31. Investigation
Allan ,   Delray Beach, FLS   (06.12.06)
With predictable bias, the Arabs and the world media blamed and condemed Israel for an unspeakable atrocity. Ironically, it's now not so clear that Israel is at fault. Especially in light of the new developments where the Palestinians refuse to cooperate with the investigation, Hamas gunmen hit and scoured the beach right after the explosion and the lack of shrapnel on the wounded taken to Israeli hospitals. It is beyond contempt how the Arab and particularly the western media were so quick to blame Israel before all the facts surrounding the incident were revealed. That's not journalism, that's slander.
32. Response to Libyan Guy
tommy ,   Seattle Washington   (06.12.06)
In response to Libyan Guy's question about what the Arabs must do to make everyone believe that Israel has an apartheid system the answer is obvious: produce more believable propaganda. LoL!
33. #29...why are you in Italy???
DR ,   Florida, USA   (06.12.06)
your country wasn't that good to you? Did Qaddafi not treat you well? Well , the leaders in Iran will learn just like him if they keep screwing around. To say that Israel is worse or even the same as Iran and the Mullahs just shows your lack of inteligence and how brainwashed you are. Palestinians have been known to make up these attrocities and to inflate the number of people killed and injured. After a while, the world stops believing them. I'm not saying this didn't happen, but we need to wait and see why this happened and how these people were hit. Just like the Jenin "massacre", we need to investigate and find out the facts. I am hoping you are wrong!!!

ali ... it is not the first time that the idf killing innocents and children and it will not be the last .... i remember once i told a girl [it is shame to have a sexual relation with your boss ] she laughed and said [ the shame if any one knows about it ]and i see that israil fear that the world will know about its ............,,, but not ashame of the doing
41. palestinian woman
rosa ,   amsterdam   (06.12.06)
yes it happens in war. And it is awfull. The israelis try to avoid this. The hamas, jihad and hisbollah kill innocents on purpose. Israel needs peace to improve their situation, the palestinian militants need war to improve their situation, while the palestian people suffer. Only the palestinian people can stop them.
42. #40 Yes Palestinian Woman
Cynthia ,   USA   (06.12.06)
It will be very shameful if we find out Palestinians were responsible and they remained silent hoping Israel would take the blame.
43. 35 Muhammad-Ali at it again the BS poster
Gabrielle Goldwater ,   Geneva Switzerland   (06.12.06)
But of course You will ALWAYS refuse facts - it is because of your in-breading and brainwashing - and lack of independent education Sad !!!!!!!!! Israel News Agency reports: http://www.israelnewsagency.com/hamasterrorgazaisrael48770611.html "An Israel Defense Forces intelligence officer has confirmed that the explosion that killed eight Palestinians on Friday, was caused by a stockpile of Hamas explosives." The Israel Colonel who confirmed that a Hamas explosives stockpile killed innocent Palestine children on a Gaza beach, added: "It should be noted that the Hamas rockets which killed those kids came from Iran. For many in Palestine, Iran and Syria, those children are now merely good "martyrs" and serve as blood food for the Islam terror propaganda machine." Read his whole report.
44. TRUTH is IRRELEVANT to the PA and WORLD MEDIA
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (06.12.06)
Muslim human bomb killers slaughtered such huge numbers of Jewish innocents, the IDF were forced to search for the terrorists in Jenin. 52 Islamists were killed by the IDF. The PA falsely reported to world media that the IDF had killed 1,500 PA Muslims. The anti-Jew world media did not concern themselves to investigate if the false, venomous, slanderous, Jew-hating Jenin report was true. Israel was blasted and condemned around the world. Once again, with the full cooperation of a Jew-hostile world media, the Islamists scored a victory based totally on lies and deception-taqiyya.

Gabrielle Goldwater ,   Geneva Switzerland   (06.12.06)

pierre ,   belgique   (06.12.06)
The first point of this matter is,some people were killed..That ,the Palestinian media has well pointed out..The scene is rather dramatically,played,1-The press were there before the Ambulance, one Body lying with no apparent injury,no blood,no defiguration;2-The exessife reaction of this young girl, comming in from the right hand side of the camera,to fall beside her "farther";The area, does not seem to be greatly disturbed.3-If a shell from a war ship exploded ,where is the HUGE crater??it was to have made???Where are the other mangled bodies ?4-All the personel belongings are apparent, and neatly placed, only to be "Re-orginised by some of the multitude of people on the scene..Why was the Shrapnel removed from the BODIE'(S)before taken to the Israeli hospital??All this can be seen in the video, shown on AL-JAZEERA. After all the fake funerals, supposed massacres, deliberte killings the Israelis are supposed to have inflicted on the Palestinians,This unfortunate incident,is yet once again the Proof that the Palestinian people, have NO respect for their own,Let alone for themselves, as they will use themselves in any way possible to discredit the Israelis..and finally ,the NON co-operation of the Palestinians,in this matter,is but the sad proof of this sad story.
47. Conspiracy theory
Andy ,   MK   (06.12.06)
Its great to see there are as many Israeli nutcase conspiracy theorests as there are anti-semite ones! Will you listen to yourselves! None of you have any of the facts, and yet you're already discounting either possibility. Could the IDF have made a mistake? Of course they could!!! Why is it so hard to believe?!?
48. #47
tony ,   paris   (06.12.06)
Of course there could have been a mistake,Andy, but you have to admit, yourself, even though the Israelis have for the present ,taken blame,There is little,if no co-operation from the Pals..and if this was a "Mistake "by the Israeli army, where is the crater left by such a bombardment???the Body of the Palestinian, lying on the beach, next to the screaming girl, does not have very much shrapnel or blood. Those "bodies would have been blown apart ,so you see, after all the Lies and FALSE,deaths, the Palestinians have already tried to throw down our throats, and that have been proven false ,can you expect us to go all the way on this unfortunate incident..At least the Israelis,Do admit, their mistakes;;The Palestinans NEVER have,in fact they call it "WORK ACCIDENTS".or Israeli,agression..Like "The Supposed Jenin Massacre,The explosion of rockets during a Hamas rally, they were very quick to say Israel, was behind it??etc ,etc..When they finally had no choice but to admit that it was their fault,as many Honnest pal citizens explained later ,that it was a bad manipulation,by,their men. Now if the Pals, were a LITTLE more co-operative.We would be more inclined to see the truth.and one more thing, dont you think it was a little convenient for the Hamas to have this happen, just at the right time when Abbas is calling for a referendum???You cannot honestly blame People for thinking the way they are .regarding this matter.

reflexive denial of all wrongdoing is a sign of warfare and one's position in it. the absurdity of the knee-jerk reactions and denials by those of you supporters of Israel is, I wish I could say enlightening, but i can't. denial of wrongdoing is a sin that Jews should be, or would seem to be expected to be, particularly wary ofengaging in. yet, and i'm assuming that many here making those sorts of comemnts are jewish, we have a dsplay in this talkback in un numerous others in this paper and others rhetorical controtions of a houdini-like level in trying to deny a smiple explanantion: an israeli shell did it. we don't **know** for certain--at least any of us here--that that's what did it, but using occam's razor and the common sense logic that would explain 99.x% of this type of incident says it's an israeli shell. denying obvious or near-obvious wrongdoing on one's own part only undermines your credibility when decrying wrongdoing by others. to those commenting about "Arab" lies: No you have it wrong. in the israeli-palestinian history the truthtelling has more often been a palestinian trait than an israelie trait: PArtition: jewish leaders said they accepted it, palestinians said they did. the palestinians were being honest. the jewsish leaders weren't. they didn't truly accept the partition, but said they did in order to establish a legal foundation for some land to use in pursuit of conquering additional land of "greayter israel." that's what the jewish/israeli people have been doing ever since. 1949 UN 194 Israel said it would accept 194, meaning letting the refugees RETURN (a real RETURN) as a PRE-condition of being admitted to the UN. Israel reneged on it's promise--"lied"--it never intended to abide by the agreement. It still hasn't; it should be kicked out of the UN based on that alone (should ahve been done 50 years ago). Numerous other lies: "occupied territroy" to be returned after making peace. lie. denial of expansionist, colonial plans. lie "temporary" settlements. a "barrier (not a "wall") not intended to form borders but merely to ensure security. lie. 1967 war was a "pre-emptive" strike LIE. See: Rabin in Le Monde 1968; Begin New York Times 1982, and about 3040 other top Israeli politcal adn military leaders from that time-period. All saying that the strike wasn't pre-e,ptive, they knew nasser wasn't going to attack. On the other hand, some palestinians and other arbas: don't want israel to exist (i think they're telling the truth about their feelings), want to destroy it, etc. Immoral and horrific as those comments and ideas are, at least they're being honest about what they want, in contrast to the LIES of America Jr.--Israel. It's one shell that unintentionally killed a family, admit to it before you look even more heartless, stupid, and corrupt.
52. Kofi Annan: Palestinians wouldn't blow up civilians
Ilya Meyer ,   Gothenburg, Sweden   (06.14.06)
Kofi Annan said in an interview with London-based newspaper Al-Hayat (reported in Jerusalem Post on 14 June 2006): "The Israeli claim that the (Gaza) beach blast was caused by an explosive charge at the site sounds strange to me. I don't believe it is plausible that the Palestinians planted charges in a place where civilians often spend their time." Mr Annan doesn’t believe Palestinians would plant explosive charges in places where civilians often spend their time? Would someone please ask the UN Secretary General how he can stay on in his job if he is unaware of the innumerable explosive charges the Palestinians have placed on Israeli buses, in Israeli schools, restaurants, bus stops, shopping malls? Or does the good Mr Annan subscribe to the Palestinian view that all Israelis, even two-year-olds, are part of the “Zionist war machine” and therefore not civilians? This is perhaps the most outrageously insensitive statement that the UN Secretary General has ever made. His replacement is long overdue.
