3. Europe only interested how to make money with Arabs and Iran
Gabrielle Goldwater ,   Geneva Switzerland   (05.20.06)
always has been - always will be that's why they wanted Saddam in place in Iraq - and the UN part of this scheme that's why the Europeans love the UN - it's their tool against America and their tool to the money maker
4. this hatred is boring
john ,   london   (05.20.06)
Once more, this negociation is conducted with the full support of the Us and of Israel. The discussion between the EU/3 and the US is on the content of the offer not on its principle. There is no confrontation but a normal discussion bertween allies.

7. You're mostly wrong, #4 (john)
sk ,   USA   (05.21.06)
John, the fact is that the Bush administration has been trying to paper over a real difference between the EU and the US. What happens is that Bush publicly blesses the concept of negotiation involving Euros & Iran without believing in it. In addition, "the content of the offer," on which which you acknowledge the difference between the EU and the US, is certainly a crucial thing, isn't it? And make no mistake: Iran is mighty unpopular in the US, for good reason. Unlike Europe, which has basically disarmed, the US has a military option. Bush could easily make the case for it, and even some of my lefty friends would go along.
8. take another piece of our hearts please
alan ,   frisco   (05.21.06)
The Iranians are listening to Jannis the Joplin. they want to eat one more piece of our hearts after they have eaten the first piece they will never be satisfied, no many how many hearts they eat. Obviously, the EU diplofools who are continuing to offer Iran many more hearts, so long as it is not their own, have not heard Jannis recently or they would realize the futility of their game of appeasement. The Persians have oppressed their Kurdish population for centuries. The Persian cat is hunting for big game. Time to neuter it before it scores.
9. EU should not meddle
Brod ,   USA   (05.21.06)
EU should not meddle in Israel affairs. They are pro Israel's enemies and therefore Israel cannot depend on EU especially on matters that pertain to existential threat to Israel.
