1. Hey Go tell your own people this garbage
(05.13.06)
Always pointing the finger at Jews
2. Hey Ray, Go tell every Arab in the world to stop too
(05.13.06)
You think its only a PLO problem, look everywhere there are Moslems, they have one goal, to destroy the west and to incoporate Sharia law. Read your own cult book and read what they are saying daily. There will NEVER be peace with Islam. http://www.prophetofdoom.us
3. Ray
Jane   (05.13.06)
"Israelis are living in an arrogant time where everything is going their way"? Ray, you are out of touch with reality. The Palestinians elected a terrorist group instead of a government. Iran is threatening to wipe us off the face of the earth. Pakistan is inciting the Iranians to use Israel as a hostage. French Jews are being victimized up to, but not limited to, the torture murder of Ilan Halimi. I add this, together with other European persecution of Jews in these days, since the Muslim world call ALL jews the sons of pigs and monkeys and does not limit this epithet to Israelis. Do not tell us that everything is going our way. Do not expect us to butress those who wish our extinction. Do not expect us to finance those who wish us dead. Everything is NOT going our way, Ray. But we will survive, as we always had, inspite of the rest of what purports to be humanity. Our Blessed Father watches all.
4. Well mr. Hanania.
Caligula's Horse ,   Solomon's Stables   (05.13.06)
This collumn is definatly better than the rest of your collumns, but I do have something to say. "Arabs rejected the two-state solution in 1947. Yes they did, but for specific reasons that no longer apply today." Well, supposedly this is true, if those reasons no longer apply today, then why did the Arabs use Oslo's two state solution as a knife to stab in Israel's back? And why did they reject the 2000 two state solution? Let's say that it wasnt because of the same reasons 60 years ago, okay, then what are the reasons? "Although some Palestinians supported the Nazis in the same Biblical belief that Jews embrace - the enemy of my enemy is my friend." No Ray, that was a big embracemnt of Nazi ideology and everything that came with it, Husseini the Mufti urged Hitler in every way to speed up the annihlation of the Jews, and the Arab nationalism did take many Nazi and Facist beliefs and ideas to shape its modern ideology, today Islamist nationalism relies on that ideology aswell, I advise you to read Hamas' charter, even you will be suprised. "Jews and Arabs, must address the issue of refugees openly." There is no discussion here in my eyes, the refugee problem lies entierly with the Arabs, a Palestinian state is the solution to Palestinian refugees, do not ask us to take responsiblity over something we arent to blame for.
5. Tell Your Children The Truth
(05.13.06)
http://www.tellthechildrenthetruth.com/ The PLO from the start wanted to finish Hitler's job. Ray, you are another blind fool to the word of "peace" calling Arafat a good man. The better you dont pass on your genes the better. The Israeli policy as of now is as low as it can get, it will only get more and more right win. Your stupid farce of a PLO nation will be destroyed by your blindness that they only seek to destroy themselves and their own life, maybe if they didnt spend the billions the world has given them for Nazi education and arms, maybe they could be a successful nation, but they dont as they are their worst enemy.
6. May 14
Moe Chile ,   London, Canada   (05.13.06)
It is true that May 14 symbolizes different things for two different peoples, and it is true that this conflict cannot be resolved with the current mind set being used by these two different peoples. It is true that violence and hatred destroy and mame the the innocent and accomplish nothing more than increased violence and increased hatred. It is true that fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering... It is true ... It is time to stop this kind of truth and return to the more humble truth, not of who we are, but of who we want to be. The human mind is undeniabley a vast resevoir of energy. When this energy is used in constructive ways, doors appear where once there were none. Windows open that had previously been shut. Solutions that once were merely ideas, are realized. Tolerance, generostiy, kindness breed more of the same. These are the lessons to be learned from May 14. May the truth prevail. Moe Chile
7. Read the Koran Ray, It Hates NonMuslims

8. Hey Ray, What about us Sikhs?
Sahib ,   India   (05.14.06)
Look what they did to us http://www.hinduunity.org/articles/sikhs/evidence1-4.html We must never forgive them, they are infesting the entire world. Please wake up citizens of Earth, wake up before its too late.
9. Arabs desired one state solution...
Jeffrey Levine ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (05.14.06)
Of course they did. Arab/Muslims only thrive on the backs of non-Muslims. They are never happy when they ar not in charge. So a one state soultion with a majority of Arbs would hav kept the Jews as second class citizens where the Muslims prefer them. Paying a special Dhimmi tax. UNable to vorte, ro pratice Judaism. Muslims can't tolerate liiving anwhere they are not in control. I have always felt that the Arabs need to make room for their own people and leave Israel all together. That would be great for everybody!
10. Don't Forget the Past
Ploni Martel   (05.14.06)
The "Palestinians" (Arabs) aided Hitler in his Final Solution for the Jews. They massacred Jews in 1929, and throughout the 30's and 40's. Let's not forget this. The Jews of course want peace. The Arabs also do. But they also think we stole their land, as we know from Ray Hanania tells us in this article. This is the source of the conflict. It is not citizenship they want, but a reactionary vision that would erase the "Nakba," the "Catastrophe," of Israel's creation by eliminating the Jewish state. If anything Ray, you have solidified my belief that the only way for peace is that one side must go.
11. I love reading Ray's pieces!
GaDo ,   USA   (05.14.06)
Fiction is awesome! Ray wants us to "stop looking at the past." Maybe that's because if we did look at the past we'd see a number of things: 1) Israel is and has been the homeland of the Jewish people even before Islam was invented. Jerusalem is our holiest city, mentioned in our holy books over 700 times, whereas it is never mentioned even once in the Qur'an. (Mecca and Medinah are Islam's holiest cities). The Holocaust certainly convinced many Jews to return home, but it is NOT our justification for being there. We RETURNED because is our HOME. (And by the way, the comparison to the Holocaust should be duly noted and condemned. Ray says "although there is no comparison" and yet proceeds to make such a comparison -- that is despicable and not intellectually honest. Ray, you should be ashamed.) 2) There never was a "Palestinian people." Palestine is a name given to the Jewish state of Judea by the Romans (who named it after the Philistines, the biblical enemy of the Jewish people, after they crushed the Bar Kochva Revolt in 135 CE). "Palestinian" referred to people of that region, usually the Jews, until about 1967(hence the Jerusalem Post was called the "Palestine Post" from 1932 to 1950). There were both Palestinian Arabs and Palestinian Jews. The Arabs are the ones who rejected the UN's plan for 2 states, not the Jews. Ray's statement that "Palestinians and Arabs rejected the two-state solution in 1947" is therefore very misleading. In any case, just imagine if the Romans had not renamed Judea to Palestina, and on every map throughout the centuries and throughout the different empires that controlled the land it was called Judea. Would we now be fighting the Judean terrorists? There's no such thing as a "Palestinian," insofar as the term denotes a distinct nation. They are part of the Arab nation (btw most Arabs have trouble pronouncing a "P," so you'll hear them often referring to "Falastin.") 3) Ray says, "the only real answer to our conflict is to do our best never to let go of the vision of two-states. An Israeli state and a Palestinian state." Nice! We should have peace already then. There are already two "Palestinian states" -- an Israeli one and a "Palestinian" one (Jordan). The geographical region known as Palestine, which was supposed to become the Jewish National Homeland (by the mandate of the League of Nations), included the land on the West as well as the East of the Jordan River. In 1922, 78% of that land was ripped away from the Jewish people by the British, Perfidious Albion, and the Palestinian state of trans-Jordan was created. All the so-called "Palestinians" should move to Jordan, the Palestinian state, and we would have peace. Except that the conflict is not about achieving statehood. It is about eliminating the Jewish state. Ray, if you truly believe you are part of a "Palestinian nation" I'm sorry that you have deluded yourself so. But let us Jews never forget the past, lest we let history repeat itself. The Arabs in Israel sided with the Nazis to murder us, and the so-called "Palestinians" of today have sided with Hamas who have the same goals. Indeed, we must remember the past. Never Forget, and Never Again!
12. thanks for some hope
(05.14.06)
i rarely read any hope. this comes close. not far. but better than we hear. lol. thanks for something anyway.
13. why the hell
Michael ,   Austin, TX   (05.14.06)
didn't you people accept Barak's incredibly generous offer??? why? because you DON'T want a country of your own...you want to remain the world's biggest victims.....waaaaah!
14. The Jews supply the Arabs with
Jews should not ,   be used by Arabs   (05.14.06)
water, medical treatment, electricity, etc. What do the Arabs supply the Jews with? Violence, hatred and terrorism.
15. To Mr. Hanania
Josh ,   Jerusalem   (05.14.06)
Personally Mr. Hanania, I think you need to re-evaluate your value system, then you need to look at the reality of today. Nobody's stuck in the past except you. How can you equate fundamentalist Islamists, who believe in jihad as a means of taking over the infidel and the western world, to conservative Israelis? Don't you think that's a little unbalanced? I don't care what political policy Israel uses, whether it be military or economic force, nothing justifies terrorism. Without starting from this understanding, you cannot judge the Israeli-Palestinian conflict justly. You go on about how Israel should forget about the fact that the Palestinians rejected statehood in '47, but what about 2000? The offer of 95% of what they asked for wasn't good enough? And now what do you propose we do? Offer 100% to Hamas, a terror organization that blew up many of our coffee shops and pizza parlors, aids and promotes shahada and terrorism and opens its gates to al-Qaida and Islamic Jihad? Does that seem rational to you Mr. Hanania? I sick and tired of people expecting Israel to keep offering until we have no more to offer. When is the line drawn where we stop getting rejected for every concession we make and still be expected to offer more? When do we put our foot down and say enough is enough?
16. Arabs Chose War: Arabs Suffer The Consequences
Yishai Kohen ,   YeShA, Israel   (05.14.06)
We don't need to join you in your suffering for choosing war and murdering our people instead of establishing a state.
17. The most courageous article Ray ever wrote.
Boaz ,   Ramat Gan, Israel   (05.14.06)
And I command you for that. I have plenty of disagreements and commentaries on every point you made. But not ones that will fit this talkback thread, which as always become a magnate for trash from all over. (My reaction would be an article in itself) You tried to take on the core issues (where the pain is) as you identify them. I too support the two states solution, but other then that our differences are beyond huge. Be that as it may, good job and good luck.
18. Israelis and Palestinians
bob kirk ,   los angeles, usa   (05.14.06)
Ray Hanania sounds like a well-meaning but confused man. He wants Israelis and Palestinians to make peace and each have their own state. However, he falsely believes that each side simply 'hates' the other. Amazingly he fails to recognize that Israel has offered peace to Arabs since 1948 while the Arabs responded with war and terror. The conflict exists because most Arabs do not want a Jewish state to exist. Arabs conquered all of the Middle East and North Africa and insist that it remain Arab. Hence the Jews, Kurds and Berbers are to be excluded from independence. If and when Arab / Muslim culture is transformed into a tolerant culture then peace will be possible, not before. Those who claim a false equivalency are deluding themselves. The Palestinians were in a peace process which they destroyed with suicide bombings against Israelis. Until the Palestinians stop all terror there cannot be peace and no amount of blaming 'both sides' can ever change that.
19. #17 Courageous Article?! He lives in America
(05.14.06)
He keeps pointing at the finger at Jews. To Ray SPEAK TO YOUR OWN PEOPLE, WE HAVE HEARD THIS BEFORE
20. To #13
Muhammad-Ali ,   Montreal   (05.14.06)
Barak's "generous offer" was to grab more land and to make the WB a group of banstustans.
21. The Israelis rejoice what nthey remember what they did to us
Muhammad-Ali ,   Montreal   (05.14.06)
in Lebanon and when they destroyed his capital. They said they entered our country to chase to PLO but even after doing so, they remained in the country.
22. Hey #19, chill
Boaz ,   Ramat Gan, Israel   (05.14.06)
I don’t expect to agree with me. Is this how you measure courage?
23. Ray; Here's the Solution - Change Jordan's name to Palestin
Dudu ,   Kfar Sava   (05.14.06)
It is already 70% "palestinian" (whatever that means) so just overthrow the Hashemite minority regime, install democracy and Bob's your uncle!
24. Kicking out Arabs in 48 was best thing we ever did!
Tomer ,   Savyon   (05.14.06)
I only wish we had done the same in 67. Then, we would not have problems with so-called Filastin scum.
25. Who is this monkey called Hanania?
Rami ,   Hod Hashraon   (05.14.06)
He is not worth listening to - An Arab propagandaist who lives in America and spreads lies?
26. Catastrophe?
exiled ,   Gainesville, U.S.A   (05.14.06)
Israel's 1948 Declaration of Independence says the following in part: The 'catastrophe which recently befell the Jewish people --- the massacre of millions of Jews in Europe' was, the declaration stated, 'another clear demonstration of the urgency of solving its homelessness re-establishing in the land of Israel the Jewish state, which would open the gates of the homeland wide to every Jew', etc. When the Jews of Gaza wore orange stars of David, there was an outcry --- in Israel and throughout the world --- that it diminished the magnitude and the horror of the Holocaust, but when Arabs refer to the establishment of the state of Israel as "the catastrophe" there is silence. Why?
27. Ray the "Comedian"
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (05.14.06)
I have been reading Ray's articles, and they are not as funny as Jackie Mason. Hey Ray, why did Jackie Mason not want you to appear in his comedy show? Maybe it's because UR LAME JOKES SUCK? How's about you get Jackie Mason a gig doing a comedy column for Al Jazeera, just like YNet gives you a stage for your double-plus-unfunny stupid op-eds?
28. Prophet of Doom quote
Kerry L. Winn ,   Las Vegas USA   (05.15.06)
The Prophet of Doom is intentionally misquoted by Winn. I have read the Qur'an, and Hadiths, three translations, and Winn minstranslates and misquotes. Be careful regarding what is on the web. This souce is a major Islamophobe. Ray, there will be no peace as long as the Arab governments control the media and brainwash their people. At the moment I view the Arabs in the area as living in a death cult. Also, remember, the Arabs were massacring Jews long before the state of Israel was created.
29. Ray, wrong date.
NS ,   Long Island, NY   (05.15.06)
Ray, Ray, Ray........ First of all, Israel celebrates Independence Day on the 5th day of the Hebrew month of Iyar. What the Palestinians do on May 14th is none of my affair. However, if you have any say with your people you might urge them to use May 14th as a day of self reflection. They might want to reflect on how the Palestinians end up with such G-d awful leadership year after year after year. People in the United States are tired of hearing the whining of the Palestinians when Arabs are committing atrocities in a small Sudanese province called Darfur. Ray, sober up and fly right!
