Do you blame Gilad's father for requesting that a neutral 3rd party (for once the IRC's anti-Jewish bent may benefit the situation) see him and confirm he is being treated well and is in good health? I am certain that the IRC would visit Gilad if Hamas allowed it - if that is your point.

6. why the red cross does not see Gilad
The Red Cross would be breaking down the door if Israel arrested a terrorist and put him in jail.
But when Gilad is captured, forget about it.

I think the point is that Israel does not regard Palestinian prisoners as Prisoners of War - whereas the Hamas made a statement that they _DO_ regard Gilad as a POW - and so the IRC should be involved as per the Geneva POW convention
