What stoped the shelling was the huge invasion of lebanon and also retalliation by the IDF. Wonder why he forget's this important fact. All Peres ever did was to give up everything and collect Nobel Peace Prizes.

When the Sderot residents do so and there is no light, that actually is a step to fix the problem, preventing accurate aim of the missiles at night. That is what is seen as unacceptable. But it is a great and very effective protest in my eyes, to say that this is not the "Olso peace", but the "Oslo war" that Israel is finally going to involve its population centers in defense against. I would say that another effective move would be a fireworks show to light up Gaza. If they are firing missiles they might as well celebrate under light. That way pictures can be taken of those launching the attacks. Fireworks are not very expensive in the defense of a city. P.S.
