You say that Israel is boycotted because it is doing something wrong, I assume by this you mean the 'occupation' and military activities undertaken by the IDF. Israel simply defends itself, it may use methods which are unpleasant (as all violence is) but when one has to make life and death decisions there is not always the possibility of picking the fluffy and cuddly option where no-one gets hurt. I am unsure why Israel defending itself is 'wrong', can you please explain to me what Israel does that is wrong and I don't mean isolated incidents but rather general policies. I know you may mention the occupation but think the issue surrounding the Arab-Israeli conflict are so complex that they deserve more consideration that simple labels of right and wrong. I think most Jews complain of anti-semitism because they think those who advocate Israeli passivity in the face of Palestinian aggression and can find any justification for violence against jews probably don't like Jews very much.

I personally have reached the conclusion that we shouldn't give into these bullying tactics that are bloated with double-standards, hypocrisy and twisting and distortion of facts. They have refused to co-exist in the first place with Palestine which makes them no better than the Palestinians who refuse to let Israel exist. As a "rank and file" member of CUPE Ontario, I can assure everyone here, including those in Israel, that this absurd one-sided resolution does not have the unanimous support of the membership. In fact, a number of us within the union do not intend to take this lying down and are currently exploring all remedies available to us.

Boycott means that universities in Britain and Canada will treat Israel as terrorist nation. I think most of professors and lecturers at universities and colleges in US and Canadian universities are anti-semitic with deep rooted institutional racism.
