31. What you gonna do? shoot us?
Peter   (06.24.06)
Ha ha. You think we care what the PA think? My father served in the Irgun and he shot alot of these people. Whats the difference? We will do the same now and soon we will have their "state" too. To quote a famous song "Joined the Irgun in '41, to get the british on the run. Barrel bombs and milk can mines, and finish off with a homemade gun". If they want to play we can play too.

It seems that Jews will end up with nothing...! They left they homes and property in the Arab world for what they call aaliyah! And now their dream in the greater Israel is vanishing! You will end up having nothing I bet you!
34. Olmert is just an idiot!!!!
Alex G. ,   ROSH HA'AIN   (06.24.06)
The whole israeli government is corrupt and all they do is fight for those chairs in knesset, but nobody thinks of average israelis living and suffering from the stupidity that their government is doing. Peretz is just hungry for power, he was dying to become a prime minister, but when he didnt and was offered Defense Minister position, it was the dumbest move ever. He doesnt know what he's doing. Bring back Mofaz, he will destroy all those camps of terrorists that are hiding behind their children and then as the soldiers patrol the areas, they just like cowards start firing from behind the children. WHere did you see that? Not even animals will allow for their children to be used as a human shield. So what Olmert is saying is just plain Ludacris, its the same as sending soldiers unarmed into the heart of Gaza, where they will be linched immediately by those bastards that call themselves Palestinians. There will never be peace in Israel. Its not about the land, its about those arabs annihilating all the Jews from the area. We need to wake up as soon as possible. What happened to Gaza? Now they are closer and reach Sderot and Ashkelon, what will be next, when they withdraw from the West Bank? Qassams landing on runways in Ben Gurion? In Haifa, Herzliya, Rosh Haain, Tel Aviv........ We must fight for our land, NOT surrender it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! May Hashem bless our people and give us strength. Shabat Shalom le kulam!!!!

36. solution
Irwin ,   ny   (06.24.06)
As there is no peace partner with whom to negotiate and being that Olmerd insists on giving up Judea and Samaria and hidding behind his "security fence"- which rockets can easily pass over. Let his give the liberated land to those who want and desire it. Let all the West bank communities and settlements remain- a separate country from the 1949 borders. I'm pretty sure that the proposed country would be better governed than one run by terrorists (some even wearing suits). It could enter the UN and be showered with Dollars and Euro's, and become a true democracy in the Middle East. And the arabs living in these area would be permitted to remain-
37. So who will help them....
Robby ,   San Jose, USA   (06.24.06)
Build cities, pave roads, create business', heal the ill, etc? They need the Jews there and they all know it!
38. Arabs To Arabia, Jews To Judea!

39. Arabs and Jews in the Southland
Dave Levi ,   Burbank. USA   (06.24.06)
For those interested, here in Southern Calif, there are 60 plus ethnic groups, including milions of Jews AND Arabs ( I know, I've met a few so-called Palestinians), We might not be attending each other's weddings and bar mitzvahs, but we also are not firing rockets at one another. There is no reason why Jews cannot live in a new Palestinian country...and Arabs remaining within the green line. In fact, both groups would be helped in many ways. But then there is reality..the reality that we Jews are not wanted anywhere, except on the planet Mars. It's an old story....illogical, but reality.
40. It is not true that Jews are not welcomed!
Palestinian   (06.24.06)
Palestinian Jews lived in Peace in Hebron for 2000 years during Arab and Islamic Rule on the area. The conflict in Hebron for example only started during the zionist immigration to the Palestinie mandate. So Jews are welcomed. However the problem is in some Jews. They do not identify themselves as a race or a religion or nation or what? They are quite confused about it and they are not in harmony sometimes in the areas among which they live. Some arrogance and so forth... No argues that Jews are in many places at the top of Science and Engineering and Medicine and so forth. But it is those Jews who deny the other. Like look at the talk backs! Some people still say Palestinians did not exist, came from Arabia and so on of lies...!
41. What he means by : Settlers not welcome in Palestine
(06.24.06)
is that these people are living on confiscated lands. Without them returning the right of this land to the owners, and without resolving this issue, they are not welcome. Settlers are new comers, they do not have right in this land they live on except what they believe GOD promise land right. But on paper work, they own nothing, and they are just thieves.
42. Read between the lines...
Nawal ,   usa and palestine   (06.24.06)
You cry like little kids and repeat things over and over again when ONE palestinian says something naive. Do some of you people here only read the bad info posted about palestinians? Why dont you guys talk about the 80 percent of palestinians who actually want a state of their own, like mahmoud abbas is sugesting? Why dont you guys talk about the palestinians who want PEACE?! and you know what...so what if Nayef said he dosnt want the SETTLERS in palestine, israel is building a wall thats already taking more and more land from the palestinians, so come on, is it such a crime he said that?! Hmm, i think some of you need reality checks. dont hate so much, work for peace, its much better. Palestine and Israel will NEVER find people if people like you guys keep acting this way. seriously.
43. To #41 and his translation
TM ,   jewlicious.com   (06.24.06)
No, what he means is that no Jews may live in a future Palestine, just as no Jews may currently live in Jordan with its Palestinian majority or in Gaza. How do we know you're wrong? Because prior to 1929 in Hebron and 1948 for east Jerusalem, there were Jewish communities in these towns going back millenia, except for some brief periods when all Jews were evicted from Jerusalem. Sadly, after Arab pogroms in 1929, all of Hebron's Jews fled just as they were forced to leave east Jerusalem in 1948. Therefore, when you translate what he says to suggest that he means Jews in Judea and Samaria are newcomers and thieves of the land, you are making an historically inaccurate statement and an accusation that is untrue for the most part. That's not to say there haven't been cases where settlements have violated Israeli law by building on Palestinian owned land, but that remains the exception rather than the rule. The point of this article is simple: the Palestinians reject the presence of a single Jew living among them. Anybody who explores the history will immediately recognize that this is not a recent development but one that sadly goes back to around 192o. This posture by the Palestinians bodes ill for the future because the two sides need to find a way to establish two states. I would guess that you, #41, would be up in arms if Israel declared that it's non-Jewish citizens must leave and may not remain in the state under any circumstances. Yet that is precisely what you would like to justify here. Oh, and let's be clear that the vast majority of "settlers" are peaceful, good people who simply want to live in peace.
44. #41 I dont know who taught you these nosense
Caligula's Horse ,   Solomon's Stables   (06.24.06)
But all settlements were built on land bought from Arabs or previosly owned by Jews (Gush Etzion, Jewish quarter, Jordan vally).
45. To Fanny
Yehudit   (06.24.06)
The difference is that according to the Israeli Supreme Court, Israeli Arabs have a civil right to purchase a home in your neighborhood. That's what civilized countries do--they protect the rights of all their citizens. While it is very attractive to say "they ban us, we will ban them", Israel is a democracy and can't fall to their level of inhumanity and discrimination.

52. Settlers not welcome in Palestine
Samir Younes ,   Spånga, Sweden   (06.24.06)
Hi, As a Palestinian expatriate, I agree with Sheikh Rajoub, the Palestinian minister, in his denial for the Israeli settlers to stay in the Palestinian territoris after an Israeli pullout. If the arrangement is reciprocated by Israel by allowing Palestinians to return to their homeland, which they were forced to leave, then it would be a natural matter to accept people to live anywhere provided they would assimilate and abide by the country´s laws where they have chosen to settle.
53. #33 "palestinian"
kapara   (06.24.06)
You are an ahabal, I did not leave iraq to make aliyah, I had to flee after family members and neighbors were killed in the street. All this after the arab decision to make war instead of peace time after time after time. Only the "palestinians" are not to be held to account for their actions throughout their 40 or so year history. If you want to be a nation, something you have never been in the history of humanity, start being accountable. I spent my first 8 years in israel living in a tent city. Perhaps if israel had kept me in a "refugee camp" then I could beg the world for pity like you. Be ACCOUNTABLE. Let the arab countries absorb you the way I had to be absorbed in israel along with a million other jews from arab lands. When you decide to make war instead of peace you should have to live with the consequences, just like me.

you are sitting in Israel's Jerusalem get out - shut up 1. Nationhood and Jerusalem - Israel became a nation in the 14th century B.C.E. Two thousand years before the rise of Islam. 2. Since 1272 B.C.E. the Jews have had dominion over the land for up to 1,000 years with a continuous Jewish presence in the land for the past 3,300 years. 3. The only Arab dominion since the Arab invasion and conquest in 635 C.E. lasted no more than 22 years. 4. King David founded the city of Jerusalem. Mohammed never came to Jerusalem. 5. For over 3,000 years, Jerusalem has been the Jewish capital. Jerusalem has never been the capital of any Arab or Muslim entity. Even when the Jordanians occupied Jerusalem, they never sought to make it their capital and Arab leaders did not come to visit. 6. Jerusalem is mentioned over 700 times in Tanach, the Jewish Holy Scriptures. Jerusalem is not mentioned once in the Koran. 7. Jews pray facing Jerusalem. Muslims pray facing Mecca (often with their backs toward Jerusalem). 8. In 1854, according to a report in the New York Tribune, Jews constituted two-thirds of the population of that holy city. 9. In 1867, Mark Twain took a tour of Palestine. This is how he described that land: A desolate country whose soil is rich enough but is given over wholly to weeds. A silent, mournful expanse. We never saw a human. 10. In 1882, official Ottoman Turk census figures showed that, in the entire Land of Israel, there were only 141 000 Muslims, both Arab and non-Arab. 11. A travel guide to Palestine and Syria was published in 1906 by Karl Baedeker; estimated the total population of Jerusalem at 60,000, of whom 7,000 were Muslims, 13,000 were Christians and 40,000 were Jews. 12. In 1922, with what was widely acknowledged as the illegal separation of Transjordan, the Jews were forbidden to settle on almost 77% of the Palestine, while Arab settlement went unrestricted and encouraged by British mandatory authority. Did you know that Saudi Arabia was not created until 1913, Lebanon until 1920? Iraq did not exist as a nation until 1932, Syria until 1941; the borders of Jordan were established in 1946 and Kuwait in 1961. Any of these nations that would say Israel is only a recent arrival would have to deny their own rights as recent arrivals as well. They did not exist as countries. They were all under the control of the Turks. Over 80% of the original British Mandate land was given to Arabs without population transfer of Arabs from the land designated for Jews.
55. 52 Samir Younes: sitting in Sweden and cannot remember
Gabrielle Goldwater ,   Geneva Switzerland   (06.24.06)
history: Wake up and study facts: The term "Palestinian" is itself a masterful twisting of history. To portray themselves as indigenous, Arab settlers adopted the name of an ancient Mediterranean tribe, the Philistines ("Invaders" in Hebrew), that disappeared out over almost 3000 years ago. The connection between this tribe and modern day Arabs is nil. Romans, in order to conceal their shame and anger with rebellious regions, changed the references to Judea and Samaria by naming them Palestine. 1. 57. Jews chased from Arab Lands
Gabrielle Goldwater ,   Geneva Switzerland   (06.24.06)
Resolutions introduced in the U.S. Congress call for any reference to Palestinian refugees to be matched by similar references to Jewish and other refugees. The number of Jewish refugees from Arab countries far surpasses the number of Palestinians who became refugees in 1948. http://www.jta.org/page_view_breaking_story.asp?intid=2887&ref=daily_briefing
58. END the ARAB OCCUPATION. JEWISH REFUGEES Must Have JUSTICE
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (06.24.06)
56 Muslim countries. Only one Jewish state. 22 HUGE, oil-wealthy Arab countries cover over six million square miles, over ten percent of the land surface of earth. TINY, over-crowded Israel, only one tenth of one percent of the Middle East. Stop the land grab of Jewish land! Radical Leftists, racists, human rights destroyers/IslamoFascist religious supremacists seek to deny Jews the right to live in their Biblical heartland of Judea and Samaria because they are Jews and not Muslims. Around 1948, Arabs violently ethnically cleansed one million Jews from Arab countries. Arab governments seized the land, homes, bank accounts, businesses and assets of the Jews. Most Jewish refugees fled to Israel where the religious terror war against Jews never stops. It is unacceptable to Muslims for Jews to have self-rule. A bloody jihad that spans the globe. It is essential Arab countries compensate the Jewish refugees and their descendants - half of Israel's Jewish population - in land and finances. This urgent human rights issue must be discussed constantly with Road Map architects - U.S. EU, UN and Russia, and in homes, schools, social activities, cultural events and synagogues.
59. RIGHT of RETURN of JEWS to ALL THEIR LAND
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (06.24.06)
Right of return is non-negotiable. All land stolen in the 1948 Islamic invasion must be returned. In 1948, Egypt invaded Gaza, ethnically cleansing all Jews. In 1948, Jordan invaded Judea, Samaria and east Jerusalem, ethnically cleansing all Jews. Jordan destroyed 58 sacred synagogues in Jerusalem. In 1967 when Israel won Islam's war of aggression against it, Jews returned to the areas of their homeland they had been ethnically cleansed from for 19 years. Fascists DECEITFULLY call this return "occupation". Under international law, territories are considered "occupied" only when taken in an act of aggression which does not apply to Israel. Judea, Samaria and Gaza are not 'occupied territories' according to international law because they were not taken from any foreign sovereign. The religious terror war against Jews never stops. It is unacceptable to Muslims for Jews to have self-rule in the tiny, re-born Jewish state. It is a bloody, global war to subjugate every nation to Islam, ruled by sharia law. The return to Jewish ownership of the land, homes, properties & businesses stolen from the Jews in the 1948 Islamic invasion is an urgent human rights issue requiring constant discussion with Road Map architects - U.S. EU, UN and Russia, and in homes, schools, social activities, cultural events and synagogues.
