31. JOAN # 24 LEARN ABOUT THE STARS IN ISRAELI ID'S
FACTS REMINDER ,   JERUSALEM.   (05.20.06)
THE NUMBER OF STARS IN THE NATIONAL ORIGIN/RELIGION FIELD IN THE ISRAELI ID BE IT FOR CITIZENS OR NON-CITIZENS WILL GIVE AN INDICATION OF ORIGIN/RELIGION. ISNT THAT RACISM AND DISCRIMINATION IN A HIDDEN WAY?
32. #23: Persian CAT on catnip
sk ,   USA   (05.20.06)
The fact is, my dear cat, that the Iranian president does indeed sound a lot like Hitler, and if he does not murder Iranian Jews, that is probably because they are great PR for him. Still, half of the Jews have left the place (many seem to be in Beverly Hills). This FACT has little to do with the average Iranian on the street. However, if you think your "president" represents you, you have besmirched the typical Iranian much more than others here have.
33. #16 so you think the dhimmi system is fair??
Jonathan Levi ,   Jerusalem Israel   (05.20.06)
You write that the minorities pay higher taxes and in return they get excluded from military service (an oppertune chance for all the religions to serve their country and forge understandings of each other). You write that the minorities as a result of paying higher taxes get to worship their religion freely (you would honestly assume that worship is a right for everyone and that to pay for your religion is wrong). You lastly write "in my opinion it seems like a fair trade off" (I'm glad you put the disclaimer "in my opinion"). Your opinion isin't shared by this Jews who is a descendant of dhimmi's (go look the word up if you have trouble understanding arabic Hamzee)

35. #22 My compliments!!
CLL ,   Tampa, FL USA   (05.20.06)
Just how do we get rid of the worst president ever? He seems to just go on and on shouting his stupid, naive anti-American stuff and of course the left just eats it up! Thanks to his work in N. Korea, they now have a dozen nukes instead of the 1 and yet he never learns he is WRONG, WRONG, WRONG!! Obviously he and his ilk would sell out Israel in a second for some lame promise from Iran's mad mullah's to play nice. I'll ask forgiveness for this is not Christian but I sorely wish the idiot would die.

Jeremiah ,   USA   (05.20.06)
You're right. It didn't materialize from nowhere. It came from the neo-con fever swamps in an effort to push the the anglo nations of the west to go to war against Iran. http://www.dailykos.com/story/2006/5/19/16425/0620
37. please, Enough! go do something useful
noah ,   l.a.   (05.20.06)
Two main points , as an american international law student, we have to take a three course on code law , and one on islamic, chinese, and the english legal system as inherited by her now independent ex-colonies. To clairfy, unless my prof. has been b.s.ing us, Iran actually has a legal system based on swiss code law which uses references to sharia, but is not sharia. And secondly, enough with this israeli nonsense, you embarass jews in the west everytime you overact to every bit of baiting from god knows who and more importantly in nations like iran, you seriously risk raising the spector of the very thing you claim to want to prevent. It's bad enough you insult every tradition of judaism with your "material" persecution of the palestinians, now must you risk returning the world to the horrors of 1941. israel is a very powerful country and i'm sure it can take care of itself, but israel is also a country that has turned it's back on the teachings of Moses and for that i worry.

39. Iran's Plans to Have Infidels Wear Marks
foreign devil ,   Toronto, Canada   (05.20.06)
In one of the three different stories in the National Post, the most recent of which stated that the story was not true, nevertheless noted that the Simon Wiesenthal Center had checked the story and had heard the same things. Who would you believe? The Iranian Ambassador to Canada or the Simon Wiesenthal Centre? I know who I'd believe. If Iran is denying this now it's only because they've realized it's a step too far and will wait till the furor dies down. If Iran can execute a teenage girl for being raped and thus losing her virginity, they can certainly pin tails on donkeys, so to speak. A yellow badge or a blue or red one is no stretch to this bunch of thugs.
40. #6 Kate Thanks for FACTS! JEWS have ALWAYS Been PERSECUTED
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (05.20.06)
The suffering of the Jewish people has been horrendous at the hands of evil ones who even commit terrible crimes against Jews in the name of G-D. Genocides; blood libels; crusades; pogroms; vicious lies; murder; deportations; inquisitions. Culminating in the Holocaust. Men are fighting with all their might for their kingdom of violence and massive idol worship of 'power and control' to go on forever. The very essence of Judaism - Deuteronomy 6:4, is for all time and eternity, but it is rejected by men who seek to replace the greatest scripture with another teaching. The greatest scripture: Hebrew Bible, Deuteronomy 6:4: "Hear, O Israel! The L-RD is our G-d, the L-RD is One! You shall love the L-RD your G-d with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might." Because the Jews have never, and will never give up their committment and love for G-D, and obedience to G-D's Laws, Jews have endured horrific persecution and mass murder for thousands of years. By both word and deed, Jews faithful to G-D, have always shown how very great, and how totally good G-D is. Jews bring honor to G-D's name.

I guess the publicity was bad so they had to retract. I believe the original story because it fits very well with the rest of the hate

Nothing was against the Iranian people as a whole. It is against Spawn of Chucky who is running your country into the abyss. He is like Hitler, only potentially with nuclear weapons. He is a sick fuck. Rise up and rid yourselves of him before it is too late.

Number 15 Just briefly I would like to clear up the misconception that anti-Semitism is not the same as anti-Jewish. Just look at the word Semitism is a group of languages and has nothing to so with religion. So if someone is anti-Semitic then they would be against the Semitic languages including Hebrew and Arabic. It seems that this word has been monopolized to refer to Jews alone. Number 17 There are two main flaws in your argument "and in the middle ages, according to Omar's laws, dimmis (ahel al kitab, protectorates) wore external identification marks, Jews wore yellow badges " Firstly this is absolutely false Omar did not impose such a ridicules law I am not sure where you got your information from but you should double check your sources" Secondly the Iranian regime is a Shia one and therefore rejects the rule of the Caliphs before Ali which include Omar's making it very unlikely that they would strive to implement laws that he put into place. Number 21 "Hamzee, the SHAH controlled Iran prior to the mad mullahs" I should have known that some narrow-minded person with no knowledge of history would make such a statement so let me clarify. During WWII the British and Russians invaded Iran in 1941. They attempted to install a puppet regime which was a failed attempt at first but later in 1953 they were successful in their attempt. These were the times of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi whom the US and UK instated into power. That’s why the US and UK cut relationships with Iran after the Islamic revelation because they overthrow the person whom they put into power. So as you can see you were the one wrong on that point and not me. Number 33 "You write that the minorities pay higher taxes and in return they get excluded from military service (an oppertune chance for all the religions to serve their country and forge understandings of each other)." This is an interesting point that you make but you have to remember that the Dhimmi system was not made to be implemented into the nationalist society that we see today. You are correct that today it would be an honor to fight for your nation but this was not so years ago. In fact the Islamic empire was never one nation. I don't know of anyone who would want to fight in order to expand a religion different from there own. There was no country then the Muslims were fighting for their religion not their country. " You write that the minorities as a result of paying higher taxes get to worship their religion freely (you would honestly assume that worship is a right for everyone and that to pay for your religion is wrong)." Yes this is true in the society that we live in today but it was not always so. Historically the Islamic empire was the first to let people chose their religion and practice it freely. Also you seem to forget the most important aspect of dhimmi rule and that is the fact the they are not required to follow laws intended for Muslims. In fact they can judge people of their own religion in their own courts in accordance to their own laws which is a privilege not even allowed in the most modern of western countries today. Number 37 "To clairfy, unless my prof. has been b.s.ing us, Iran actually has a legal system based on swiss code law which uses references to sharia, but is not sharia." I am glad that you brought up this point and you are absolutely correct. It is important to note that Iran can never actually implement true Sharia law because they are Shia and reject many narrations of the Prophet (PBUH) because of the political afflation of the narrator.

what fools you are. of course it's true.
49. We'll know in the end
Chai ,   U.S.A.   (05.22.06)
whether it is true or not. Hopefully, for the sake of the 25,000+ Iranian Jews remaining there, I would we would have believed moreso that it were true and had done something to get them out of there for safety's sake. The darker outcome is obvious. But for those who find it difficult to pinpoint: G-d forbid we would have believed it were NOT true nor POSSIBLE and they were slaughtered. In that awful case, we could hardly look down upon those in history who were also negligent. BTW, Rwanda, Darfur, Cambodia ...you name it, we were still doubting that "it were happening."

I don't see that what the Nazis did, depriving life to millions of people, is in any way comparable to requiring Palestinians to carry ID cards, justly or not. Making illogical arguments closes the door to any discourse that might lead to resolution of different viewpoints. Further, if some people with purple palms wanted to kill English civilians and, in fact, had already killed thousands, don't you think that anyone entering England would have to take their gloves off first?
