62. #59-ExJoeSupporter- Your point is well taken.
Dr. Rick ,   USA   (07.14.06)
I agree. The statement by Hyde is rediculous. Mind you, I am not "pushing" the Republicans.I am not "big fan ", but I can tolerate some, in the same way that I must tolerate some Democrats. I believe that we have to deal with a lot of nonsense from both parties. Neither one can claim a monopoly on truth. One some issues, one can come closer to it than the other. In some areas of concern one is better than the other. I find it very difficult in these times to place all my eggs in one basket. I personally view each Party as extremely devisive and polarizing, often produceing mind-sets that can obscure good sense. Its quite possible that you have a very valid point regarding Saudi Arabia. Our dependence on their oil can be a controlling factor on our policies. However I was not aware of this relationship regarding Hamas, which if true, sounds sinister. I understand that there are 2 factions within the Saudi Govt. one friendly to the US, the other, not so. How far each's influence extends, I'm not so sure. The enemy faction has produced the Wahabs.........You've given me plenty of food for thought.......I can see your point........I really hope you are wrong....about the wolf in sheeps clothing thing, especially since there are so many Jews entering the Republican party, particularly the NEOCONS. ....... But you just could be right ! .... I thank you for explaining your point, and for this conversation. SHALOM!

It's not our country which is to blame it is antisemites like you who have taken the Democrat party hostage
65. John L. Lewis, isolationist labor leader
Jack Goldberg ,   palo alto, CA   (07.14.06)
Facts right, spelling wrong: for the record, It's not Johann L. Louis but John L. Lewis.
66. I am Jewish, Liberal and mad at Joe
Kevin Weiss ,   Stratford, CT USA   (07.15.06)
He has betrayed the party by becoming and Independant and circumventing the voters wishes. For that reason alone I will vote for Lamont. Let alone his support for this Illegal Occupation of Iraq.
67. #64 Hilda...what on earth are you talking about?

68. Dual Loyalties are a FACT:
angeki ,   NY, USA   (07.16.06)
America needs to stop rolling over in the name of Jewish (i.e.white) supremacy, colonialism, or facism - we don't need to wipe Palestinians "off the map" for Israel - we or don't need to use American power to destroy Iraq or Iran or any other country that Israel needs to be destroyed so it can have "room to grow." Yes the Democratic party needs to rid itself dual-loyalty liberals and Jews. Liberman is an idiot who needs to loose his Senate seat - and join the Kenessit (with the other Liberman). Let him emigrate to his beloved Israel. And, he can take Edward Koch - a "liberal-gay-new-yorker" democrat who loves George Bush with him. These closet fascists need to either be Americans - and fly our flag or move to Isreal, join the IDF, fly the Star of David - and kill Palestinians who have the nerve to resist the way Jews resisted the Nazis or Indians resisted our colonial enterprise. The old dual-loyalty charge is FACT: Who or what is Lieberman et. al. loyal to? the U.S. or Israel? One or the other - do they know and love America and undertand that though we've represented both good and evil - that we can now make it more good than evil? If so - they can start by dropping their support for Israel.
69. #60 Primative thinking?....yes...
angelo ,   NY, USA   (07.16.06)
Tony, You are right - don't facilitate "wiping" Palestine off the map - yes, your'e anti-semitic and unpatriotic - but it's more than that. Judeo-Christian white supremacy is what it is. And people of color from Latin American to Nigeria and around the world are starting to unite against us. Africans were defeated and enslaved, raped and tortured, indigenous people conquered and massacred, Indians "wiped off the map" (as Irans leader likes to put it) - and reduced to selling cartons of cigarettes and running BINGO halls. Palestinians, Arabs, and Muslims however will be the Waterloo of Judeo-Christian supremacy. - We need not fear or focus on the absurdity of Islam - any more than we need to understand Christianity in order to understand what made John Brown a martyr against a horrible evil: the institution of slavery.
70. Leftist against America
D A Stokes ,   Bonaire GA   (07.16.06)
Most American will give a polite ear to critics who want to improve, but will not waste the time of day on those who want to revert back to failed practices. Those who want to hamstring people by leading them to belive that life is handed to them instead of being earned. Leftist believe the government is the saviors of economicly challenged, under eductated and less fortunate. True liberty is in the abiltiy and willingnes to .... DAS
71. #60- Tony, you should stay away from CNN!
RCA ,   USA   (07.17.06)
72. #68-Angeki, you are part right and part wrong.
RCA ,   USA   (07.17.06)
Either way, you may want to seek help.
73. #69
Sam Hall ,   Dalllas USA   (07.17.06)
You really should get your facts right. It was the Arabs that enslaved the Africans and then sold them to the highest bidder. Did you know that in Arabic, the word for "Africans" is the same as the word for "slave"?
