"The Palestinians don't even know which entity speaks for them." and YOU, Robby, know about the Palestinians more than they know about themselves... Maybe livining in denial have gotten to you, "or just plain bigotry - aren't you being just a bit egotistical? "
32. Palestinians are never crying for peace
(06.01.06)
just crying to kill the jews
33. Facts exposed: Jews chased from Arab countries
Gabrielle Goldwater ,   Geneva Switzerland   (06.01.06)
Resolutions introduced in the U.S. Congress call for any reference to Palestinian refugees to be matched by similar references to Jewish and other refugees. http://www.jta.org/page_view_breaking_story.asp?intid=2887&ref=daily_briefing The bipartisan resolutions, introduced May 25, were sponsored by four senators and four representatives, as well as Justice for Jews From Arab Countries, an organization that seeks rights for Jews displaced from Arab lands. According to the organization, the number of Jewish refugees from Arab countries far surpasses the number of Palestinians who became refugees in 1948.
34. #31 Ellen - Please stick to the question
Robby ,   San Jose, USA   (06.01.06)
Who does speak for the Palestinians? The Al Quds Brigade? The PA? Hamas? Al Qaeda? You? The point being this article is about Al Quds Brigade, but they are not elected. They can not sign a peace treaty for the Palestinians anymore then your "British Education Department" can sign a treaty for Britain. You claim the Palestinians are "crying for peace", but their elected officials, Hamas is not. Hamas is calling for the destruction of Israel, not peace. So I repeat - WHO DOES REPRESENT THE PALESTINIANS?
35. #18 peace is impossible
Sam ,   Montreal, Canada   (06.01.06)
Understand my fellow Montrealer, Mohammad-Ali .Those Israelis who do want peace (the majority) are able to control those who don't want it. Palestinians under Arafat, Abbas and Hamas leadership have not shown a willingnes to control the Palestinians who don't want peace and their violence prevents any negotiations for peace.
36. Ellen #20 - DEAD wrong
howard ,   pacific coast, usa   (06.02.06)
There are definitely Palestinians who want peace, but they are NOT rallying for it. They are rallying for other things, and NOT calling for peace at those rallies. They are calling for the destruction of Israel, they are calling for the Jews to be driven out, they are calling for Israel to give them stuff, they are calling for G-d to avenge the terrorists who have died, they are calling for their domestic opponents to resign or surrender, and they are calling for what they consider to be "justice". But at the PA sponsored rallies , the one thing they are NOT calling for is peace. You are wrong about "the only solution". You are advocating the destruction of Israel, and Israel will not let that happpen. Parts of what you called for are reasonable, but the last is a non-starter and you know it. Jews will not be able to recover what was stolen from them in the Arab world, and Palestinians who got out of the way of the armies will not beable to return, unless it is in some one for one deal. The wall won't come down until the terrorist attacks end. It's a very easy thing. The withdrawal to something like the green line is appropriate but unless the PA commits to ending things there, it will not be a solution at all -- just an invitation to a war. The withdrawal may not be to the green line; there might be a trade of lands. The East Jerusalem question is open, and needs negotiations. You, of course, don't care about actually achieving a solution that is equitable for ALL, do you?
