There comes a point when rhetoric and diplomacy are no longer possible. This Iranian Government has made it clear that it will continue to play games all the while building a bomb with which to carry out it's threat. Had we bombed Hitler before iehe managed to take over the Sudeten we would never have had WWII. Are we going to wait for Iran to decide to attack? Knock out the enrichment center and be done! Call it taking a part in the "war on terror." The "Shrub" will have to acquiesce to the decision.
2. And with a DM like Peretz

The IDF has a REAL problem
3. Israel can disrupt the Palestinian Media and Internet!
nero ,   nyc   (05.15.06)
Israel could reduce the intcitement for violence on the Arab media by iteefering with reception in the Palestinian territories.
4. The longer the west takes to act....
Ram ,   London   (05.15.06)
the greater price the world at large will have to pay. It is unbelievable how blind to the threat the west appears to be. May Hashem help Israel!

6. Olmert's response: "WE ARE TIRED of DEFEATING OUR ENEMIES"
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (05.15.06)
"We are tired of fighting, we are tired of being courageous, we are tired of winning, we are tired of defeating our enemies, we want to be able to live in an entirely different environment of relations with our enemies." -- Ehud Olmert in a June 2005 address to the Israel Policy Forum in New York. As Israel's enemies grow stronger, strengthend with the Gaza surrender, Olmert makes the stunning admission that he's tired of defeating Israel's enemies. Tired of winning, Olmert plans to surrender the strategic high ground of Judea and Samaria to Israel's implacable enemies, so that they can win.
7. This is where appeasment leads !
Marcel ,   Florida   (05.15.06)
Israel's policy of rewarding terrorism and retreating from their land and surrendering as gestures of peace HAS NOT LED TO PEACE BUT TO WAR !!!!! Israel has a bumber crop of weak leaders who follow the same steps as Neville Chamberlain did with Hitler.,and the same outcome (war) is guaranteed !
8. If the Chinese can control Their Internet why is Israel
Gabrielle Goldwater ,   Geneva Switzerland   (05.15.06)
not making sure to stop the Pali access to the Net - ISP - etc...
9. scratching my head here
Yisraeli   (05.15.06)
you said "international community's moderate stance" so tell me Mr O Bright One, why are you so concerned with the EU or others moderate stance. You only have to look at your own backyard and our leaders. Why dont you scream from the roof tops about the huge danger Israel is facing by retreating, retreating and retreating. Our Government and leaders are 10 times worse then Chamberlin, at least Chamberlin wasnt negotiating away half his country and capital! Did I say negotiating away? Silly me not through negotiation but outright retreat and surrender, waving the white flag before the battle has even commenced. Theres ironically only one consolation Israels retreats offer and that is bringing one hell of a war upon herself, forcing her to vanquish her enemies once and for all...if she can survive the onslaught.
10. The rest of the world prefers
John ,   NZ   (05.15.06)
the Americans do the dirty job. After all, the Americans are capable and the EU countries are more interested in Iran's oil than their WMD. World events in the coming years will be grave.
11. Repetition
yakov shani ,   israel   (05.15.06)
I find it neccessary to once again recall the words of Churchill to Chamberlain on his return from Munchen. "YOU WENT TO HITLER WITH THE CHOICE OF PEACE OR WAR, YOU SIR, CHOSE PEACE, BUT YOU SHALL HAVE WAR". It will happen again.
12. Algerian Pres:IMMIGRANTS Come NOT AS FRIENDS, but to CONQUER
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (05.15.06)
We are in the third world war of global jihad. The nations are not fighting back. “In 1974 [Algerian President] Boumedienne, spoke before the General Assembly of the United Nations: ‘One day millions of men will leave the southern hemisphere of this planet to burst into the northern one. But not as friends. Because they will burst in to conquer, and they will conquer by populating it with their children. Victory will come to us from the wombs of our women.’ ”
13. exhausted comparisons.
shai ,   T-A   (05.15.06)
Could you, for once, avoid chest banging and making always the same comparison (i.e Munich). The palestinians can hurt us mais they don't threaten our survival. We are infinitely more powerful than they are. By refusing to give up terror, they commit political suicide and allow us to pursuit freely our own objectives.
14. Read this and weep
Scott ,   Haifa   (05.15.06)
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=50206 Israel is being rebuked by an Arab Christian who has more moral clarity than most of the Jewish State (or at least of our leadership).
15. #3 you moron

He's not talking about Palestinians, he's pretty much talking about any Arab OTHER than Palestinians. Didn't you read??
16. Practice your Marksmanship
dave kafir ,   dallas texas usa   (05.15.06)
Yes we all know the jihad is coming, so be ready to send the jihadis to allah. Get out your long guns and practice practice practice. Follow the example of the "Camp Lejune 72 Virgins Introduction Squad" in Iraq and be able to supress multiple targets quickly at 500 yard ranges. See how they put down jihadis like shooting fish in a barrel, and head shots are common. You will need a semiauto .308 battle rifle with a decent CQB optic like the trijicon ACOG. The jihadis in iraq have learned not to fight the americans anymore because they get killed quickly. jihad denied.
17. have no fear Amir Peretz is here
Moshe ,   Beit Shemesh   (05.15.06)
18. Jihad Tsunami
Brod ,   Marshall, USA   (05.15.06)
General Farkash is right on target in his analysis of Jihad Tsunami. Equally, important is a speech made by General Ya'alon reported by Israeliinsider. General Ya'alon was brilliant in his analysis pertaining to a wider conflict posed by the Gaza withdrawal, unilateralism and a two-state proposal. He argues that it would be better for Israel to confront Arab Islamist terrorisms head on rather than pursuing a policy that rewards terrorisms and would only lead to War because Arab Islamist terrorists would continue to attack Israel since they perceive that they will be rewarded with more withdrawal by Israel in the face of terrorist attacks. It is time the government listens to the wise advise of their Generals and stops pursuing a misguided policy that is based on fantasy and illusion that will only endanger the security and existence of Israel and lead to war in the future. It is more important to focus their eyes on the Jihad Tsunami and the Iran nuke threat because these are the immediate serious threats to the security and existence of Israel.
19. # 9 Yisraeli - I would start calling Israel...
keren ,   sao paulo   (05.15.06)
..."HE" rather than "SHE"(at least for now!)
20. Scott,# 14 -It is very worth reading your suggested site.
keren ,   sao paulo   (05.15.06)
21. Scott #14 A Must Read Article
Brod ,   Marshall, USA   (05.15.06)
I would agree with you that the article by Joseph Farah in worldnetdaily.com is a Must Read for all Israelis and their government. Farah is brilliant. He is right on target in his analysis of the issue. His article is also a Must Read for all Americans. His concern is also echoed by the wise counsels of Israeli Generals.

Your very interesting, so right post inspired mine. Thank you, Daniel.
23. Global Tsunami
latina ,   Central Amer.   (05.16.06)
What's surpising about that? I's overdue what with the cia using it in Nicaragua El Salvador, Honduras, Haiti,Venezuela, , Argentina, Venezuela, Central asia,India, China Pakistan and now Iran - The nefarious, reprehensible, we don't need "Odious Olmert" to tell us. ANd the Tsunami is being helped along by the Mossad also. YOu newspapers only print the opinion favorable to you, eh?
24. Scott 14 and Brod 21, that article is rediculous...
Mohammad   (05.16.06)
...and so are both of you. Israel is a democracy, is it not? And the Israeli people voted for a government that they *knew* was going to disengage from the West Bank. Scott, if you don't like how secular Israel is and can't accept that, move away. And Brod if you don't like USA's support from pulling out of Palestinian territory then move away. If Israel doesn't disengage then it doesn't do what the people want, and that's hardly a democracy.
25. Just as long as we watch for dancers by vans
Cadavre ,   US   (05.16.06)
We'll be okay - the fox be the finder, the stink lie behind her.
26. Mohammad
Scott ,   Haifa   (05.16.06)
Thank you for your suggestion, but I'm staying. You may be right, that the Israeli people voted for a government that they *knew* was going to disengage from the West Bank - but I didn't. That's because the majority are deceived. They argue amongst themselves as to what to do. I'm not even sure if you live here or not. If you do, we are going to have to learn to live here together, because I'm not going anywhere, and there are many Arabs who are not going anywhere either. So, we will have to agree to disagree until God sorts it out (but not under your rule, because I am not an Islamic, and do not choose to be, and no one is forcing you to become a Jew). God, our God...the God of Israel, has promised this land to His Jewish people as an everlasting covenant.
27. the God of Israel, has promised this land to His Jewish peop
Frank ,   NZ   (05.16.06)
As if that were any justification - BESIDES, the actual text you refer to only includes descendents of Abraham in the Land Grab - and most of the Jews who are making trouble are Ashkenazi, and NOT genetic Jews at all. God, if there were one, does not hand out Real Estate... I can't believe that anyone still uses this piece of superstitious mumbo anymore. Torah-true Jews recognize that Jews have no homeland, nor are allowed one, until their God returns... so back off, all of you.
28. Frank - Your problem is obvious
Scott ,   Haifa   (05.16.06)
Your editorial is not really worth responding to...but for the sake of clarity I see your problem: "God, if there were one, does not hand out Real Estate" You don't even believe in God. If you don't even believe in God, what's the point of using the term "Torah-true Jews" - who are Torah true Jews? Are you talking about the Ultra-Orthodox?
29. There's no sense arguing with you Frank
Scott ,   Haifa   (05.16.06)
I could show you scripture after scripture of God's promise to the decendents of Abraham, Issac and Jacob, that He made an everlasting covenant to give them the land of Caanan...but if you don't believe in the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob, then it is pointless. Everyone has a god Frank...if it's not the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob, then they are worshipping idols.
