32. Well let me assert something to you causal observer
Floyd   (07.03.06)
While your pandering to the savages in palestine, just remember that they too fire shells into Israel. They couldn't control the idiotic savages among them and now Israel is going to kick there collective asses.

TO THOSE WHO WILL NOT BARGAIN WITH THOSE WHO HOLD GILAD PRISONER I JUST ASK : WERE HE YOUR SON WHAT WOULD YOU SAY ? WHAT WOULD YOU TRY TO DO ? AND YOU MR OLMERT, IF YOU WERE GILAD'S FATHER ? ------ Reasons of State or ways of our LORD ?

I agree with much of your sentiment. However, your recipes for post-disengagement Gaza are really quite simplistic and based more in fantasy than reality. Do you seriously expect the Pals to begin nation building under their grinding poverty and suffocating encirclement by Israel? Do you think that a few greenhouses left behind by the settlers are enough to base an entire economy on? Are you seriously suggesting that the Pals have no axe to grind with Israel, given the latter's record of hostility, land confiscation, arbitrary killing and imprisonment? Perhaps you should take your own advice, and educate yourself about the issue a little more comprehensively.

Your proving that your just a dummy. Why arent you addresing the point i made that in war all is fair now and that Israel should and will destroy all fighting men women and child, would you not agree that would be legal, but i'm sure you brain is not able to translate this information keep talking your just proving how dumb you and your argument is. Wisdom friend is a key to your survival.

You make a point that they have a right to protect there home. Surely you would not mind then, that Israel protect its self for there Kasams and Ivade and kill who ever or what ever is doing the shooting since you call yourself a "casual observer" but i think you would say that Israel is the agresor then. i recoment you change your name from casual observer to casual thinker its more suited to your ways. But then when you kick in that thinking of yours its just plain dumb do everyone a favor stop being casual.

Your concern for semantics illustrates my point (#4) perfectly. Like semantics, image is important, because they both pre-condition the unquestioning mind. Captured to some is kidnapped to others. Martyred is liquidated. Civillian casualties are collatoral damage. You choose your perspective, and your semantics follow automatically.

Casual observer, you make it sound as if the Palestinians had no choice. Israel will stay around over there for the forseeable future so people must get used to being neighbours (not 'encirclers'). And I am not saying that the past should be forgotten and burried. It will at some stage become important to work through all that has happened between the two parties, remember and draw lessons for future generations. However, right now (or 10 months ago) it seems as if there were more important things to consider. Of course, it would not have been easy to start building and working towards a better future in a better place, but it would have been a good choice; the only reasonable choice. If you are given a choice between a violent fight that will incur further suffering everywhere or building and creating a better place to demonstrate to yourself, your neighbours and the entire world what you really want for yourself, isn't it obvious what you should choose? The choice is between violence/death and progress, a future, peace. No matter how difficult the peaceful choice, to me, it seems that its long-term benefits far outweigh their alternative and I do believe that Israel would (have to) do its part to help the Palestinians improve their lot, if they chose a much more peaceful approach.

Captured by IDF means put on fair trial for terroristic actions against Israel. Kidnapped means... kidnapped for no justified reason except to be used as a bargianing chip. Martyred, according to funamentalists, is what happens to mass-murdering terrorists when they die (preferrably in the middle of alot of innoccent civilians), they go to heaven and meet 72 virgins. Liquidated is what happens to those mass-murderers when we get our hands on them. Civilian casualties who occure during the proccess of fighting militias who hide in population is considered collatoral damage, check out the Geneva convention. Intentionally targeting civilians is a war crime.

They have nothing but ignorance and hatred. Palestinians and Israelis alike. They feed on ignorance and hatred.

Duh. Don't you think that the merciful would better be those that captured him, giving him back for no profit, the way Israel has given everything during the peace process and gotten nothing in return? Besides, it's a fools game to free terrorists as there will never be a consequence for terrorism if we keep freeing them, and they'll continue to terrorize.

You mean give peace ANOTHER chance. No way. War saves more lives than the kind of peace Palestinians have in mind.
