1. What's there to weigh?
J K ,   NYC, USA   (06.13.06)
Hamas acts agains the good of all. Not that Abbas is some sort of panacea as evidenced by his laughable suport of the 'Prisoners doucment' writter by murderers which is basically an internal 'Palestinian' agreement regarding the 1st stage of their dismantlement of the State of Israel. In intenral civil war is only a positive development in the short run for Israel. It would soon spill over the borders into Israel forcing Israel to reoccupy and quell this nonsense. I only wish all the 'Palestinian' leaders the worst of health. Yes, you are allowed to hate your enemy.
2. Abbas weighing dissolution of Palestinian people ?
Marcel ,   Florida   (06.13.06)
The joke of freedom and democracy ,emperor Bush style ? Will the emperor permit the will of the Palestinian people to be dissolved by a defeated Abbas ? The majority of Palestinians voted for Hamas so the majority of Palestinians should be dissolved.
3. Hamas' demise
Moe Chile ,   London, Canada   (06.13.06)
The Hamas government should have been removed and dissolved from day ONE. This charade has caused the death of too many lives and is a bane to the entire world community. Why this has been allowed to go on for so long is beyond understanding. No terrrorist organization should ever be allowed to run in elections anytime, anywhere. The UN, the Quartet and many others are as much to blame as are the Arabs for letting this happen in the first place. Even my own Canadian government who sent observers to the Palistinian elections in January should be called to account for there part in the facilitation and aid to a terrorist organization. Justice and accountablility is what is demanded from all quarters; who will take responsibility?
4. Disband them Mr. president....
Ramzi Sfeir ,   Bethlehem,Palestine   (06.13.06)
Disbanding this controversial government will be a wise move! From the day this government came to power, our daily lives didn't stop deteriorating because of stubborn policies without any future( not only with diplomacy issues, but educational and social issues too)! This is Palestine and not Iran , what applies to iran will never apply to palestine! no to Theocracy! Yes to RealPolitik ! Hamas once was in the opposition and it was easy for it to criticize everyone and everything! Now they are under the light and their political incompetence is very clear! This applies to all middle eastern parties and movements who claim that religion is a power source! Rather we do politics or religion....the Fact that Prime minister haniyeh exposes his political plans in mosques makes all his statements irrelevant... Mosques, Synagogs and churches are not Political podiums but places that have to be respected! If Mr. Haniyeh has anything to say, he has to say it in front of the legislative council or in front of the Palestinian national Television...and not in front of people who pray! THE MOMENT THAT WE ENTER PARLIEMENT, WE HAVE TO LET OUR RELIGIONS OUTSIDE! Yes for a Negotiated , free, independant , peaceful and secular Palestine! Mr. Abbas, it is your call! YOU CAN DO IT!
5. Abbas: IDF attack – state sponsored terrorism
michael ,   tel aviv & london   (06.13.06)
Abbas is just another terrorist but he's using a 'political' approach. Plus Arafat's 'I'm too weak" which is nonsense. Does the following sound like some one we want to deal with ? Abbas: IDF attack – state sponsored terrorism President of the Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas condemned the IAF attack in the Gaza Strip and said that it is a "State sponsored terrorism". Abbas statement came after nine Palestinians were killed in an IAF attack on Tuesday, among them three Islamic Jihad members and two children. (AFP)
6. like a chinese menu

7. Ramzi,dont let the Greenies hear you-youll need a Green Card

8. Abbas disband Hamas
Lee Lipman ,   England   (06.13.06)
I just want to commend Ramzi on his take on this issue. He is a man who speaks moderation and not the fanatic religious doctrine of Hamas and others. If there was a stronger Palestinian voice with the modetate and sensible aspirtations of Ramzi then we would be living in peace. Well done Sir!
9. To: Mr. Abbas:
Leon ,   Grand Rapids U S A   (06.13.06)
It's too late now ! Before the election, when you were urged to take action against terrorists, you said you will "reason " with them. This is the result of your "reasoning". You showed weakness, and they laughed at you !
10. # 4 Ramzi,ahalan

11. no coincidence Ramzi lives in Bethlehem
Simon David ,   London UK   (06.13.06)
soon after Hamas came to power, christian friends of ours in Bethlehem/Beit Sahoor had their factory burnt down, and it wasn't by Israel Im glad Abbas is finally getting some steel in his spine
12. Simon Simon...
Ramzi Sfeir ,   Bethlehem,Palestine   (06.13.06)
you got me VERY VERY WRONG! I am not against hamas because its islamic! I am against it because its religious! i have absolutly no problem with any muslim on this planet and i am living in peace with my compatriots, whether muslims or christians! .....
13. NOBODY WILL BE FOOLED
Arik Silverman ,   Milwaukee USA   (06.13.06)
This maneuvering is clearly undemocratic, and nobody will be fooled by it. It exposes the hollowness of George Bush's "democracy," and no Arabs are going to be interested in something so transparently undemocratic when it doesn't produce the results the puppet masters wish to achieve. I can't help but think of Adolf Hitler's similar manipulations of the Reichstag and German government in 1933 and 1934. Hitler was very careful that everything he did was absolutely legal. He took advantage of loopholes in the Weimar constitution to work his will, and we know what the result was. Abu Quisling Abbas should be very careful whose footsteps he trods in.
