31. ISRAEL RADIO REPORTS U.S. HAS VETO POWER OVER ISRAELI ACTION
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (06.27.06)
The United States appear to have completed their total control over Israel. If America was under total attack day and night from Islamists as is the case with Israel, America would show no restraint - she would fight back and bomb her enemies to hell. It is grievous, the U.S. government is not a friend of the Jewish people. Israel is our best and most trusted ally. It is not Israel that seeks our death and destruction - it is the Islamists. Will Israel's Jews revolt and surround the Knesset, demanding the basic HUMAN RIGHT of protection - to fight back with all their might and win the war? The U.S. EU UK UN and Russia call the war against the Jews, the peace process. Dr. Aaron Lerner - IMRA - 27 June 2006 - Israel Radio indicated in a report this morning that Israeli officials have effectively given the US veto power over Israeli action. The reporter explained that Israel cannot launch a major operation inside the Gaza Strip without America's consent.
32. #16 inappropriate language
Rustum ,   London, UK   (06.27.06)
You said: "you are the scum of this earth". Not very nice way to carry on a conversation. Obviously a debating tactic you learnt at whatever primary school you went to. How dare you also specify what is an "act of terrorism". Terrorism is directed against civilians - the way Israel rains fire from the heavens, or demolishes houses in Jenin on top of the inhabitants. Terrorism, my dear Ms G, is occupying millions of Palestinians for over forty years and letting them starve to near death. Terrorism, my dear Ms G, is uprooting hundreds of thousands of Lebanese civilians, stealing water from teh West Bank, bulldozing mosques, eradicating villages, denying equal opportunity. Furthermore - perhaps you'd like to clean up your act and to stop throwing around words like "idiotic moron" "scum" etc. They will only rebound on you.

Talula ,   Israel   (06.27.06)
Could you just explain why you think Israel is letting them starve to death? How did you work that one out? What you have written here is an emphatic acknowledgement that Israel is the more powerful. I'm not sure that you are completely mentally balanced. But, like I said before, when you come back and live here, we'll chat again. I have a sneaking suspicion that you have a peanut sized penis, and that is why you live in the UK, you are scared to come and live here. You like to open your mouth from a distance but you don't practice what you preach, you are all air and small testicles.
34. No Restraint
Brod ,   USA   (06.27.06)
America should not tell Israel about restraint. When two American soldiers in Iraq were kidnapped by Arab Islamist-Jihadist savages, they sent thousands of American soldiers to hunt down the terrorists in their attempt to find their kidnapped soldiers. Israel should not listen to crap advice from any country in matters pertaining to their national security and defense of their nation. In fact, Israel should have done what the American Forces in Iraq did, that is, effect a massive military operation against the enemy 24/7 immediately.

37. # 31 Rivera Finally Makes Sense
Jack Friedman ,   NY   (06.27.06)
Just one correction - Israel has ALWAYS taken its marching orders from Washington, D.C. And, those nukes - they belong to Uncle Sam. Did you really think the U.S. and its western allies were going to trust Israel with nuclear weapons?
38. I will answer your questions waeL
Floyd   (06.27.06)
"AMerican stupid" No, American will kick your ass. "oh really now 1 person is so important than 10,000 plaestinian prisoner??" Yep "why?" Because he is an Israeli soldier and Israel is doing what any country should do. Protect its citizens. "is he an angel?" Close. He's a soldier and soldiers are angels in my eyes. "and palestinians are animals?" Not all of them. Just the trouble makers who like to hide behind women and children like the coward savages they are. Control them and this whole mess can go away. "1 more thing if those 10,000 pal. are terrorist because they are fighting israeli army, what about the israely soldier." First, the palestinian terrorist savages don't fight the Israeli Army. They target civilians on purpose and please don't try to deny this because all the world see's your for the liars that you are. Second, now that you have kidnapped an Israeli soldier, he should be afforded the rights of the Geneva Convention. Look it up. "he was working on a tank right?" I guess "so he is also a terrorist. right?" No, he's a soldier. He is protecting his people from attacks by your people. Hopefully this soldier will be re-united with his family soon.
39. why the heck should we listen to this idiot!?

40. #37 U.S. Exerted INTENSE Pressure on Israel for MANY YEARS
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (06.27.06)
Your comment on nukes doesn't make any sense. Iran repeatedly threatens to wipe out Israel and destroy the U.S. Obviously, the U.S. and its Wesern allies don't trust Iran and its drive to subjugate the world under Islam, ruled by sharia law.
41. #31, #37 Israel needs to be resolute
Brod ,   USA   (06.27.06)
If it is true that Washington is telling Israel what to do in managing her national security interests, then it is time for Israel to tell them to stop interfering in her internal affairs. Israel is a sovereign nation and does not need to be treated or bullied like a small child. Israel needs to be resolute in defending herself in the face of external aggressions. No country, person or entity should have a say on how Israel defends herself and stamps out the aggressors. And if they continue to meddle in Israel affairs, Israel can tell them to go to Hell.

weapon cooperations etc.... esp. the security Israel wants to fit themselves into some material - which would be then above the one in performance of the other countries - which the US refuses to accept that Israel adds to the aircrafts - (like scrambling detection etc) The US plays a game of self-interest only - since they make profits their end - and finally Israel would be better of without the US
44. THE QUESTION OF RESTRAINT
Dr. Rick ,   AL. USA   (06.27.06)
Dear friends, I thought every one would have gotten this by now. Israel, being as capable as it is,and despite the excellent job it is doing under these harshest of circumstances, has its hands full. For its size and abilities, no other nation on earth could do a better job of protecting its citizens. This being said, the reason America must stick its nose into Israeli affairs, when and where it it is not wanted, is for the reason that Israel, for all its greatness,MUST NOT BE DRAWN INTO A LARGER WAR FOR ITS OWN PROTECTION AND SURVIVAL. In essence, America is watching Israels back. There are enemies all over the globe. A seemingly local confrontation can in an instant go global ,and I dare to say nuclear. This nobody wants! When criticizing America ,folks should keep this in mind. Everyone needs to see THE BIG PICTURE. America is not perfect. It is made up of people. America, Israel and its allies work as a team, each playing its role. team members often get frustrated. That is the nature of things. I hope this message can remain up for our friends to see and contemplate. This is the American point of view that I have come to learn and appreciate. AMEIN.
45. 44 Rick: not very right. The US first goes after it's own
Gabrielle Goldwater ,   Geneva Switzerland   (06.28.06)
Interests - that's a fact You say: .......MUST NOT BE DRAWN INTO A LARGER WAR FOR ITS OWN PROTECTION AND SURVIVAL. In essence, America is watching Israels back .............. Not quite so ......... The US has Arab Oil on it's mind - first second it will only follow it's own Interests first - since it has Arabs on it's back because of the Iraqi war --- Arabs - esp. Saudi pressure - is - Do as Saudi says - pressure Israel - and or otherwise we'll cut our US interests - and Oil Example: Bush To Dismiss U.S. Ban On Military Aid To Saudi http://menewsline.com/stories/2006/june/06_23_3.html so far we only have heard words - never seen actions - some actions as US sanctions that still stand now against Israel - are still in place Why ?

if u can swallow gaza, it's all yours! but i guess we both know you would choke on it and die painfully and slowly if u dare shove such a big bite up your throat! so cut the self-restrainment crap boy! killing a dozen palestinian civilians a day is a crime of war, and you all will be punished for it sooner or later... make no mistake about it.
47. #43, #44 Israel should say NO to external influences
Brod ,   USA   (06.28.06)
Gabrielle and Rick, I have noted your points. However, I still believe that Israel should not allow any country to manage her national security interests and defense policies. The fact is the US needs Israel more than Israel is dependent on the US. As a Super Power, the US needs as many good allies possible including tiny countries like Singapore and Brunei because of their strategic value. The enemy of the Free World is Islamist-Jihadist terrorisms. Israel should not accept external influences that are detrimental to her national security interests and defense policies. It is time Israel learns to say NO to external interferences. Only Israel knows the best strategies in defending herself from external aggressions and threats to her existence. She should never rely on any country on these issues. And it is none of the other countries' business to interfere in Israel affairs. It should be noted that America owes the Jewish people greatly. it was her Jewish Scientists led by Oppenheimer, Teller and their colleagues in the Manhattan Project that made America the Super Power of the world. And Jewish contributions to the world in high technology and the Sciences are far more valuable than any Arab Islamist-Jihadist oil. Israel has all the rights in the world to defend her historic and biblical Land of Israel, which she inherited from her forefathers-Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Israel) 4000 years ago, from Arab Islamist-Jihadist aggressions. As a sovereign nation, Israel should not allow any other country to interfere in her defense policies and strategies in the face of external aggressions and existential threats.
48. Gabrielle, you've brought up some very
Dr. Rick ,   AL. USA   (06.28.06)
good points. I must say. Yes, we do take care of our own and that Saudi oil thing is a big bone of contention here as you know. Somehow the big oil and its ties to our foreign policy does not get the same exposure in the popular day to day news sources. We know that a relationship exists that is always just looming there but the details are not something that they wave in front of us from day to day. In any case , its not something that we get to vote on directly. Issues are not framed to solicit the input of the general public in these matters. That is the realm of lobbiests , interest groups and Big Oil. We get to deal with it somewhere else down the line, for instance, at the gas pump.We must not forget that Bush is an old oil man.In any case, its not something that we get to vote on directly. Such as whether or not the US should divest its interests from the Saudis. Either thats the case darling, or I have been totally oblivious.Which means that I should apologize for my lack of attention.I thank you for your attention to detail. I bow to your experience in these matters darling. It appears that you may have an even better vantage point than I from your little Swiss chalet' over there in Europe. By the way, thanks for the link.

I asked you to answer my points; you didn't. I asked you not to label me a "terrorist lover" because I am no such thing; you called me a "little Muslim hero"...with "a hate agenda against Israel and jews". You even stooped to the pathetic level of calling me mentally challenged. If you know so much about international law, why will you not respond to my points? Please, I am willing to listen.
