1. Finally something that we can ageee on. Gays!
Palestinian   (06.23.06)
2. Jews; Arabs are your enemies not Gays.
Daisy ,   USA   (06.23.06)
Being raised Catholic I understand the moral arguments against homosexuality but Jews should not align with their enemies to take a stand against gays. Nazis are against gays would but Jews wouldn't align themselves with them to make a moral point.
3. READ "THE PINK SWASTIKA"

5. Jews n Arabs against terrorism
Russel ,   Tlv   (06.23.06)
Now THAT'd be a worthwhile protest. I guess it's to much to ask for from a bunch of fundamentalist extremists like this lot who seem only able to unite in hatred.
6. There are nutters in every religion

7. hate will bring us together?
avramele   (06.23.06)
the same disgusting thinking that brings them to cheer when the "others" children are injured now unites them in hate.
8. Irshad Manji

Andy   (06.23.06)
which holy site I can go to. Isn't that chutzpah. Thank God the Government of the State of Israel is a free, democratic state in the midst of an autocratic, theocratic middle east. See you all in Jerusalem for World Pride 2006!
10. LEVIN NOT A "LEADING RABBI"!!!! YNET DO YOUR RESEARCH
David ,   New York   (06.23.06)
This extreme Right-Wing fanatic has his own TINY fringe organisation. He is NOT a leading rabbi by any stretch of the imagination. Among other things, he is a supporter of Pat Buchanan, he "excommunicated" Sen Joseph Lieberman, defended those who call the participation of Jewish doctors in perfroming abortions "the greatest holocaust in all history, and a supporter of Donald Wildmon, of whom the ADL said "no major figure in the [Religious Right] movement has made anti-Semitic thinking more central to his or her agenda" This guy is an enemy of the Jewish community in the USA, not one of its leaders. Please do your research and get your facts straight!!!
11. hers SOMTHING that arabs and jews agree on

Michael ,   Tel Aviv   (06.23.06)
Nice move! Orthodox rabbis and Sheiks pull the same string. Maybe, extremims is not so different anyhow... PS: no, I am neither guy nor leftish.
13. The gay parade
leah amdur ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (06.23.06)
The goyim from the USA who are trying to have the gay parade in Israel appear to be bipolar, sychofrenic, disfunctional leftists. They are off tract if they think they can get muslims and religious jews to unite with them. The gay parade will not come to Jerusalem because it will be a political risk, they will be too scared to come. The right wing Jews and arabs have united and if they dare set foot in Israel there will be bloodshed. The security infrastructure needed to protect the parade will cost too much. The State of Israel will ban their entry for security reasons.
14. Get out the sanity restoration pills if Jews align
Bunnie Meyer ,   Santa Monica, CA   (06.23.06)
themselves in any way with the people who have vowed to kill all the Jews. We would all be more safe living next to a gay couple (who have no hatred for Jews") than we would next to a "palestinian" family who believe it is their job to take over the world and eliminate all Jews. Before you start hating gays and plotting their death, remember who wants to kill you and who wants to have sex in a way that offends you. A gay is much more your friend any day than a bus bomber. You don't have to like gays or what they do, but they have not declared their intent to kill you and you don't need to put up a fence to keep them from blowing you up.
15. Why Are You Trying to Imitate the Arabs?
Michael ,   New York   (06.23.06)
Sad and pathetic that some Jews are willing to turn against fellow Jews that happen to be gay and join with our enemies in condemning them. Gay Israelis serve in the army, pay taxes, and have been fighting and working for Israel as much as anyone. By the way, the religious Jews who love to hate gays should remember that hatred of fellow Jews is what destroyed the second temple. I have no hatred for religious Jews and respect their lifestyle, even though I disagree with many of the things they do. Unfortunately, many of them are full of hate.
16. 7 - Not hate, but disgust brings us together
(06.23.06)
Many people are simply disgusted by it and do not want it to happen. Not everything can be labeled as "hate," although you would like it that way to make yourself feel sanctimonious.
17. Restore the Sanctity of Yerushalayim
Paqid Yirmeyahu ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (06.23.06)
Those who don't appreciate the need to sanctify Yerushalayim are either goyim or meshumadim but they are NOT Jews, which are defined by the Bible. If Jews or Muslims beg the question, before even getting started, by conceding acceptance of homosexuals as merely "gay," then they have lost before they begin. Homosexuals are Biblically-defined as abominations, perverts that deteriorate the moral values of society; homosexuals, not happy, harmless "gays." For years, I warned that desensitization and societal acceptance of homosexual perverts would embolden other perverts, from pedophiles to rapists, to push a similar strategy to gain acceptance. Beside the upspike in pedophilia and other sexual perversions in America and Europe, this has already happened with their formation of a party in the Netherlands to press for lowering the age of consensual sex (to 10 or 12, as I remember) - maybe they'll convince everyone to call them "play-pals" instead of pedophiles??? -- I remember when the idea of calling homosexuals "gay" was preposterous. We've already seen people marrying their pets. If we don't stop this perversion now we can expect the same to happen here - where we've already seen a woman marry a dolphin. Muslims, however, are the worst profaners of the Temple Mount. I've personally observed them playing with their dog and cat on the Temple Mount (I have photograph proof) and demanding insistently that nuns and other women, some of whom, statistically, are menstruous, stand on the rock that is most probably the location of the ancient Holy of Holies. Muslim "holiness" slogans are mere sanctimonious hatred in disguise. They need to clean up their act as badly as Jews need to clean up our act. Then, perhaps, the sanctity of Yerushalayim can take precedence over hatred. 18. Ban the gay/queer parade...........
Avraham ,   Netivot   (06.23.06)
There is no way that the gay/queer parade should be allowed to happen in the holy city of Jerusalem. Ban them forever from holding it. We don't need nor want this schmutz there.
19. nonobservant Jew opposes parade
RobertK ,   Jerusalem   (06.23.06)
I'm a nonobservant Jerusalem Jew and I strongly oppose this parade. Flaunting intimacy in the streets is an offense to public standards. The paraders are claiming that society hurts their feelings and this is a way to compensate for it. They know that the vast majority of Jerusalemites oppose this parade because it hurts THEIR feelings, but the paraders don't give two hoots about that. In fact their aim is to provoke and irritate. Homosexuality should not be persecuted but it also should not be encouraged. Many people have a potential to go either way. Society should strongly encourage them in the pro-life, heterosexual direction that enables procreation. People who are gay and only gay should be tolerated and treated well, on the tacit understanding that they keep their intimate life behind closed doors, the way normal, mature heterosexuals also do.
20. Don't Listen to Idiots
David ,   Toronto, Canada   (06.23.06)
Don't pay any mind to the chief rabbi and his cohorts or the Islamic sheiks. These are mindless religious zealots. Such people are not reasonable or sensible. As a Christian there is one thing I can tell you for sure and that is that Jesus Christ would be leading that gay pride parade.
21. To #8 So what................
Avraham ,   Netivot   (06.23.06)
Good, I am glad to hear that. Now let her hold her gay/queer parade in Toronto & not polute Jerusalem.
22. Daisy (#2) Arabs SHOULDN'T be Enemies, Homos ARE abomination
Paqid Yirmeyahu ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (06.23.06)
You may have been raised Catholic, but you clearly haven't read the Bible or you'd know that homosexuality is an abomination to Jews because of Biblical Authority, not mere "moral argument." The same Bible defines Arabs as our cousins, who SHOULDN'T be our enemies. They ARE our enemies because they have strayed, led by a false prophet into the apostasy of a Displacement Theology. We could get along in the same land if it wasn't for our intractably conflicting views on what the Almighty says, in which "holy" book, about who is holy and what constitutes holiness for governing this land that we both hold "holy." Seculars and Christians have no understanding of the intrinsic nature of this conflict when they aver that it's just a dispute over real estate. They freely and frequently reiterate that they just can't understand why "the religious" keep thwarting their naive daydreams. Anyone who doesn't realize that all of the physical laws and evidence in the universe demonstrate that everything has a cause, and can't induce from all available evidence that the universe itself must likewise have a Cause, lacks the sapience that defines a homo sapien. At least Christians and Muslims understand that the Singularity-Creator has a Purpose, implying an Instruction Manual for Life (Hebrew for "Instruction" is "Torah" -- which, contrary to popular belief, doesn't mean "law") and that the Torah, Yerushalayim and Israel play a key role. To dismiss all of that, including the Bible's view on homosexuality and Arabs, implies a lack of sapience. Judaism, including those associated with it (i.e., Jews) have been persecuted because Displacement Theology depends upon invalidating and destroying Judaism (including Jews unless they convert, which proves the point) because a valid Judaism precludes a Displacement Theology (Dt. 13.1-6 and others ad infinitum). Judaism and Jews are persecuted because Torah precludes Islam and defines Muhammed as a false prophet just as it earlier precluded Christianity and defined the post-135 C.E. Hellenist Roman man-god idol, J*esus, false (again, Dt. 13.1-6, et al.). As a consequence, both religions can only validate their own religion by invalidating their predecessor religion(s). That's why Muslims can never avoid having to destroy both Christianity and Judaism and Christianity can never avoid having to destroy Judaism -- because Torah declares both are false. Why else, BTW, would the Int'l Red Cross allow the cross and Islamic symbol but imprison the Judaic symbol inside a prism? Both Islam and Christianity can agree on that. Misojudaism isn't very subtle. Since there is only One Singularity-Creator and one history, there can only be one logical truth about them. The only solution is to put that logic and the documented facts before our own belief system. I'll give you a hint. I did that. I was a Baptist preacher and now I'm an Orthodox Jew. 23. You Shame Judaism by your intolerance!
David ,   Karmiel   (06.23.06)
We Jews demand tolerance of our religion by others. The moment some says anything anti-Jewish or, for that matter anti-Israel, they are anti-Semitic. I am no different. However, how dare you demand tolerance when you are intolerant of others who have opted for another lifestyle? You condemn gays but you sanction Haredim, rabbis and religious teachers who rape and assault children, theirs and those of others! Get your own house in order Rabbis. Another wise man, some say a Rabbi, once said let he who is free of sin cast the first stone. We know what they did to him, don't we? You don't like homosexuals, that's you choice but you do not have the right to persecute. If you think you do, then please go and join those who persecuted and murdered 6 million Jews and countless Gypsies and homosexuals just because they where different!
24. David in Toronto (#20) is Right About J*esus!
Paqid Yirmeyahu ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (06.23.06)
Accordingly, homosexuals should all carry crucifixes along with their placards as they cavort nearly naked -- in St. Peter's Square, not Yerushalayim! Paqid 16, The Netzarim Israeli Perushim-Heritage Jew Advocating Logic as Halakhic Authority Welcoming non-Jews www.netzarim.co.il Ra'anana, Israel
25. David in Karmiel (#23) Re: Tolerance
Paqid Yirmeyahu ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (06.23.06)
As an Orthodox (not Ultra-Orthodox) Jew, I stand for Torah, and Torah certainly doesn't "sanction Haredim, rabbis and religious teachers who rape and assault children, theirs and those of others." You impugn Orthodox Jews by your assertion, and the Hebrew word for an impugner is satan. In logic, it's called, among other things, generalization; smearing. You're right that we Orthodox should get our own house in order -- and rejecting homosexual abominations and perversion from our midst is certainly one positive step in cleaning up our house. And who is "they" whom you insinuate crucified Ribi Yehoshua? You make it sound like it was again the rabbis to blame? Learn some history. It was the Hellenized pseudo-Sadducee priests of the Temple, whom both the Pharisees and Khasidim Qumran Sadducees called "Wicked Priests," in collusion with the Hellenist Romans. The rabbis, by contrast, argued in the Sanhedrin that the Hellenist pseudo-Sadducees should stop persecuting the followers of Ribi Yehoshua (the Netzarim) and, later when a Hellenist pseudo-Sadducee Wicked Priest, Ananos, murdered the leader of the Netzarim and brother of Ribi Yehoshua, Paqid Yaaqov ha-Tzadiq, it was the rabbis who condemned the murder in a Roman court, causing King Agrippa to depose Ananos. Before the forcible Hellenist Roman gentile takeover in the wake of 135 C.E., which created Hellenist Roman gentile Christianity and the Church, the rabbis were proven friends of the Netzarim. Today, the rabbis are responsible for losing 95% of the flock and, thus, are feckless shepherds of Zekharyah 11.17. But there remains a remnant of a few good rabbis, who are good shepherds struggling to improve Judaism; and they need our encouragement and assistance. They don't deserve your smearing them with outrageous allegations. Stop caricaturizing the rabbis like the Nazis did, and Muslims do, equating Jews to the prosecutors of the Holocaust. Rejecting homosexuals from our midst is cleaning our house, not persecution of homosexuals. If you don't like a Torah lifestyle, then Israel, which is defined by Torah according to Torah standards, is not the place for you. You're free to leave. There's a whole world out there that is as perverted as the homosexuals. No one is imprisoning you or trying to exterminate you. You can go almost anywhere in the world and roll in its filth to your heart's content. Israel isn't the place for it. Paqid 16, The Netzarim Israeli Perushim-Heritage Jew Advocating Logic as Halakhic Authority Welcoming non-Jews www.netzarim.co.il Ra'anana, Israel
26. Not the place for it...
Z ,   Almost there....   (06.23.06)
I'm a semi-observant Jew...not Shomer Shabbat nor Secular either; and consider myself open-minded...HOWEVER....I still believe in the holy sanctity between the union of MAN and WOMAN...it is the way HaShem fashioned us....anything else is a deviation from HaShem's creation. Now while I also wish Gays "To live and be well and be happy" I also believe that Jerusalem is NOT the place for a parade to celebrate an aberration of HaShem's intended design of the relationship between male and female. Jerusalem is holy ground and a parade such as this would only serve to defile ground that many Jews have given their lives to keep holy and pure. They can move their parade to Tel Aviv or better yet Haifa, which I believe is even more "secular" than Tel Aviv and would cause less congestion and security problems. I think for these parade planners insisting on Jerusalem only serves to stir up the ire even in those who are not religious. This only makes them less liked as a group and causes people to feel less accepting of them. But, then again I believe that anything that deviates from the accepted norms such as homosexuality involves some sort of anger and agression towards society and oneself. Shabbat Shalom.
27. Liberal terrorism or peace?
Gordon Shifman ,   Shoham, Israel   (06.23.06)
Israel's liberal terrorists should address themselves to what is more important for them: (a) To coerce the entire Arab abd Jewish population with their own worldwiew, and thereby totally alienate the vast majority of the Arab sector (and Arabs in the Palestinian Authority); or (b) To restrain themselves in the cause of (possible) peace and not unessarily antagonize the Arabs by foisting their unwanted views on them.
28. SECULAR COERCION
T.R.W. ,   Israel   (06.23.06)
It seems that these days any time someone religious stands up against or for something the secular people shout "religious coercion!!!" The seculars have made what they call being "liberal" the only way to be. what this means is that anything religious is fascist and anything secular is liberal and ok. Not OK! this liberalism has become its self a facsistic coercive suppressive cult of secular fanatics who rule out the feelings and wants of any one different from themselves. Jerusalem is a holy city with a majority of religious Jews, Christians & Moslems. If they do not wish that this 'event' take place in their majority city, and the seculars want to do it anyway with out disscussing it and considering these feelings than this is the true coercion by the seculars who have become exactly what they despise: a cult of "secular religionists", whose 'lawsof liberalism' take the place of the ten commandments/Sha'aria and they have no tolerance for others feelings.
29. I wonder
I wonder ,   Jerusalem   (06.23.06)
...if the GLBT community would agree to dress modestly and abstain from public touching during the parade. Would they make this compromise to the traditional Jerusalem public in the interest of love, tolerance and peace? I sincerely doubt it. Maybe they should consider that serious people can't take them seriously as a movement or a political voice as long as they dress and act like it's a public orgy. If it's not all about sex...if there is more to these people than their deviant sexual practice, why is it that sexual deviancy is all that is presented to the public? This is the only side they show to us. Could it be that this is really all there is? Maybe so.
30. To no.3
Connie ,   USA   (06.23.06)
I waited until this morning to see what others had posted. As of 10 p.m. est. last night no one had. It was worth the wait. The book sounds very interesting and informative about the nazis and the homosexual agenda. I will go to my local library to see if they have it. If not I'll request that they order it so myself and others can read it.
