What all the talkback articles fail to understand or realize is that the call for sedition and to act in a treasonous manner are not being touted or encouraged by a RABBI, or for the sake of Judaism, therefore it is protected by freedom of speech. This problem is not for the Rabbis of Israel to decide, it's strictly civil..in this case military. A soldier takes an oath, whether in Israel or the US, to protect the country. A soldier also is nor forced to obey an illigitimate order. We now are witnessing the repurcussions in the US of what may be criminal acts by marines. However, we (US) are at war in Iraq, and soldiers should do their job. It is the same in Israel...at war with the Palestinians. Remember who started this war in 48 and 67, it was not the Jews.
