its interesting that fares wants walls to be taken down, yet wants jerusalem to be divided again. if jerusalem is divided there will be a big ugly wall going down the middle of the city like under the jordanians. and once again jews and christians will not be able to reach their holy sites. that is what fares is saying. walls israel builds are bad, walls arabs build are good.

I don't think you have paid much attention to anything in the last 60 years. The Jews will have Jerusalem. That is not a negotiating point. All the arabs want is Jerusalem. I can't imagine why they would want it. The only reasn i can think of is that if muslims have Jerusalem, it means the Jews don't and then you are happy. You just want what Jews have only because Jews have it, not cos you really want it. Admit it.

As usual, obviously, none of the people here cares to see the reality beyond the slogans : to go to east jerusalem, to Sala'Eldin st, for instance and to see that Jerusalem IS DIVIDED. Anyone who thinks otherwise has never been east of the Damascus Gate. Example : A (Jewish) friend recently had a nightmare trying to get a diplomatic colleague, who had had a serious heart attack, transfered from a hospital in East J'lem to the West. The two health systems dont talk to each other - it is in practice 2 different countries. West J'lem taxis wouldnt go to the east and the east J'lem hospital didnt have an ambulance ("security reasons").
