Interesting article you posted. Too bad it's an edited excerpted of an ironic piece that the author wrote as a joke. The version you posted is missing the first paragraph in which the author points out that this essay is an example of what the gay rights movement would be like if gays and lesbians acted towards straight people the way straight people act towards them. Sheldon and the Traditional Values Coalition have been peddling this edited version as the "true gay agenda" for some time now, but it's about as valuable as the torah would be if you took out genesis.

Should not those of you who are quoting various scripture with such authority know that the sins of Sodom and Gamorah was not homosexuality, but inhospitability. The sin of Sodom was that they did not take to strangers into their homes, cloth and feed them and care for them as if they were members of their own families, but rather rejected them. It would be necessary to completely twist scripture out of place to get bad hospitality out of the teachings of sodom and gomorrah. It is an example to show God's intolerance and justice to prideful, arrogant, sinful behaviour (specifically homosexual behaivour in this portion of scripture) Lot, his wife and his daughters, the only family of whom God saved, was the only one not trying to have homosexual relations with the angels(in the form of men). Also, verse Ezekeiel 16:49 that you quoted does not refer to the city of Sodom, but rather a person named Sodom, so you are in error. But it would be worthy to point out one of the sins mentioned in that verse (that you so kindly referred to)is pride, which is what this parade is all about. It is really easy to see how a Gay pride parade is insulting, disrespectful, and shameful to have in the holy city, let alone anywhere in the world. It is just a big, in your face attitude show, to provoke those who they do not like, and to tempt the weak into the lifestyle of filth and shame.

My apologies, the verse Ezekiel 16: 49, does refer to the city of sodom, I made the common mistake of taking a verse out of context. But it does say: verse 50 "they were haughty and committed abomination before Me" Haughty describes the parade perfecty, and the word abomination is used multiple times throughout scripture to describe a homosexual act. I apologise for my original mistake, but I do not believe it weakens my argument.
