Gerd Schulz ,   Germany   (06.26.06)
32. Be Logic
Pro Ellen ,   World   (06.26.06)
1 Why to blame palestinians? while we all saw the child girl of 10 years at the shore of Gaza beside here massacred family. 2- The West Bank which is supposed to be the second part of an assumed palestinian state, side by side with Israel. 3- I recommend Mr. Olmert and the Israeli people to start negotiations with palestinian immediately, even with hamas as they are the DEMOCRATIC choice of Palestinian people. (Do't forget that all israeli leaders, starting Ben Gorion, shamir Rabin and until Sharon are Ex TERRORIST according to the British mandatory definitions and Summons were issued against some of them). Hopefully you will understand that this is the sole way to setdown a sustainable PEACE if you would like to. Thanx
33. Tzevi Lebni agrees with Ofer
farid ,   Ramallah   (06.26.06)
I agree with Ofer, and that exactly what Israeli foreign minister Tzevi Lebny said last month, when she said that targetting military targets is not terrorism inher opinion. at the same time, Israel breached the borders into Gaza last saturday and Abducted 2 palestinians civilianz.
34. Cut the water to Gaza
Arie   (06.26.06)
Lets stop pumping water into gaza with on water lets see how long it takes before the kidnaped person is returned and for every kasam cut the water for a three weeks. Let them know the cost of there actions
35. legitimate, smegitimate, who care.
Benjamin ,   TA Israel   (06.26.06)
Just cut water and elictricity supply from PA as a warning. Also legitimate.
36. It's a perfectly legitimate declaration of war
Yosef ,   NY, USA   (06.26.06)
Any civilian deaths are the responsibility of the Arab government in Gaza which was complicit in this attack.
37. No it wasn’t terrorism – not this time.
Boaz ,   Ramat Gan, Israel   (06.26.06)
Out of a huge number of enemy attacks, a few are military attacks – and a handful of them are successful. But the overwhelming number of enemy attacks are murders and attempted murders of our civilian population. Like those qassams attacks on our cities and villages. As for international community – which international community? The Ellen Prescott types? Those who see targeted killings as ‘extra judicial killing’ even thou those are weapon carrying enemy combatants who conduct and command attacks on us from places THEY CONTROL. Are these the international community? Those who consider it legal for them to attack our troops (and civilians) and illegal for us to attack their troops? Oh – and not every military attack is legal, and after we left the Gaza Strip the pretext of occupation no longer exist. But then they never fought the occupation – like Ellen Prescott they see our very existence as a crime.
38. #28 bainem
joshy boy ,   u.s.a.   (06.26.06)
please explain your logic. according to you the terror attacks in england, spain, u.s.a. ect. are legitimate acts of resistance also. the islamic outlook at any democratic government is an occupation of "infadels in what could be islamic land". are you legitimatizing islamic logic? has it ever dawned on you that any other country that attacks and captures alien land and opresses the natives are considered legitimate owners. so how come israel, which was attacked by three countries and crushed them back, is forced to give back land and is called the occupiers of palestine? i'm sorry to say that the israeli army oppresses the palestinians alot less than they oppress themselves. you should know that the palestinians are considered the armpits of the arab world, and no arab country wanted them. along came the turks and brits who let them use the land. trust me they weren't treated nicely by the turks, and the brits just used them to play their fun little war games with the jews. however they never got any rights to any land from the brits. their claim to the land isn't more than a bunch of brittish mandate files saying that they were allowed to use the land, thats it. one last thing, the palestinians like to play the victim. by oppressing themselves and saying that others are doing it, or commiting terror acts and claiming that its all because of their dire conditions and depression that they are blowing them selves up (fyi. according to the koran you can't be depressed if you are a martyr) they can retain their victim status, thereby getting world sympathy. this is an easier and convinient way to get money and get others to punish your enemies. by making a half-baked government that doesn't really do anything, except for pretending to be busy and fighting, they can easly keep their victim status. so i wouldn't say that israel is occupying, they are more like feeding the palestinian victim image.
39. One Point Of Difference
David ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (06.26.06)
I agree that striking military targets is legitimate in terms of carrying out armed conflict and does not properly constitute terrorism, but rather, serves as an act of war. And, as such, we are fully justified in waging war without any regard for proportion in return. We should march in and kill every member of these organizations - every member. But I disagree that an act of war is difficult to condemn. Israel withdrew to an internationally recognized line and then the Pals crossed it and committed an act of war. That is very easy to condemn, especially when there is so much pressure to come to the table and talk.
40. Kerem Shalom attack
zvi ,   los angeles usa   (06.26.06)
The attack is part of a larger aggressiveness of hamas which is emboldened by Israel's weak response to the repeated attacks against its citizens. The real news is not whether or not the attack is "legitimate" The REAL NEWS is that the mighty army of Israel is not a deterrent to hamas. Why? Because the government of Israel does not take appropriate action and looks for international acceptance PM BenGurion always understood that once the deterrence of the IDF was gone Israel was at a disadvantage to the Arabs They are more numerous than us and the world will never defend the Jews The only solution is for the PM and his cabinet to deal a blow to the hamas which it will not forget for many years to come That is how we made peace with Egypt. Remember 1967 and 1973? Egypt made peace when they realized they had no military option Please Mr. PM DO NOT ALLOW A TERROR STATE IN GAZA AND THE WEST BANK The Jewish people will forever regret allowing that to happen Destroy the hamas military wing NOW before it is too late
41. Gaza is still occupied
A Bethlehemite   (06.26.06)
not that I condone the violence or any attacks for that matter but many here need to understand that Gaza is still occupied. The Palestinians do not control the air space, sea or airport, borders, water, electricity and food supply without the consent of the occupying power. Gaza is still occupied territories but at least today it is free of illegal colonization.
42. Cut off Gaza's water: No soldier returned = No water
Dudu ,   Kfar Sava   (06.26.06)
If they kill our soldier, we will never switch on the water. Let the Goyish Amalek decide!
43. Israelis declaring war on subjects whom they occupy
Ellen Prescott ,   Southsea, Hampshire   (06.26.06)
This is probably the worst scenario the world has ever witnessed. The Israelis are occupying, torturing, oppressing, humiliating, starving, and denying the existence of an entire nation. It really is true that the oppressed become oppressors.
44. if anyone would write/tell
luxcasta   (06.26.06)
if anyone would write the same about Jews what certain people do tell or write about Palestinians here, they would be called N****!
45. ??
darryl ,   israel   (06.26.06)
we kidnap them they kidnap us we kill them they kill us we lynch them they lynch us WHEN IS ALL THIS GOING TO END
46. IS IT ANY WONDER

THE MONKEY`S CONFUSED
47. The guy can not see forest from a tree. Shcwantz.
Ron ,   LA   (06.26.06)
The guy can not see forest from a tree. Shcwantz. Those " peacenicks" onle legitimise Falisteenian murderers. Never IDF. Their agenda is to promote Arab nationalism, their new pet. Amazingly NO western media outlet was discussing wheser it is legitimate, just Israeli marxsists. Very telling... It doesn't matter to this "peacenick that Israel does not occupy Gaza" .The guy can not see forest from a tree
48. to 25
paulo2006 ,   lisbon,portugal   (06.26.06)
MED usa asked : Why didn't these cowardly dawn-bandits come directly overland rather than through a tunnel, inorder to attack Israeli soldiers? end of quote. They did go in the open direcrtly to the barrier many times. But they get killed. Here is the proof Palestinians killed on Gaza border Wednesday 08 February 2006, The army confirmed that troops fired on a group of gunmen near the Karni border crossing on Wednesday, saying they were suspected of trying to plant a bomb at a buffer zone where there are Israeli patrols. (end of quote). So to claim palestinians were cowards because they sliped under the border makes no sense. Men with rockets only did attack a tank. Is it cowardice ? It is unbelievable how bigotry can make people blind
49. Israel is Therefore Lost
Dave Levi ,   Burbank. USA   (06.27.06)
Correct me someone, but didn't Israel defeat 5-6 Arab countries, using outdated aircraft, improvised artillery, and even buses carrying troops instead of APCs? This guy thinks that Israel cannot defeat the Palestinians, when everyone, for years, including Janes of London, predicted a victory by Israel within 3 days, left unchecked. If I were living in Israel, reading this rot, I'd be packing my bags..ready to move to a safe place...like Brooklyn, NY. My Vietnam War friends tell me that Israel, like the US, is fighting with both hands tied. Left to it's own, one tank column can obliterate the Gaza Strip..that is the power it has. Sure, if Israel continues to peck away at the Arabs, the Muslims can fight on forever..considering their birthrates and Israel's sensiblities. As far as other nations...since when did Israel care? This guy underestimates Jewish resolve and capabilities, and overestimates others.
50. All Israel has to do
NTI ,   Red Chili   (06.27.06)
is to emulate the BEaST man ever, the prophet mohamad, i.e. "8:12, I will instill terror into the hearts of the unbelievers (muslims): smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them ." This is one of the "finest" verses that the koran prescribed.
51. Kick the arabs out and nuke them
Michael ,   Kiryat Arba   (06.27.06)
Then let God deal with them
52. "Legitimate" Borders
anonymous ,   jerusalem, israel   (06.27.06)
How far should Israel retreat before its borders are considered "legiltimate" and attacks on those borders finally deemed illegitimate. '67? '48? How much land should Israel give up before its borders are considered acceptable?
53. Zionist hypocrisy
Karl Jacobsen ,   Copenhagen, Denmark   (06.27.06)
Palestinians killing Israelis - terrible ;quite true. Israelis killing many more Palestinians - glorious self defence ? It seems that ever fewer people accept that kind of hogwash. The fairy tale vision of Apartheid Israel is coming to an end.
54. to 38
(06.27.06)
"The Islamic outlook at any democratic government is an occupation of infidels in what could be an Islamic land". This was your statement. If you start your talk back by this statement, you need to read, and listen to different media and books than CNN and Fox news. You see, to be honest, what you just said is completely outlandish! do you live on the moon?
55. to 37
(06.27.06)
YOu left gaza, but you retain the Palestinian government money, you control their water, air space, navigational water, food and medical supplies. You shell them all the time from the air and land. You call this a no-occupation situation? .. allow me to correct you, it is an occupation outrightly. In addition, less than a week ago, and in many other occasions, you crossed the lines to kidnapp (call it arrest if you'd like) some palestinians. How respectful of you to palestinian soverignty you show!! ... Shalom!
56. to 25
(06.27.06)
If we follow your logic, then UK and USA troops are cowards because they hunt Palestinians from the air, where their victims can do nothing about it. Also Palestinians do not have tanks, so Israeli, UK, and USA troops hiding in them is cowardly act as resistence members do not have such equipment. The list is endless. You logic is so ill that i regret even replying!
57. to 18
(06.27.06)
Is Israel behind all 67 borders? does Israel recognise them? give over, what you said is really insensible!
58. attack on soldiers
Israel Zwick ,   nyc   (06.27.06)
An attack on soldiers is an act of war and Israel has every right to respond in force. Any Eyropean country whose army was attacked would also consider it an act of war. This is not what civilized people do.
59. Dhimmi Karl; Denmark is coming to end soon! Hello Euroarabi
Daisy ,   USA   (06.27.06)
The Arabs are taking you over! Israel will be around long after your disgusting country is gone.
60. #1 and 43
Moshe ,   Rockville,MD USA   (06.28.06)
Aha, "mutineers" is another name for terrorists in this instance, unless the attack was ordered or conducted by Hamas or other vermin, in which case they would be named as - oh-terrorists. Regarding the so-called illegal occupation, since there is no government of Palestine, the territory remains under the authority present at the time of the 1948 War of Israeli independence.
