1. Anti-Rocket Defense
Bob ,   Arkansas, USA   (07.14.06)
The IDF and US Military (Darpa) was working on a Hummer mounted laser anti-rocket defense system. I thought this was in testing as of 1-year ago. Is the IDF using this system even though it is still in 'Alpha' testing?
2. Equal treatment for Hamas too

Palestinian do not have special treatment over the Lebanese. Take out their fuel storage tank to hamper terrorist movement to prevent Kassam fire..
3. Israel's leaders are out of touch with reality
Drumgoole ,   Newark NJ   (07.14.06)
This government is incompetent. Peres basically called the Sderot residents whiners and said that rockets falling on that Israeli town were no big deal. I wonder if the victims of the rockets agreed with him? I wonder if the residents of the Northern towns and cities agree with him now that they are under vicious attack by Hezbollah? In addition, Olmert and Peretz's failure to respond strongly to the rocket attacks emboldened the terrorists of Hamas, Fatah, and Hezbollah to escalate the conflict and now even Haifa is being bombarded with rockets. Olmert's strategy of firing rounds into empty fields just wasted ammunition. The recent action shows the how insane the concept of unilateral disengagement was. Can you imagine the US or Russia withdrawing from captured nazi occupied land and thus giving the fiends more territory to organize and maneuver? The US did just that in Viet Nam----sending out search and destroy missions, killing some Vietcong, and then relinquishing the territory to the enemy. We're doing it again in Iraq and we all know how that is going. Amazingly, the Israelis didn't understand this when they elected Kadim. Advocating a 2 State solution is not the same as unilaterally withdrawing from territory that you know wiull become a lawless, terrorist, and rogue state with a goal of destroying Israel. Why would anybody in their right mind think that a fence would prevent rocket fire? It's true that the fence has reduced the incidence of suicide bombings but a katushya can kill just as many people. Israel should have left Gaza only when the Palestinians made sincere gestures towards peace and demonstrated that they were willing to fight terror and keep agreements.
