because it was in a speach for his own people, whom understands the difference between "genocide" and "reclaiming stolen property".
32. Wiping or removing?
Sivan ,   Tel-Aviv   (05.11.06)
Didn't he said "wipe off" - not "remove" To wipe is to clean something away, like getting a wet cloth and wiping a surface. To remove something, is to put it somewhere else. Or maybe not? Perhaps it means the same. Whatever he meant, I don't like the sound of it. I don't want to be wiped off, or removed.
33. The letter
Anoosh ,   USA   (05.11.06)
These letters have been called a "stroke of jenius". The reason is these letters have made their intended impact by taking the wind out of the Israel/US sails raised to start a new war. Israel's relentless efforts to egg on the US to attack Iran has been met with sharp resistance by the American people, who unlike their Zionist-influenced congress and incompentent administration, realize that what is requested by Israel from the US is surly counter to the US national interests - it has always been this way but the differenct is the American people are cognizant of the dangers of falling into the Zionists' trap this time. The best impact of these letters is that the American people realize that there is someone to talk to in Iran and there are some reasonable people that can be taken seriously. Ahmadinejad in the meantime is playing his role very well. He is showing the alternative to the US and Israel if the moderates in Iran are ignored. In simple terms Iran is saying to the US, take you pick. Israel has no choice. As a two-bit country and poster boy of occupation, aggresson and state supported terrorism and the original rouge nation, Israel is detested by more people in the world than any country. What Israel says about the dangers posed by Iran is not taken seriously by anyone. Therefore there is but one way left, put up or shut up.

I have seen your posts before and they keep getting better and better. You keep using phrases like "Zionist's trap" and "Zionist influenced congress". This only shows your true ignorance. Also to call anything that comes out of Iran a "stroke of genius" shows how trully dunb you are. you must have been raised somewhere outside the US, b/c brainwashing like this does not happen here. In the end, you will see that Iran is one big joke. They will either have to stop their nuke ambitions or face military strikes like Iraq. And the best part is that Israel has nothing to do with it. Even Iran's Allies, Russia and China are starting to understand the situation. You, however, only see one thing...hatred for anything Israeli or Jewish. Very pathetic!!!

the fact that you believe that Ahmadinejad would hesitate even for a second to nuke Israel makes you a fool. He would do this knowing full well that he would kill fellow muslims as well. I think this is a sacrafice he is willing to make, as long as ISrael would be destroyed. Guess what? Israel, the US, Europe will not let this happen. People like you who forget history only make things worse. Get real man...
36. Iranian letter to Presiden Bush
Behrouz Bayat ,   Washington DC USA   (05.12.06)
Ahmadinejad's Letter to Bush: Worldwide Media Reaction In a surprising move, Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has sent a letter to President George Bush proposing "new ways" to resolve the differences between the two countries. The announcement came just a few hours before a meeting in New York of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany to discuss the draft resolution on Iran's nuclear program. The letter - first in 27 years - was delivered by Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki to the Swiss ambassador Monday, May 8. The letter Iranian President Ahmadinejad sent to President Bush was a hasty effort by the regime to present itself as a peace-seeking nation in the Middle East, as well as bolster domestic support for a few top decision makers. Created within that narrow ruling circle, is attempted to distract the great part of the Iranian people from their deep economic discontent and youth from the profound social, economic and cultural frustrations imposed on it. The letter also sought to advance two even more salient purposes, as noted by commentators from within the Iranian and Muslim worlds and reported in the review of commentary below. One, pointed out by the reformist Tehran newspaper E'temaad-e-Melli, is that the letter cannot have any positive diplomatic influence as Ahmadinejad wrote from the position religious capable of saving the whole world. The other purpose, as Iran expert Wahied Wahdat-Hagh said in an interview with the German weekly Der Spiegel, is that it sought to tell Bush to his face that Iran is going to continue with the strategy it has thus far followed. Moreover, the letter is intended for the entire Muslim world, as Wahdat-Hagh said. "Ahmadinejad wants to build an anti-Western coalition and Iran wants to present itself as the leading power in the Muslim world.” Iran sees the best way to attain this role by publicly challenging and standing up to the United States. This letter, along with Iran’s defiance of international community concerns over its nuclear enrichment activities, sends the message to the Islamic world that Iran is able to deal with the United States and defend its position, which the regime is trying to present as the position of all Islamic states. The regime’s public relation campaign has used this letter to buy itself more time to delay proceeding at the United Nations and any adoption of a resolution critical of Iran and seeking to impose sanctions on it. Ahmadinejad’s letter gives the Russians and Chinese more tools to hold up their decision to continue to argue that Iran does not present an immediate danger to the world security and is prepared to negotiate. Washington said there will be no response to Ahmadinejad’s letter. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has said it contained nothing new that offered hope of settling the nuclear dispute. US officials dismissed the document as more of a philosophical treatise than a political overture. "There is nothing in this letter that in any way addresses any of the issues really that are on the table in the international community," Rice said.
37. Second Letter
PM ,   Indiana   (05.12.06)
It's about time that ANY world leader finally tells Bush the truth. I am so tired of world leaders acting like a bunch of sheep when it comes to the middle east. The best way to promote middle east peace would be to dissolve the country of Israel. We are doing nothing more than protecting the Jews and our oil interests. And for what? To kill young American men and women?
