1. Israel threatened to bomb Beirut
RF ,   Israel   (05.29.06)
So what's the problem? They bomb us - we bomb them tenfold. It's time for Lebanon to take responsibilty for what happens on their soil.
2. Israel tolerates 13,000 Hizbollah Missles ,WHY ?
Marcel ,   Florida   (05.29.06)
A weak and timid Israel allows 13,000 + Irnainian missles aimed at every city from thje area of South Lebvanon which they cowardly retreated from assuming WRONGLY AGAIN that it would bring peace. Only Stupid people assume that shows of weakness bring peace. Why has Israel not REMOVED the threat from Hizbollah in South Lebanon ? answer ,because she is ruled by weak cowardly and tired leaders who have given up and no longer want to defeat their avowed enemies.
3. One wonders if the Hizbullah have any ...
Edan ,   Beer Sheva   (05.29.06)
Brains at all.... Do they not expect retaliation? And where does the IDF retaliate? In THEIR villages! Are they just making a balagan for the sake of making a balagan? Do they even have an agenda? When will they go back to Syria, where they came from? I hope Syria eats @#%$ for their warmongering
4. Use the same formula on Gaza!

5. If Israel want calm it must stop MURDERING arab leaders in..
Franck   (05.29.06)
.. Lebanon. If the israeli 'security' establishment believe that killng a Islamic Djihad leader in Beirut will lead to security for the israeli cictizens, they are making a huge mistake. Violence appeals violence.

This is such garbage. The Arabs must be made to understand that they will pay the ultimate price for their terror against Israel & Jews, whereever they are. They can run but they can't hide.
8. Marcel - Put a sock in it!
Edan ,   Beer Sheva   (05.29.06)
No one wants to hear your evangelical propoganda bullshit
9. Rick, you speak like Al Quaeda
Franck   (05.29.06)
put the word jew in the place of arab and you've got an al zarkaoui statement.
10. Great comment, Dan, to the point!

Steven ,   London   (05.29.06)
Only thing is that Israel is forced to defend itself day in-day out from mass murderers. Al Quaeda are the mass murderers who commit the atrocities. Same as Hamas, Hezbolla and the best peace partner we have, the PLO.

Rick's statement is very dangerous. This is a confession that Israelis look for killing people around. Have you ever heard of international laws? If Israel has evidences on any of the guys on the assassination list, then the interpole can do some work here. Why cannot we work in a civic way. Why we always let the Mossad control our international relations? By the way do we really think that bombing Beirut will come at no cost? And why on Earth would we do that? We started this escalation on the Northern borders. We shall be happy that we have Hezbollah on our borders. I am sure if any other armed group is there, cease fire would not be that easy to reach.

" We shall be happy that we have Hezbollah on our borders." Have you G-d forbid been in an accident and banged your head? I suggest that you take a few moments to let yourself recover. You are making no sense. That entire post was complete rubbish.
14. Israel is right
Brod ,   USA   (05.29.06)
Isreal is doing the right thing to defend herself. A country that allows lawlessness and terrorists to thrive and operate freely to attack Israel is fully responsible for the outcome that will befall on her. However, the Lebanese government may be impotent in cleansing Lebanon of the terrorists. The latter may have more arms and bigger forces than the Lebanese army. In such a scenario, Israel would have to target the terrorists that are firing those Katyushas at her.

You think that my post is complete rubbish. So you agree with the assassination of the two men in Lebanon last Friday I suppose. Tell me how on Earth does that help the country? The same old story is repeating itself. Mossad killing people around the Globe and Palestinian groups retaliating. STOP this insanity for G-d's sake. Hezbollah is acting now as a police for our Northern borders and that is why we should be happy. When the borders were controlled by the Lebanese government in the past, it was a complete chaos. Now at least these guys do not initiate attacks. I propose that we do not initiate attacks too and everything would be fine. I am sure if Hezbollah is not watching our Northern borders, we would have Palestinian suicide bombers all the time. A smart enemy is better than a stupid friend.

brags- Alan ,   SA   (05.29.06)
What are you talking such nonsense for.?
17. Who is the terrorist?
Ayman ,   Lebanon,Beirut   (05.29.06)
Who started killing?isn't Israel started killing...for that missles where shot on Israeli trretories! Israel is playing a wrong game with Hizbullah and Palastenians, Israel is making the wordly comments on her instead of making stand with her...in lebanon.., WHERE IS HUMANITY IN ISRAELI POLICY??!!
18. The Real Threat !!
Abraham ,   San Francisco, CA   (05.29.06)
Was it really Hizbollah or Syria and Iran who support them. how does the process of supplying those terrorsits with missles happen. where is the sattelites tecnology to track and prevent desasters into our norhtern borders. why dont we nuke syria or iran.??? Lebanon is an small idiot country who cannot control the flow of crap and junkies coming from syria and iran. Shoot the head the body will collapse.
19. Re: 15 - How does it help the country?
Steven ,   London   (05.30.06)
What do you suggest my fellow londoner? When the next bomb goes off in Israel should we stand still and allow our people to be slowly exterminated, or should we take the other option and the onethat makes sense. It is not ideal, but when someone is trying to kill you, you must kill them first. We should not be happy if Hezbollah is acting as a police for the northern borders. They may be strong but they are vicious. It is not a positive thing that a terrorist group are policing our northern border. Suggesting that Hezbollah does not initiate attacks is just unbelievable, then suggesting that Israel is initiating attacks on Hezbollah is twisting the truth. You are the man who makes good evil and evil good. "I am sure if Hezbollah is not watching our Northern borders, we would have Palestinian suicide bombers all the time. A smart enemy is better than a stupid friend." What about a stupid friend (aka. you) AND a smart enemy?
20. Re: 17 - Humanity
Steven ,   London   (05.30.06)
Where is the humanity in Israeli policy? Everywhere! We refuse to allow mass murderers to get away with killing our citizens day in and day out. That is humanity. Doing nothing is disgusting. Ask yourself, where is the "humanity" in blowing up a school bus or targetting civilians in a restaurant etc etc?

Dear Steven. I understand your angusih but I do not understand a personal insult like the one you did. I prefer that you do not make such public comments. Please, forward all your insults to my email: londonecho@hotmail.co.uk Firstly, by a stupid friend I meant the helpless Lebanese government that could be a friend one day without its ability to control the borders. And the smart enemy is Hezbollah that understands the rules. Secondly, the assassination dilemma is useless. It is also despicable according to all human values. Mossad has carried out several assassinations against Palestinians and Arabs worldwide. What is the result? Are we able to stop civilian killings inside Israel? NO. The reason is that we have failed to understand how to send signs of goodwill to our neighbours. Why would we carry out an assassination inside Lebanon unless we really want Hezbollah to explode the borders? Let us leave Lebanon alone. The Northern villages have been living in peace since May 2000 and they are not scared of Hezbollah because they trust its intentions. You should ask them to know that. They also trust IDF. But nobody trusts the Mossad and its international games. We had suffered enough and we want to live in peace.

Why this was only a report and not a fact I do not understand.
23. an eye for an eye..
lynne   (05.31.06)
I dont see how Israelis attack Lebanon and expect the Lebanese to sit and watch .. If Israelis want peace they've got to show real intentions and work for it.. but due to the Israeli double standard mentalitiy they expect to attack any country ..anytime.. and recieve applauds and cheers on their crimes.. Israel is the occupying force in the Middle East and naturally there should be resistance forces against Israel.. when Hizbollah attack Israel they are not attacking civilians because the Israeli citizens are there for political reasons which means they are not innocent citizens....
