1. Don't Sell Our Solders OUT
Sam Weinstein ,   USA   (05.22.06)
Don't Sell Our Solders OUT. Don't be a UK Puppet. Don't destroy the confidence in the Goverment by the soldiers.
2. to Sam Weinstein
Tyrant ,   Israel   (05.22.06)
If one of our soldiers commits a crime he shouldnt be confident about it, he is a stain to the IDF and should be locked in jail. (I dont know anything about these cases but im speaking in general)
3. Enter a war zone
Arie   (05.22.06)
And you accept certain risks! THE IDF soldiers will not be persecuted by the brits, who have a well-known history of allegience to anti-Semitic visions.
4. YNet: that is not a picture of Tom Hurndall
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (05.23.06)
Brilliant journalism shining through again. Last time I checked, Israel was a sovereign nation and not part of a mandate belonging to the British Empire. UK citizens who visit a war zone and enable the enemy put themselves at risk. There have been UK citizens murdered in terrorist attacks on Israeli buses and cafes, are the Brits going to demand Hamas be turned over to them?
5. Britain should sue Hamass.
Daisy ,   USA   (05.23.06)
Their the ones who knew there were civilians when they shot back at the IDF. Plus Tom Hurndall was a member of Hamass and helped their operations. Israel did nothing wrong and Britain hould be ashamed of themselves.
6. To Tyrant
Sam Weinstein ,   USA   (05.23.06)
What I am saying is that the goverment would be selling out Israeli Soldiers if a foreign country was allowed to arrest and imprison a soldier who was doing duty inside of Israel. These people who died were people that should not have been there in a War Zone.
7. To Tyrant Pat duex
Sam Weinstein ,   USA   (05.23.06)
He cames also as a Human Shield and he suffered the consiquences of being in that war zone he became a participant. I don't feel sorry at all.
8. Kneeling to the Brits
Jack Hunter ,   Melb Aus   (05.23.06)
You are not a british colony,so tell the brits to eff off.Israel has its own judicial system, and is second to none.Show some backbone for heavens sake. He became what he wanted to be... A Martyr...... Its enough that one soldier has already been sacrificed to political expediency.
9. Trials were nothing more than arab appeasement
Bunnie Meyer ,   Santa Monica, CA   (05.23.06)
10. collateral damage
chai ,   Canada   (05.23.06)
so sorry .. but what was he doing there?? oh ya covering a war zone ..grow up he got what happens too many
11. Start the investigation of the British terrorist network
Roger ,   USA   (05.23.06)
which dispatched the British terrorists to Israel. They murdered innocent Jews at a night club in Tel Aviv.
12. #5 Do you expect anything decent from the vile Brits?
Anne ,   USA   (05.23.06)
Look at the record of that nasty land!
13. They can shove their prosecution where the sun don't shine
Adamush ,   UK   (05.23.06)
I hope they tell them so, too.
14. War crimes?
jason white ,   afula,israel   (05.23.06)
What about thelimies turning back Jews trying to enter palestine in WWII? How many ships were lost? How many lives could have been saved? What about the brits not bombing the rail lines to the concentration camps? They knew what was going on. This is not to mention what they did in africa, asia, ect.War crimes is a big part of the history of the limies. The fact that this regime even talks about this with the limies shows what cowards sit in govt. Keep your filthy hides out of this area and get killed back in englarabia.
15. Justice NOW for the victims
Ellen Prescott ,   Southsea, Hampshire   (05.23.06)
of the Israeli murderers. Two gorgeous English men, shot to death by envious Israeli maniacs. ISRAEL: Comply with the international community and extradite your murderers to Britain where they can face a fair trial and hopefully be sent to prison for life! My condolences to the families of the victims. Your sons died fighting for human rights. If there was such thing as an honourable death/martyrdom, that is how they died. Justice for the victims!
16. Snotty Ellen, if I tried to post something similar to what
Judith ,   Haifa   (05.23.06)
you wrote on the BBC it wouldn't be accepted. I tried posting no- violent comments and was rejected twice for just expressing my opinion, which the blatant anti-Israeli BBC couldn't handle - hypocrites. Is that why you come here with your vile mouth? Here you are allowed real freedom of expression, one that I am denied in england. If it were up to me I'd send you packing.
17. UK Arrogance and Hypocracy, Israeli justice
Andy ,   Israel   (05.23.06)
As an Israeli soldier I say our army should arrest and prosecute any of our soldiers who deliberately shoot innocent civilians even if they are stupid naive Britons who deliberately put themselves in harms way. Britain should keep its nose out. They should concentrate on their own issues such as prosecuting the policemen who deliberately shot dead the Brazilian student on the Tube last year, not to mention the British soldiers involved in massacres in Iraq. Not a single soldier was prosecuted after the many outrages in the Irish dispute such as the deaths in Gibraltar or the Bloody Sunday murders. Meanwhile thousands get murdered in Darfur whilst the UK and its Security Council partners do zilch...
18. Tom Hurndall
Israeli ,   Israel   (05.23.06)
Tom Hurndall was no peace activist. He was a militant of the ISM group. This group is a terror support organization working with Hamas and Islamic Jihad to assist terror. It reject a two state solution and supports the ethnic cleansing of all jews from ALL of Israel. This organization hosted the two British bombers who undertook the Mike's Place bombing amongst other crimes ISM has never claimed to be a peace group. Why is Ynet publishing that this man was a peace activist? This organization is directly resposible for aiding and abetting of terrorists. I demand a correction of this article. I am a surgeon and I operated on the mutilated from the Mike's Place bomb at Ichilov and it is an insult to the murdered victims to refer to such activities as peacefull.
19. I apologise on behalf of sane British people
Rob ,   UK   (05.23.06)
Most parents grieve in private if they lose a loved one, but it seems that Hamastinians and their supporters are only too willing to whore themselves for the camera. There's probably some money in it too.
20. #15 Talking about justice
NTI ,   Red Chili   (05.23.06)
I was wondering what you do mean by WHERE THEY CAN FACE A FAIR TRIAL AND HOPEFULLY BE SENT TO PRISON FOR LIFE! You are simply as twisted and warped as any mahathirs, hababis and ahmeds. Within the same sentence you wanted a fair trial and looking forward to have him imprisoned for life (when any possible criminal intend hasn't been established). Where is your sense of fairness, you sounded like a muslim... doubletalk and can't hide your hatred, such hypocrite. Shame on you. My advice to you is this, convert to islam at the next available Friday. If not, you are also a candidate for their lawful throat slitting sessions if they take over your country. I believe by then they will have an English version of their lovey dovey allah akbar songs that they will be singing into you ears. Do enjoy.
21. Ellen Prescott - don't reply to this antagonist.
Sivan ,   Tel-Aviv   (05.23.06)
Ficticious name. "Prescott"? isn't that the name of the disgraced British politician. How convenient. Southport? my foot.
22. No interference
Brod ,   USA   (05.23.06)
Israel should never allow another country interfering with its internal affairs. Just because a person is a British citizen does not mean anything. A foreigner who goes to Israel and roams around with enemies of Israel and exposes himself in a dangerous firing zone is responsible for his own death. In fact, Israel should never allow any foreigner to step foot in Israel if that person is harmful to the interest and image of Israel.
23. Shooting of Miller
Wallace Edward Brand ,   Alexandria, VA USA   (05.23.06)
It is undisputed that Miller was shot in the back while facing the Israeli position.
24. Not the right way to grieve
Jack Hunter ,   Melb Aus   (05.23.06)
Using his death as a weapon to beat Israel,is the pits. This whole thing stinks now that they have decided to politicize it. And ofcourse money doesnt come into it. Send this lord whatever his name is that they sent to israel.Send him packing to Iraq to investigate the murderous British soldiers over there.
25. To Brod USA - well said.
Sivan ,   Tel-Aviv   (05.23.06)
26. Tom
Adam ,   Poland   (05.23.06)
Tom, very brave, loving and sensitive young man, was shot while he was shepherding children to safety in Rafah. A group of 20 children was playing on a mound near the border when the Israeli soldiers, as it was in their routine habit, started firing above the heads and between the feet of these children. Later the photographs made at that very moment shown some of them frozen to the spot in terror. Another photos shown the children fleeing from the shooting. Tom was there to save them. He wore an orange jacket, characteristic for the activists from the Solidarity Movement visible from far away. Millions of people in many countries have seen the documentary about Tom in that very place, before and after shooting. Later the Israeli Army claimed that there was a single shot – the shot that fatally wounded Tom Hurndall. How many children were shot dead for fun in similar circumstances? More: http://www.tomhurndall.co.uk/ PS: Thank you Yedioth for presenting to the world such interesting points of view above ))) Shalom
27. We should sue Britain!
gabriela ben ari ,   jerusalem   (05.23.06)
For having sent a "useful " reporter to war zone, thus putting us into the trouble of having to sort away who is a suspicios arab and who is an amnesty/ machsom watch/european sucker in the middle of the mess
28. Contination: But I'm sorry for this reporter too
gabriela ben ari ,   jerusalem   (05.23.06)
29. British citizens who committed murder in T.A.
Joel ,   New York, USA   (05.23.06)
In 2003 two British citizens (Muslims of course) committed murder at Mike's Place Bar in Tel Aviv. How about Israel suing Britain?
