Israel targets Hezbollah strongholds, while Hezbollah targets the soft underside of Israel (civilian towns and cities). This ain't a fair war Id say. Israel is being restrained in using it's awsome power, while no such restraints are used on Hezbollah. Lebanon has it's own fairly large army, but won't use it to thwart Iran's surrogate fighting force. Syria could say Nyet to Hezbollah, yet is supporting it. What is poor Israel to do? Commentators a quick to relate how the "heavy" shelling is being done by Israel's 155mm canons (into Lebanon). I suppose it's better than the reverse? Everytime Israel tries to make peace they get repaid with homocide bombings. The Palestinians and Hamas have made it clear that their ultimate goal is not peace, but rather to "drive Israel into the sea." How do you make peace with those who only want to destroy you? First it was "pull out of Gaza and we'll leave you alone." Then it's "pull out of Judea and Samaria and we'll leave you alone." Then it's "pull back to pre-1967 borders and we'll leave you alone." The next logical demand will be "pull back to pre-1948 borders and we'll leave you alone." You get the point... it never ends. It's about time Israel had the backbone to unleash fury on her enemies. Though, I do think Israel ought to exercise caution in bombing Lebanon. Israel may be going too far here. They should focus their energy on Syria, IMO.

Anways, we are in a state of war, neither Lebanon nor Palestian signed a peace agreement with the so-called israel. In this case kidnapping soldiers is part of our war.
